In other news, Napoli is building a powerhouse with the additions of the De Bruyne, now close to Nunez, (even though they have Lukaku), and Noa Lang, after their first choice, Ndoye, was valued at 60 millions by Bologna that is objectively too high a price. Also involved with CB Beukema.

modric isnt a CDM, everyone thinks his position is like pirlo but he isnt.

hes a deep-lying mediano. always had the likes of casemiro, xabi alonso next to him
He can play there and other positions no problem, just like Xavi and other players like him
Pirlo could also play in the left and did so at times very well under Allegri(both at Milan and at Juve) but he bitched about it due to his ego

I think after the pressure Xhaka and his Dad doing to Leverkusen that he will come and how its look, Ricci. I dont think we will get Jashari/Gurrera too? Maybe RLC realy will play a bigger role after the comments from Tare.
Jashari not coming is going to hurt so badly.
I love Adli - but I think he'll have to be sacrificed in order to get him, I guess.

If we somehow got Jashari-Xhaka-Fofana as the starting 3. That overpowers everyone. The energy, strength and even passing quality in that 3 is very good. They're all close to being complete midfielders. Decent passers, a lot of energy, can get into the box, good long range shots..Fofana is going to look a lot better in a 3 man midfield. Rather than a 1 man midfield. Reijnders wasn't capable of playing in a 2.. Fofana was asked to do too much and without any breaks last season.

Well he's 140 yo and I can only see him as a regista in 433 formation.

Fofana-Ricci-Xhaka is very ugly, I really don't think that we will get both of them. :o

They are actually spending, which I guess was promised to Conte to get him to stay.

Beukema seems strong, Ndoye was causing us a lot of issues in the Coppa Italia final. I don’t know about Nunez, having watched him at Liverpool the guy manages to miss A LOT of easy chances. If that’s where they splash most of their money, it is a massive gamble.

Lang has always been very talented but was (is?) a head case. It will be interesting to see how he does under Conte due to their personalities.

I'm massively for bringing Italians in, so I'll be patient with Ricci.
His stats last season didnt impress me. Maybe it the was job he was asked to do, but he only did one thing well, and everything else really badly.
Jashari - Fofana - Modric - Adli - Ricci - RLC/Pobega

If we start the season with 6 midfielders and this is the 6 - I'm content. I'm desperate to keep hold of Adli. I'm fine with both RLC/Pobega leaving too and getting in a younger player. Preferably Ringo Meerveld :D Or Fazzini - who is probably heading to Fiorentina. Both are technical players, who look great in the no 10 role.
Fazzini is doing his physical for the viola today, according to TMW. Ricci had a better season in 23/24 than the last one, plays basically on a line with the CBs, too defensively probably by coaches' orders. Does better with Italy where he's given more freedom of movement and I think will also do better under Allegri. Rovella was another option but Lolito asks 50 millions for him.

Bro, stop moving goalposts

You went into hysteria regarding this management buying another striker which means taking Gimenez out (what?), then when that got disproved, yelled at management for:

"buying another giroud esque #9" for 20-30m when we have so many gaps in the squad

When the person you referred to was bought for.. 4m euro

Theo is gone, and it's okay. Life moves on. Management cannot be blamed for everything.
Speaking of moving goal posts - are you saying that the #9 we are seeking will cost us 4 million?

Yes or no? :monto:

dont want to lose a player again against United. They just throw around money very year without performing for years. Insane. The players they get, get destroyed with their potential - useless.

You’d hope that players can see what a toxic situation that club now is, complete dumpster fire. But money talks.

So, the guy we bought for 12m euros, and was loaned after a year and will possibly get sold (not on our coffers until January 26' at least),
is somehow a worse financial deal than Origi which cost the club 20m in total and had no more than 10 appearances in our shirt
shit wasted more on Morata alone compared to Origi. And I can easily name 4-5 players like Morata.
Logical all in all
I will bookmark this and quote you every time our new LB sucks dick and our hopes for CL are shattered.
(shouldn't take longer than Ocotober) :proud:
Can I bookmark and quote you for every goal Morata's replacement scores for us, all the while on a plusvalenza compared to the Origi deal?

Knowing this management, shouldn't take longer than october

As I'm not Albanian/hobbiton by nationality, what clue do I have?

Do I say a giroud esque striker will come in beneath the 25m quote you freaked out about?

Yes

Arrogant, attitude issues and lack of discipline. Also was fined/punished for partaking in some anti-Semitic chants when he was playing in Belgium I believe. Talented but headcase was how he was known, I think he’s been more focused at PSV…

I read the Lang would have come in January but his club refused the offer which angered the player. Under Conte will have to behave if he wants to play.
They also have Neres that can play on both wings and are looking for a possible replacement for Politano. With the sales of Kvara and soon Osimhen Napoli has plenty of money to invest for the mercato. They will no doubt be in the race for the scudetto, imo.

I agree, they are the clear favourite although I believe Inter are favoured currently by the bookmakers.

I think the losses Inter suffered will carry over into next season, I wonder how they will respond.

reasonable figures

can't do much wrong with this i guess
Ricci to me smells like a tonali esque deal

Coming from an inferior team, looking to make the next step in his career, with decent and reliable stats from past seasons, and will profess his love for Milan since an early age once he arrives (if he hasn't already, I don't follow)

We need those hungry and motivated players, especially when they'll have a Modric with them on the field and an allegri with them off field.
Just hope the toxicity of the management/our 'stars' won't trickle down and it be a proper balancing act.

Cautious hopium for this one.

So many “insiders/journalists” stated that Allegri and Tare did not want Ricci, then they all scramble to retweet Matteo or Fab once the deal appears out of nowhere. Italian “media” are ridiculous.

I am glad that the new management realized that our midfield was fucking terrible. Fixing those issues will also help the defense immensely. So many times it felt as if teams were just walking through our mid and the defense was immediately under pressure.
