Reports say Okafor didn't fail his medical, but they say he's "out of form," does that mean he's not injured but out of shape?

Luke Shaw looks like he plays on my Sunday league team, but when he plays (and isn't injured) he runs quite a bit and has a motor on him. I guess the question is: are Shaw's injuries from his weight?

I bring up Shaw because Okafor's weight shouldn't prevent him from being able to play, you can still be match fit and have stamina even with extra weight. Which is why this 3/4 week prep time in reports is weird. It sounds like he's injured but they're trying to cover it up.

Otherwise, I guess it would be that he passed his medicals but his results--speed and distance covered, VO2 max, etc were poor. That would be quite damning on him if true, but then again, we don't know the story yet. Super odd.

If he stays, I hope Conceicao can get a tune out of him, the kid has great talent.
Cardinale is too cheap to pay for Oka4’s ozempic prescriptions

We cannot buy anyone over 21 without selling anyone first. Either Jovic or Okafor.

Edit: we can buy Italians though.

Technically, we don't have to sell Jovic, we can unregister him and register Rashford.

Furthermore, we can buy and register U22 players and players trained in Italy (Ricci).

Messi & Ronaldo were outliers.
Two of a kind.
They have determination & aura that are different to others.

Rivaldo, R9, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Batistuta, Maradona, Pele, Kaka, Sheva, Van Basten are a tier below.

Dzeko, Crespo are one stage lower.
wtf! Maradona is below no1!

yr a safe guy, Akbar, good poster... but this post is super bs, all of it!

(apart from dzeko, he was meh & Crespo was ok.)

We embarass ourselves every fucking transfer window. Unbelievable
To be fair, this is more embarrassing on the player. It's humiliating to be found "healthy", but unfit to be on the field. Sure, Milan should not have players like this anywhere near the bench even.so that part is on us. Why are players that we pay so much not physically fit to be on the field (when they are healthy). But ultimately, this is on the player and it's humiliating for him. Maybe it sparks something in him to stop eating pasta and cake and start training and etlating like a real professional

Jerry talks a good game but apart from a supercup what’s he really delivered? I think I’d rather have a new stadium thanks

I mean it’s the bare minimum required for a professional athlete to be fit and available when not injured it’s a total embarrassment

Some names are just untouchable. Elite top tier cream or the crop

Maradona ronaldo r9 Pele Cruyff and a few more.
Messi and cr7 deserve to be there too. Longevity matters. Numbers are undeniable albeit different era.
I rate players based on playing strength not on team accomplishments, and longevity isn’t important to me either because it depends on too many factors and I don’t care how many goals they scored vs Eibar or Huesca
I just never fell for the media marketing for these 2 players
I know what they’re capable of and I know that their skills are greatly hyper-inflated because especially as soon as you saw them with less stellar teams like Argentina and Portugal they were nowhere near as impressive

Ronaldinho with a much crappier Barca was making life hell for Ancelotti’s Milan whereas Messi in his best season of his career was shut down by Allegri’s retirement Milan team with old Nesta and needed fake pens to score
The gulf between these 2 players at their best is much bigger than people think

I guess people just need to cope with how lame football has become and fool themselves into thinking that players like Messi and CR were as good as the top players from generations prior
It’s no wonder Cristiano feels so unfullfilled because he knows he never was the real deal like these legendary players he idolized were... his best seasons came when he let go much of his ego under Zidane and played CF
But despite all the plaudits that came from that deep down Crissy was not satisfied with that so when he went to Juve he regressed by trying to be the star again and insisting on playing at LW

And then you have Messi who ’won’ the WC by being awarded penalties and I’m sure it goes even beyond that, I’m pretty sure teams were bribed to let him win and even the entire final felt beyond scripted
The WCs before that? Pretty laughable, was even outperformed by Higuain in 2010.
Got BTFO by the mighty Chile twice in a row in Copa America

And if you were to rate based on accomplishments?
Well... Pele is probably never getting surpassed with those 3 world cups(would have been 4 if not for 1966) even if he missed out on ’62 due to injury but still

So to summarize: CR and Messi are garbage inbetweens
In terms of playing strength they are nowhere near the best
In terms of accomplishments they are pretty good but also not the best because they also can’t match Pele or Garrincha and other former greats.

A dispute over commissions or that Okafor's injury was worse than expected could make sense to me.

But, if it is true that he's so out-of-shape that he'd need 3-4 weeks before being eligible for selection would be damning on Okafor as a professional.

I see some Rafa fans trying to spin it, grasping at straws by trying to imply that Okafor is injury prone
But in reality this is the first big injury he’s had at Milan

I don’t rate Okafor but he for sure is professional unlike Leao
It’s obvious Leipzig backed out because he’s injured and according to transfermarkt he won’t come back until March

How can a guy be more “professional” but never be available for his team? What a dumb logic haha.

If it really was about commissions, I'd pick up the phone right now, call his agents and tell them if they make this deal collapse, Okafor is gonna play Primavera for the rest of his contract...

Does selling Jovic really help? Is he even registered?

After 37 minutes we can say that we tried everything but this club is simply cursed.

For 15 years, we have simply failed again and again, with two exceptions that prove the rule.

Since then, we've changed ownership three times, changed management and coaches at least as often and changed the squad several times. It's always the same pattern. Of course, we can now buy a striker for €70 million and fix the other problems in the squad. Then suddenly Theo and Maignan are playing rubbish. Someone always suddenly drops off in terms of performance.

It must be a problem deep down in the club culture or Berlusconi simply had a pact with the devil and the club is cursed.

What's the one thing they haven't done? It's not hard, something to do with the coach......
