Bozo'd three times on a single post? I'm honored.

Anyway, I still find it incredible how unwilling some people are in admitting that it's absurd that Maldini can take all of the credit when things go right, but take none of the blame when things (did) go wrong.

Accountability needs to return to this club. As much as I love him, Maldini failed in this. The stooges who came after him also failed (even harder) in not taking accountability. Our players haven't been able to take accountability, either - Theo most of all, seemingly, despite this fact really hurting me because I love him as a player. Mike wants to complain about us ghosting him over his renewal when his brain dead goalkeeping helped us crash out of the CL against fucking Feyenoord.

I certainly personalize at times, but at the death, that has to give way and accountability must be had. It feels like Tare and Allegri may bring about a return to what we've been missing. If they don't, they can kick rocks, as well.
Make it

Yikes!
Imagine Theo being your favorite over Kaka, Seedorf, Stam, Crespo, Cafu, Ibra, Pato, Tomasson, Zambrotta, Janku, Ronaldinho etc.
Could never be me

I feel like people are completely bullshitting when they say this shit
Theo over Kaka? Fuck outta here

Yikes indeed. I guess some folks just have low standards

Theo was one of my current favourites....right up until the drinks break... as a vice captain he should be backing the new manager.

He was dead to me after the ucl exit.

He won't be missed

And the fact he's going to Saudi at this stage in his career and not a single top club wants him shows our management is right in getting rid of him. Horrible footballer who besides his pace is nothing special.

30M with 1 year left on his contract is a sweet deal.

1 down

1 to go

Furlani On Ibrahimovic's new role:

"Zlatan has never technically been part of the company's staff. There has been confusion about his role. Zlatan has been and remains a very important person in the context of the Milan project. His role is at the ownership level. If you go to the RedBird website you see Zlatan Ibrahimovic. His input is on the sporting, commercial and representation side. He is a person that we Milan fans love as a player who made us win, who brought us back to winning the Scudetto in 2022, after 11 years without winning. He played in Holland, Spain, England, France... so he has a wealth of skills and knowledge of the world of football that is very broad."

That's an ornate way to define mascot

Even if you make it 18, I think Pato is the last striker to really start consistently for a top level team at 18, he would have started for us at 17, but Italian rules meant he had to wait until he turned 18. Haaland went to Dortmund at 19, but the gap between Haaland at 17 and 19 was pretty huge.

I think it is harder to play at a young age in central positions, CB, CM, and ST than it is on the wings, like full-backs, wingers.

Endrick is a good shout, I didn't write it, but in my mind I thought of someone who consistently starts, but Endrick makes sense.

Maybe it's also harder for young strikers with far less teams playing with two strikers compared to just 10ish years ago?

I just think strikers are not only rarer these days, but I think they take more time to develop, in general.
I think people have crazy expectations on Camarda because we have been following him since he was 14, and he was billed to us as being the next phenom, savior of Italy, or face of the franchise for the next decade as Gerry would say.

Hundreds of goals at youth level, once in a generation talent, future ballon dor, etc. after all this I’d be extremely disappointed if he ends up being another Colombia or Petagna type player. It’s natural that the timelines are somewhat condensed for him vs just a regular up and coming striker.

As you said Pato was an anomaly and it’s a pity how that worked out… although if we are being honest, Milan of the mid 2010s probably sells him for €55m to the first bidder without negotiation

So key points from Furlani and Tare's interview:

  • - Modric is coming, and wanted to come to play for the scudetto
  • - Main priority signing right now is a midfielder
  • - A #9 striker will be signed who has characteristics like Giroud, he should be able to co-exist with Gimenez
  • - Reijnders will not be replaced directly with a like-for-like kinda player
  • - Midfield is the area that will be worked on the most. We need more quality there as that is clearly where we are lacking.
  • - Musah does not fit into a 3 man midfield. RLC is a player we are betting on for next season. No idea what about Adli, Pobega
  • - Young players will be loaned out for growth like Camarda
  • - Theo is leaving as he wanted to leave. Deal is not finalized and still being worked on
  • - Will sign both LB + RB that suit Allegri's system
  • - CB will be signed if one leaves (prolly Thiaw?)
  • - Attacking wingers will be signed if one leaves (Okafor + Chukwueze + Saelemaekers)
  • - Leao is important to the project and future, he was enthusiastic to know about how the team will be strengthened
  • - says Maignan will stay next year but does not discuss a renewal. this is indicative that he wants to leave & we are trying to convince him to stay.
  • - few ppl in football know and understand players like Moncada. he will be important for the sporting project.
  • - no clarity on ibra's role. furlani describes it the same way we've all been hearing and understanding. hopefully, he will be less involved in sporting decisions.
  • - allegri knew a lot about our squad's issues and problems, while has great experience of how the Milan club operates already and of italian football in general. this was key in choosing him and he was convinced in 48h by Furlani + Igli in Lugano
  • - Furlani said that he selecting a sporting director took time as it should, this is an important role and we need to get it right. He feels like Igli is the right choice going forward.
  • - Tare did say that there are some priority signings (midfield) to be made first, then the "rest we will see at the end of August"

Oh I dunno, because Serbs tried to genocide us twice in the last 2 centuries?:fp:
Sam is not just some ''clueless American'', a clueless person doesn't write walls of text nor do they repeat the same offense again in a subsequent post. The provocation on his part was clearly intentional.

