That if looms large.

I haven't watched him this season either but even if he is still good, it still seems a very strange deal considering our position, other needs and the path this ownership / management team has been taking.
Yeah but maybe they need experience in defense ala Kjaer.
I dont know & only trying to read their intention.

I understand your thinking on it.
From how management has been operating under RedBird it doesn't make much sense to me.

Now if that report about 4mill salary is accurate then I would be more inclined to believe it AND would also hope that they are adding others to go all out for top 4.

I prefer a couple of capable mids and a striker before a RB but will wait and see how it shakes out before the window closes.

Bondo is a good tackler, quite agile with decent technique, press resistant - very good potential.

I’d honestly look into Sergio Ramos if I was management!

And I’m going on record saying: There’s already to many British players on this roster. I want less, not more.

There, it had to be said!

But can he pass the ball? Milan already have 2-3 “Bondos” on the midfield.

Not winning against Cagliari becomes increasingly annoying seeing how this round of fixtures is playing out.

Hopefully that was just a blip and we can put together a real run.

We lost too many pts where it needed to be closed in our favour vs small teams last few rounds. Bologna, Roma, Cagliari we lost 6 pts. We'd be ok with that. Incredible stuff.

Our team is very limited, that's it. It lacks a top player in every department.

Ya it’s been like a 100 years since there was 2 Serie A teams or more in the QF in champions league. @pippofan remembers 2023 like it was yesterday

Back in 2022-23 you can only tune in to the champions league on radio. Not even black and white tv’s had the game
Well, I remember our first CL victory in 1963 which was the second held in its history and heard it on the radio with a bunch of friends in a barbershop where we used to hang out to spend time together. Italian TV only had two channels, RAI ONE and RAI TWO, that broadcast 8 or 9 hours a day and more on weekends. At the time the "Coppa dei Campioni" was limited to only clubs that won their leagues and wasn't as popular as it is today, aired in the old country at 3PM and wasn't televised.

I moved to the States in "66 so don't know when it was first on TV, but they showed some highlights a couple of days later filmed by some foreign channel, so I got to watch the goals scored. The radio announcer was a guy named Nicolo` Carosio who had also been the voice in our World Cup victories in 1934 and 1938 under Mussolini who used the titles as propaganda to boast of our superiority in sports and fitness. Carosio was excellent, very descriptive, somewhat poetic, and loved by fans.

Being old sucks, (though I don't feel it), but the positives are the many wonderful memories that it provides, and 62 years later I still remember the group of friends I spent that glorious afternoon with, some no longer with us and the rest still friends that I see every time I visit Italy, (last in 2023).

He seems to rush with his decision making - that's my concern, maybe because he is still young. I don't think he is a good passer as yet but he can dribble and tackle, and is athletic, I am ok with him doing the dirty work to give Fofana and Reijnders some breathing space in the midfield.

I hope that Conceicao moves away from the 4231 because we don't have a CAM, and I think we waste Reijnders playing him at CAM. Sometimes I think I'd rather play a 442 but there are games where even if we're playing against a smaller team, we need that control in the middle. I really value midfield control and dominance, so I'd rather have a true 433, unless we grab a true CAM. A player like a Greizmann would be wonderful if Moncada can find one.

I also think we lack subs for our wingers. There are games where you need your subs to help you out, and relying on Leao and Pulisic or Reijnders and Fofana, only, will just create space for more errors from them as they are just exhausted, they're human-beings.

We've forced Pulisic, Reijnders, and RLC into that CAM spot and while RLC scored a lot of goals last year, when he isn't scoring, he doesn't do much and we're seeing that this year.

This squad was oddly built. We got rid of too many players who could help the squad, we built a starting XI that is really strong... except at the CAM spot where we have no clear starter, and we've spent a lot for a terrible RB in Emerson, while the management act surprised with the lists and haven't brought in Italian-trained players to make the squad have more depth.

You need subs, not just to help you out late in games, but also so that you don't have to put out your starters against a Serie B team in the Coppa. We all know this, everyone here, except for our executives, it's crazy.

I hope Conceicao just accidentally finds players that help, like Omoregbe, or that Camarda and Zeroli can step up. If they really go for Rashford and/or Walker... man, I hope it works.

Exactly this. Most of us would’ve played false cards to convince the management to spend over 50M, including commissions, on Zirkzee – a younger, arguably better version of Morata. But let’s be real, he’s still only an enabler, not a finisher.

Once it was clear that ship had sailed, there was a case to be made for bringing in either Morata or Abraham – but not both. The problem with signing both is that you end up with two strikers who are useful in late-game situations or when you’re the underdog, but neither offers what we truly lack: a pure poacher with presence in the box and killer instincts in front of goal. And no, Jovic was never going to be that guy if that was the plan.

Strikers like that cost money. But considering how long we’ve been kicking the can down the road to avoid spending on a proper CF, it’s been overdue for far too long.
I was not against the Morata transfer since he had scored 20 goals at Atletico and played well for Spain but disappointed so far for his lack of scoring.

Our strikers need the prince boateng CAM mentality when they see the net. Just shoot it hard.
They did. Pulisic shot it so hard it hit the bar and flew out, remember? :kalulu2:

I think Santiago Castro is the striker they should be going hard after. Only 20 and seems to be the complete package!

And Angelo Stiller would be such an excellent signing for the midfield!

Alvaro Morata – who scored in Saturday’s draw – and Youssouf Fofana are one yellow card away from a one-match ban.

We face Ladri at the weekend.
Do they sit tomorrow?

PSG getting Kvara for 70m. Steal of a transfer.
Dude has 5 goals and 3 assists in 17 gamrs this season.

Scored 11 and assisted 6 in 34 last season.

Leao in comparision (who folks love to shit on) has 3 goals and 4 assists in 16 games this season and scored 9 and assisted 9 in 34 last season.

But yeah, Kvara is a steal lol. Dude is gotten found out already and is a massive flop waiting to happen at PSG.

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
I'd rather have Walker then Rashford. Coz Emerson sucks that much!
Given the choice I would skip on both of them. But as you say there is Emerson as Milan’s starting RB

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg/issue with many of their signings. Where to begin.
