Slight hot take: De Winter is imo better for the CCB role than the RCB role. He is decently agile for his size but I feel for RCB it could be more ideally and he isn´t that aggressive which lends itself more to the central role. CCB is often the second in line and not committing too aggressively can be a feature there.

I feel he is a bit small still. Build wise.
He needs to pack on more mass.

Out of all our current players, KDW might just be the best fit for the CCB position... He can be an outright defender who has all the physical tools to hold the block in front of the keeper and dominate in the air. As for the mistakes, he just needs to get used to dealing with any remotely dangerous situation by simply clearing his lines, even if that means booting the ball into the stands.

If we take this competition seriously (and start playing good football), there are no more than 3-4 teams that could be a problem. The rest should be beaten with 60% of the starters.
The fact that there are no longer teams dropping out of CL is a huge advantage.

Now we try again, but again, at the very least we have been growing the brand and revenues the past 5 years so that is good.

I still think the ultimate goal of getting back can not happen without a director of football with good long term vision. I was excited about the possibility of Milan hiring Krösche but alas, it didn't happen.

That would honestly be a perfect end to the mercato. Sell Pervis. Get Mazraoui. Get a CCB.

CM and CF only if we loan Comotto and Camarda.

CM would actually be needed if Rabiot stays primarily at RAM, and we're not counting on Ricci, Fofana, Bondo as it seems.

One worker/destroyer profile (Hojbjerg, Musah) + a creative midfielder (Modric/Jashari/Comotto) and we're set. Jashari lacks Modric's qualities, but he's been very good at pressing, something not to underestimate.

I think Jashari will get plenty of playing time since Luka has to be managed responsibly, even Comotto should get his amount of minutes as it is long season on three fronts.

Also, I'm not comfortable going with 2 strikers through the season, unless Amorim sees Pulisic or someone from AM as makeshift striker in case of emergency, which I doubt.

I would keep both Comotto and Camarda, they'll get their chances and minutes.
