He just can't stay injury free, if they've worked out how to do this now it's worth a punt one more season on a rotation. Most people who know ball can see it. He isn't weak he doesn't get bullied, has good quick feet and can shoot well. His passing ability is there too just needs to be unlocked.

He could be a la masia product for all I care. Regarding coaches using him, you seem to forget how little conc used him, even when rlc was not injured, so I wouldn't jump to generalizations.

The things you've mentioned might exist in theory, in reality and based on his stats & match performance, he is hardly those attributes you assign him.

Good as a sub (but not worth the salary for relative output), but pinning a starting midfielder role on him when the past two years showed otherwise?

He is what he is at this point imo but I've always said he's a useful player especially in a 3 man midfield

If Lazio makes a good offer for him sure otherwise he's a fine squad player. Issue has forever been health

We have an incentive to not sell our players before July 1st, with the exception being Reijnders since they wanted him before the CWC. Once we sell Musah, Theo and probably Emerson etc the funds will unlock a lot of deals, which I assume we already have agreed. Also tax incentives benefit us not adding more revenue for this year, and we can sign players for the max contract length only after July 1st. Of course we can agree everything, maybe even sign some contracts pending July 1st, but we won’t publicly announce anything and make official moves until after that date.
