We’re winning games in Sergio’s era despite of Theo’s subpar performances. I hope we get an LB who can challenge Theo. This team needs to be assertive. No tactics and schemes can succeed with a lazy and unserious defender like him. He’s getting cooked by bunch of nobodies this season.

stop clinging to the fluke performances from the scudetto season

since then he's on a downward spiral
Mate he's been carrying our defense for the last three seasons when Romagnoli/Thiaw/Kalulu/Kjaer keep getting injured/have major dips in form and cycling in and out of the lineup.
He's had to play with Theo, Calabria, even Krunic as a CB partner in that time.
The only reprieve came when last season even HE got injured for an extended period as well, which is when we saw the return and rise of Gabbia.
Gabbia himself had been a horrible backup until his loan and return from Villareal (last season by the way).
You lot have the memory of goldfish.

carrying

he's been carrying shit. he's an unreliable cb who depends primarily on his pace. his positioning and defending is poor and hasn't improved since he's been here, besides his brain farts consistently cost us points

england has garbage cb's and he still can't make it into the team

Part of me does want Pav to start against inter so bots can see how well his roaming around and ball chasing works against Thuram x Lautaro

No idea how people can't just appreciate a guy for 1 game without devoting their life to worshipping the dude and overlooking all flaws

We play Thuram x Lautaro 4 times per season and then there are 40+ other matches.

When you have 1 match every 3 days, having someone like Pavlovic as 3rd option isn't bad.
In fact, even if we want to sell him, we should do it in the summer when there is a slight hope of replacing him with a better player.

Today was clear.

Conceição started the game as usual, in Pioli's Milan mode, which means, calm, left side in position with Theo:uzikill: and Leão:jump:.

At half time he apparently had enough with 1-1 at the scoreboard and switched to Conceição's mode.

So he removed the entire left side, puts Bartesaghi to do Theo's job, insert two broken strikers up front, improvised a right back and a win came towards him after a lot of fight in the end.

Not to mention a entire piece of his mind to Calabria:spank: (who is the most weird leader captain Milan ever had).

Conceição today was totally a boss.

I am og Tomori fan boy.

I think he is over hated here but 30 plus million paid and this much experience and still similar player. I hoped he would have evolved into a leader with this amount of reps and become an absolute eraser.

He hasn’t caught up with his physical strengths maybe it’s him, maybe it’s the coaching, maybe bum cb partners, may be dest DMs, maybe it’s coked up gk.

I want to keep him but there is not a single complete cb in our roster. He was supposed to be the one.

Personally I hope he stays here well fuck I don’t care much about players especially senior players who ought to be at top of their peak powers after this much experience in the team. I love his attitude and personality but I expect much more from senior cbs and dms. A lot more.

I love him and will always love him if he doesn’t go to Juventus.

Lautaro will slice anybody, especially pavlovic who moves like a coked up Labrador but when Thiaw was molested by Thurman he was hailed as Arab beckenbauer who can’t judge pace or high ball.

I hope pavlovic survives merda:o

Apparently the reason for SC reacting like that to Calabria was because his attitude when he was subbed off. He was upset and being a cry baby despite putting in a bad performance. When Milan clawed back to win 3-2 the entire squad celebrated and was happy except Calabria who continued to dwell on being subbed off.. so rumor is that SC blasted him and said he should be ashamed having that attitude as 'captain' and should've played like one instead. Seems to make sense, you're the captain you play like dog shit and cry about being subbed off. We come back to a hard fought win and you're still being a cry baby. Bad example & I think SC is very strict on trying to change the mentality here.

Tomori over Badé in January 2021 was an unforgivable war crime

Oh I do... I'd love to others pointing fingers upwards more.

We moan about things that maybe affect us more, players and manager... But under RedTurd, we're regressed on the field.

We need to ask more from those in power.
I agree.

But at some point the rotten management poisons everything argument starts to wear thin.

Why is Leao trying more and Theo going for a leisurely stroll? Why does Pulisic give a shit? We can’t hold players like Theo to basic professional standards? Why should I refuse to apply a consistent standard to Theo, a hugely talented player?

I agree we should be comprehensive in our assessment, and any such assessment indicts management. But the players should be criticized too despite who they are, who brought them in or how much they have contributed to our recent successes.

Tomori is clearly not the solution next to Pavlovic, neither is Gabbia.
We 3-4 starter CBs with different charactericstics.

Each pairing, or triplet has it's own pros and cons.

I agree, Thiaw next to Pavlovic. Tomori and Pavlovic when we are playing one attacker short. So the DM slots behind and on of these two fers runs around biting players into their own goal.

Whoever you play will make mistakes because all of them have imbalances and we don’t have a proper leader in the back. Cbs are abysmal in reading, dm is a joke/non existent and goal keeper is inconsistently average.

Full backs are drunk at this point.

I don’t know how they will learn, we don’t even have a proper veteran in the squad for it.

Gabbia learned something from Valencia I guess

How much time does Romagnoli have on Lazio's contract.

For what it's worth - He is the closest to a veteran in Milan defense.

Also He is not doing too bad with Lazio, is he. At least better than his worst here?

Youd sign Romagnoli? Really? For a high line defense? Hes been way too slow 6 years ago let alone now.

In a Kjaer role. We need that.

We need a CB who could defend high line and one CB who can just plain defend. Plus he could pass long...probably no one except Maignan can do it in our team, if you get the irony.

Plus he went out because of bad timing, Injury, rise of Tomori and the mess created by raiola for Dormmamu.

He could have stayed in not so different situation. Agreed he was not greatest, but he had been here for long, grew as a captain and would have had a positive presence on dressing room.

With the speed clowns like Tomori, Walker, Theo ( provided he decides to run ), we can afford Romagnoli as a pillar to stabilize and dictate the locker room for couple of years.

Then obviously Tonali will take over.
