We went on a Dutch spending spree after the 3 champions hoping to replicate their success but it didn't work out, including Davids that disappointed but had a very good career after he left, at Juve but not for us. I would also add Reiziger, highly touted player that didn't work for us in his limited time at Milan. We had basically part-time starters like Savicevic, (the genius), who was world class, Serginho, Stam, even Boban didn't always start. Amazing talent all over the pitch.
