Slight hot take: De Winter is imo better for the CCB role than the RCB role. He is decently agile for his size but I feel for RCB it could be more ideally and he isn´t that aggressive which lends itself more to the central role. CCB is often the second in line and not committing too aggressively can be a feature there.
I feel he is a bit small still. Build wise.
He needs to pack on more mass.

Agreed. Kid is only 18 though? However old he is dint check. But yea there is potential clearly.

We should sell sale and id a good offer comes for Chuck even him and get a proper wing back/AM.

I would also sell
Pulisic but I guess we need him for the brand value.

Sell Musah too while he is performing. We can do so much better.
We can't sell everyone one day after the first match.

Estupi defending is a disaster waiting to happen.
Good teams will punish him easily.

Besides his brainfarts, the way he was outpaced on a Torino counter yesterday was pretty much embarrassing.
and by a white guy to boot.

Out of all our current players, KDW might just be the best fit for the CCB position... He can be an outright defender who has all the physical tools to hold the block in front of the keeper and dominate in the air. As for the mistakes, he just needs to get used to dealing with any remotely dangerous situation by simply clearing his lines, even if that means booting the ball into the stands.

Jube-AC final for Europa League trophee, make it happen
If we take this competition seriously (and start playing good football), there are no more than 3-4 teams that could be a problem. The rest should be beaten with 60% of the starters.
The fact that there are no longer teams dropping out of CL is a huge advantage.

Everybody is happy today which is refreshing to see. A good win can do wonders for the morale and I actually slept very well last night because of it.

Against Venezia I want to see Ramos score to get him going, also curious to see what Moreira offers as I've never watched him play before. There's not much time left for the mercato and we need a couple of additions.

If Rabiot moves closer to goal, we need to add a capable CM, and a CCB with good feet like Gila.

Ahem, ahem. He's actually quite fast.
Was it Pedersen? One of your paesanos that looked very good. (paesano as in fellow countryman).

Being in bed with The Athletic is great business for us (Horncastle set next to Gerry last night), and could prove beneficial in terms of the US market visibility.

Gerald's PR abilities are impressive, no wonder that's his field.

We are still the fastest growing football brand or some shit despite no sporting results.

I've been saying for a fucking decade that Milan is a sleeping dragon.
As soon as we have a consecutive string of good summers, there's no reason Milan shouldn't be among the top, at the very least much bigger than Inter/Juve instead of hovering around the same level.

It felt like Elliott was taking us there with Maldini, after which Redbird burnt it down.
Now we try again, but again, at the very least we have been growing the brand and revenues the past 5 years so that is good.

I still think the ultimate goal of getting back can not happen without a director of football with good long term vision. I was excited about the possibility of Milan hiring Krösche but alas, it didn't happen.

I don't think we getting Dias. He would be great but we not getting him. Don't see City letting go
Wishful thinking from my side I guess. But you get the profile.

Similar interesting names on top of my mind:

That would honestly be a perfect end to the mercato. Sell Pervis. Get Mazraoui. Get a CCB.

CM and CF only if we loan Comotto and Camarda.
CM would actually be needed if Rabiot stays primarily at RAM, and we're not counting on Ricci, Fofana, Bondo as it seems.

One worker/destroyer profile (Hojbjerg, Musah) + a creative midfielder (Modric/Jashari/Comotto) and we're set. Jashari lacks Modric's qualities, but he's been very good at pressing, something not to underestimate.

I think Jashari will get plenty of playing time since Luka has to be managed responsibly, even Comotto should get his amount of minutes as it is long season on three fronts.

Also, I'm not comfortable going with 2 strikers through the season, unless Amorim sees Pulisic or someone from AM as makeshift striker in case of emergency, which I doubt.

I would keep both Comotto and Camarda, they'll get their chances and minutes.

IN: CCD (Dias, Min, Tapsoba, Hancko kind of profile), Hojbjerg, Mazraoui and Zirkzee (loan)
OUT: Tomori, Fofana, Ricci (loan w option), Estupinan (?), Bondo, Nkunku (loan w option), Leao (?)

That move surprised the hell out of me, didn't expect it at all, but if it failed we'd be here lambasting him instead of praising him. I think Musah was hurt by the few minutes given him at Atalanta and has worked extra hard to improve his play. Sometimes it's a matter of pride and hope he keeps it up.

But that's exactly the point I was trying to make. Sometimes the difference in football is a risk that either pays off or doesn't. Take Allegri and Amorim as representatives of two completely different schools: one sees primarily what there is to lose by taking that risk, the other sees what there is to gain. Allegri's philosophy makes perfect sense in its own way: minimise risks, concede as little as possible and your chances of losing decrease. Amorim's approach is different. He doesn't just want to avoid losing, he wants to actively win – and to maximise your chances of doing that, you sometimes have to expose yourself.

Musah's turn is a perfect example. It could've gone horribly wrong. Instead it eliminated two players and helped create the goal. There's obviously a balance to be found – we've probably experienced both extremes over the last two years – but almost every great modern team lives somewhere within that balance. City, PSG and Bayern don't win because they eliminate risk from football. They win because they understand when and how to take it.

And that's why I've always said this transition will take time. We're not just changing formations, we're trying to change an entire mentality after a year of having safety drilled into these players. That's also why yesterday surprised me so much. I expected Amorim's pressing to take months before looking somewhat coordinated, yet already against United and especially yesterday we moved almost like a swarm. Players took risks, spaces inevitably opened and others worked their asses off to cover them. That's the trust you need to build game by game and win by win: "I'm allowed to take this risk because if it fails, the guy behind me will fucking run for me."

At Napoli, Allegri inherits a team drilled by Conte in principles much closer to his own, so I don't expect him to fail there at all. But I still believe the long-term ceiling of what we're trying to build is considerably higher. We might have a Roma- or Como-esque season with setbacks along the way, but Amorim can potentially unlock qualities in players and in this team that simply weren't being exploited before. When those setbacks inevitably come, that's when we'll need to remember what we're building instead of joining the Italian media in throwing Amorim, the players or the management under the bus at the first opportunity. We can demand the missing pieces – I still think this team desperately needs another CB and that Estupinan isn't even good enough as back-up IMO – while also having the patience to protect a project that was never going to be completed in one fucking pre-season.

But but but just imagine a world where we have Cisse and Liberali, and no RLC, because we didn't continually "see something in RLC"...

No RLC, but 2 club trained Milanista developing well in the side...
I still have hope that a coach will unlock LC deeper & Barte LCD
But honestly, its insane not to try it.
