Two seasons... it was 2 straight seasons of mid-table finishes. And it wasn't even down to injuries, so you can imagine how bad things were.

Sometimes management just gets shit wrong, even with deep pockets and legendary players.
And players and coaches get fucking burned out too.

Look at the Dodgers this year in baseball. World Series champions, best roster in baseball everyone said coming into the season, and they are struggling against some of the worst teams in the league.

Galliani can rightly be criticized heavily for his handling of Milan beginning in the 2005-2007 time period through the end of his tenure, basically he sucked when Berlusconi turned off the money machine, but the he period before then he was a god and we wouldn’t all be Milan fans if it wasn’t for him most likely.

You mean Galliani with money competing for Scudetto like in these seasons?

This wasn't even Banter Era by the way.
The team had the likes of Maldini, Costacurta, Desailly, George Weah, Boban, Savicevic, Albertini, Baresi, Baggio, Leonardo, etc.
He hired the best players in the world, they have won the UCL at the very young age, then it didn't work out, Furlani-Moncada hired the most unknown players even if they have a deep pocket

As much as I’d love to say that, we haven’t been elite since 2012

Unreal stinkers from Yamal and Williams
Needs to be said that our defence put up a much better performance against Yamal than merda. A guy I haven’t heard of stopped him at least 6-7 times while Dimarco looked like a cone
P.S. Rodri is horrific

We are the club with less percentage of Italian players,

Guys... let's be more like inter.

Fewer Italians the better imo. Nothing short of an embarrassment over the last 2 decades.

Missed world cups

Embarrassing defeats in major finals.

Yet Milan are made to feel guilty for not picking from this worthless generation.

Viva la France 🇫🇷 ♥️

I think actually Italy see in pretty solid shape but lacking in star power… besides Donnarumma and maybe Barella, I can’t say anyone else is world class
I think Bastoni comes close, we also have some decent young prospects. Many Italian players are merely good or average but they don't all suck.

Gattuso has called Orsolini and Zaccagni, decent players ignored by Spalletti, and the Bologna winger could have been very useful for us over Chuck and lots cheaper but we never considered him because he's not fancy but instead gets the job done with goals and assists.

Looks like Rino is going to go 4-3-3 with Dollar-Di Lorenzo-Gatti-Bastoni-Barella-Locatelli-Tonali-Orsolini or Politano-Kean-Zaccagni. Not great but should be enough to beat Estonia and Israel. Norway is far ahead so they will win the group so Italy will be in the playoffs with other second place teams and a couple of thirds.

It will depend on the draw whether we make it or not but it would be a huge disgrace if we fail once more to partecipate in the World Cup. Splletti was a disaster as Italy's coach and Gazzetta reports how players were unhappy with the coach and his tactics.

We should have kept our Italian core and bought more Italians. With Allegri we would have surely won Scudetto with:

Donnarumma
Calabria Gabbia Romagnoli Bartesaghi
Tonali Ricci Cristante
Chiesa Cutrone D. Maldini

Those bums with 4 Italians made the final of the Champions' League, we with our foreigners finished 8th and are out of Europe. I don't think you have a good argument just because Inter was demolished in one match after they beat Bayern and Barca to go that far.

From this I could never understand if Allegri was surprisingly good or if Gabriel was absolutely abysmal.

Now, I know Allegri was a former Serie A attacking mid but when you watch training videos even higher quality players don't seem to hit them like this, but I also know Gabriel was in Serie A for a few years.

I like to think Allegri was just the best manager at still playing around.

I was watching some old gazzetta football italia clips from the 90s. Allegro was in atleast one of them scoring a goal from open play or taking a pen. Dude was skinny af but had a decent strike on him.

I cracked up when I seen that clip

Per MilanNews the kid Odugo said that he was shocked that Milan chose him, never expected it and hopes to learn from the veterans. Basically admitting that he's not even close to being ready and probably belongs with Fututo.

Honestly this was the greatest football show on earth.

We got full weekly coverage of all games. Alongside all the juicy gossip and transfer news.

And it was all free on UK tv.

Best show ever. Nothing comes close to it. And the fact when it first aired Milan were on all the time as we won 4 of the first 5 titles.

Good times.

Those bums embarrassed Italy by losing 5-0 in a major final.

So yeah give me more French Players over Italians.

Fewer Italians the better for an international club like Milan.

If you want to cheer on for your fellow citizens, juve are a good club to follow.
