Our last acquisition, not counting the French unknown, took place on July 7th with Gila so we're not just in pause mode but it's a complete stop.
I did a deep dive of these new directors with invented titles and learned that first of all they're not new to the club, both in their seventh years at Milan. Almstad director of player trading, Gardiner of football intelligence, whatever that means.
Neither have experience in transfer market, bought, sold, or scouted a player, both numbers and algorithm men. Doubt if they can evaluate a player's worth by watching them play while the final decision-maker knows very little of the sport.
The only football guy is Amorin that can suggest profiles that he likes but is impeded by the owner's sell first policy. From the outside all seems peachy, everyone gets along, and the atmosphere seems peaceful.
But how long will Amorin's patience last? Has been positive in every aspect, praised every player, even though he must know that some of them suck.
So, we had a renewal, a changing of the guards, but not with new people that have credibility, instead just re-cycled returnees that had less important tasks in the organization. As a fan I hope it all works to perfection despite my doubts because I'm tired of losing and want to win again.