That being said, if he is willing to apologize to me then I will forgive him.
this is why they close world news thread

i thought you were for anything goes??

my initial deductions from the interview

  • seems like first choice may have been Paratici and not Igli. I am glad we ended with Igli though
  • Allegri is who they wanted and the first choice of Furlani + Tare
  • why would Tare say Musah doesn't fit into a 3 man midfield without even a single training session, while he is trying to negotiate his exit with Napoli? i don't get why they're trying to push him out this hard and not accept that proposal we received from Napoli (if the proposal was indeed true)
  • i like that they recognize the problem is in midfield. i like how igli talks about raising the quality of midfield, starting with modric. for me it is very important that they have addressed this need for raising the quality in midfield. i'm interested to see who this priority midfield signing is going to be. problem is you've lost reijnders but got in 40 year old modric for a season or two.
  • also like that they want to bring in another striker with diff characteristics. i dont really know if a striker like Giroud is what we need though as these strikers have become obselete in today's football. you need them to be mobile too. someone like Osimhen would really add something to our team. he is lethal in the box and can hold the ball well, and can carry it too, just like what they stated they needed, but can do even more.
  • hope we extend with Maignan, we wont find a better GK out there that is a complete package like he is. Tare makes it seem like we are willing to see him leave on a free if we don't get the price we want.. and Maignan was not pushing for the exit
  • fullbacks are very very very important positions in today's football. losing Theo, one of the best LBs in world football, is a huge loss. we have to replace him wisely. We currently only have Alexis Jimenez + Emerson Royale. i feel these are key positions that must be brought in early for pre-season.
  • i wonder which are the signings that are priority, and which are the ones left for August

an Allegri interview is pending also, that would be important to understand what we can expect next season. i really hope someone asks him about his ideas of how he wants us to play, defensive or attacking, possession-based or counter attack based... and from the current management, is Allegri the one who has spent the most time in Milan and Milanello? or have Furlani or Moncada exceeded his time?

So I think I'm pretty inclusive and open minded, but... I speak with lots of straight girls about the fact that lots of lesbians go out their way to look like boys/men, then use dildos or strap ons or whatever to fuck their girlfriends... Surely that's like wanting a hamburger and settling for a Quorn meat free thing?

Also, when girls say they're lesbian but still sleep with guys now and again, you're fucking bi!!!

It's like being a lesbian opens doors and gives you some sort of edge to your otherwise pretty boring life?

Why is being bisexual not as acceptable?

Bisexual girls are the best, and usually don't look like weird beardless men that talk funny.

Oh and Stephanie is definitely a rug muncher... Who said she was cute the other day?

Maybe I'm ignorant because apparently mine are a bit bigger than average, but I never even gave it a thought beyond ''these shoes are one number too small''

The average shoe size of someone in Europe falls somewhere between size 43 and size 46 on the European scale,

Oof

Guess you only have a "these shoes are one number too small'' issue mostly at the women section

Out for a walk.
"Theo was never as good as Antonini that one time."

How do people wake up, brush their teeth, go to work, live a normal life thinking some of the most insane things ever thought by a person and his brain? Incredible. Some people really can't cope with loss unless they commit to delusions. It's sad.

Max didn't just win league titles...he won 4 doubles on the bounce and also reached 2 ucl finals.
Without the UCL trophy it's just another Juventus bottle job. I can't give him too many props for those 2 finals. Gotta win 1, without that, Allegri might as well been doing the Scottish double.

But but we reached a semi final lmao

I've never seen any fans highlight reaching the last 4 as much as the orphans.

Let alone fans of a top club that ranks second for most wins in said competition

Say what you want about the Americans

But they did the business with calabria and now theo

Yeah, good luck winning the financial Scudetto while comfortably sitting in 8th place. Sure, Maldini let players go for free, but at least he brought the real one. Keep stanning these Americunt owners, really fits the level you’re at.

Reaching the semi with this team was a miracle, something this management can only dream of. Don’t act all high and mighty when you’re absolute trash compared to Maldini’s Milan. If we hadn’t screwed it all up, we could’ve built on that and gone even further.

Our last good LB was probably Janku. Since that, we have seen our LB being filled with the likes of Antonini, Antonelli, Mesbah, Constant, Urby, RicRod who all failed to be admired. Theo literally broke that curse. Was Top 3 most important player in our Scudetto winning season. Even scored some of the most important and beautiful goals. Sure his trajectory dipped dramatically and last season he was shit. But people need to stop denying how awesome he was prior to that, what more to make such blatant, shameful, and absolutely false statement. Just say thank you and move on.
