Barca talents work their ass of and don´t think that they are the second coming of Pele.

99% why Pato is playing like shit and not improving it´s his fault. He doesn´t train enough and be it drugs, alcohol or just partying this is no way to take care for your body. No wonder he gets injured week in week out.

The easiest thing is to blame others. Allegri is doing the best possible thing. For fuck sake bench his ass and if it doesn´t help sell him the first second of the first day of summer transfer market.

Imagine this team being Pato dependent :fp:

Great point! And then people are complaining that we're Ibra dependent.. At least he's scoring and creating chances for us, and is top goalscorer ATM with Di Natale.

Just two things since they are repeated quite often..

Leonardo offering "only" 28m + 7m in bonuses doesn`t reflect what he thinks of him, as at the same time he was offering a 7m per year wage to Pato so you can throw that argument out of the picture.

Also, Pato`s injuries have started right after he bulked up, and that was the brilliant plan made by MilanLab to ensure he can get better. It obviously hadn`t been thought-out well, and it`s not a coincidence that the injuries have started at that time. He could`ve developed in a different way, didn`t have to bulk up all that much, so it`s not like they had no choice.
If he was simply made out of glass, why didn`t these injuries happen in the first two years he was with us? He used to sprint a lot faster and never had problems..

Sure. And Barca would definitely ship out a young "talent" if he after five years, age 22 hadn't improved. Bojan is younger than Pato, he was shipped away after four years in the A squad.

Pato has done way better than Bojan. Fuck there is not even an existing comparison, what a moron.

Unless we see something different from him after he comes back, I think the dream of Pato turning into WC can be considered over.

Pato is a nice guy, he's not an evil monster. But the thing is I guess he is not that happy about being a professional footballer, and Milan didn't help him with it either, and now we have a talented yet unfocused and confused guy on our hand.

Unless Pato comes to the conclusion that he needs to change and actually become a different personality, i don't see this working.

It's of course really sad to say these things, I never gave up on his potential and even didn't want him sold this winter, but right now I also believe that he needs a resurrection.

We have two ways: Sell him asap so we can gain some money.

Or, keep him and bench him and make him scratch and claw for his spot.

However, I think if he was the hard working type, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. I guess a move to PSG can be the best for him, since Carletto may probably be the best guy to take care of him and help him grow and we also don't lose money and time.

But if he stays due to whatever reason, we can just blindly trust him. It still hurts me remembering him during the last derby. I could see someone who knows he's good and wants to be good but at the same time he lacks a certain X-factor which in his case seems to be not know ho to be a professional.

Who's there to blame? It actually doesn't matter. Berlu and his ways of course hasn't been an aid. Another reason could be the fact that he was kinda pushed into stardom and was too young to actually know how to handle it. It's not his fault that much, people are different. In Italy they don't treat you like kids, they think of you as a man even if you're only 19, It's not like Barca when everyone behave like it's a school. All talented footballers at the age of 17 don't turn out to be the same in future because they are different human beings.

I hope his situation becomes more clear. it's kinda obvious that certain people in the team are not happy with him, and at the same Time Berlu kinda protects him and that is gonna make the situation much worse. We need for coaches, Berlu, G and even people like Ibra to sit around a table and discuss the situation and make things 100% clear between themselves. It's annoying to see Pato and Ibra still not being able to communicate well on the pitch and It's also sad too see that maybe Allegri doesn't want to use him but Berlu makes him to do so. I hope we get rid of this crisis the best way we can.

Looks like tevez might still come, if he comes Pato imight be gone in the summer, hopefully not.

Maybe they should keep him on the bench and compete with el shaaraway, He doesn't know how to play with a star like ibrah, a star that isn't on a down turn (kaka, ronaldinho, ronaldo). He keeps being on the last shoulder like the attack is gonna end with him. He's used to a different milan, now with noce/aquil/boa/roby/ibrah the formibility is up, and his needs to go up to.

Still not worth selling b4 25, everyone has a bad season.

I do believe he has improved in 2 things (better heading technique and more goal sense, for ex. the goal he made vs Novara, at 18 he failed it vs Atalanta), it is not that he has regressed but that he hasn't improved 1 bit in anything else, and those 2 things he has improved well its almost basic requirement that he would've improved in something.

I still see the same erratic player from the U-20 WC in 2007, the same non smart tactical player from the 08 Olympics, the same inconsistent player under Carlo...with the added minus that at least back when he was 18-20 you could see how fired up he came on the pitch even when he sucked (which in the past 2 years is something we have just seen for a 2 months period, and mostly in 2-3 games in that 2 months period, after the derby even if he kept scoring you could see the "everything is cool now don't have to put much into it" attitude).

Seriously, when he was left out of the 2010 WC, it was all Dunga's fault, when Pippo was starting ahead of him with Carlo, it was all Carlo's and Pippo's fault, now it's Ibra's and Allegri's, it's the lack of midfield, his injuries are all Milan Lab's fault, it's never him...at one point you guys have to realize IT IS HIM, his poor physical condition, his consistent tactical errors, his poor form in general, his stalled improvement it is him.

It is pretty telling when the whole team is starting to get tired of him (case in point look at Ambro's and Allegri's reaction when he left the field directly to the dressing rooms in Coppa Italia), and when his GM that has protected him was willing to sell him for 28 mil + 7 in bonus (and that was the offer from "his mentors", they pretty much know that's his worth).

I can see the potential, I still believe he can let it out, but it won't happen in here, he needs to go to another place, a place where he won't be excused for everything and won't be given special treatment to start a derby by the owner (/dad in law). He needs to go to a place where he realizes not everything will be handed to him on silver platter, he needs to get to a place where someone will light fire up his ass so that he wakes up and fullfills that potential. Milan could've still be the place a year ago, even after the season was over, but we're back at square one (for the 4th season in a row!) with him this season, so no it really isn't here where he'll fullfill it.

One of the best well written posts ive read here in a while!
Alot of ppl just want him out for some reasons they dont even know, but this post really collect the pieces

The problem is that Milan wants to still play him, and dont bench him to keep his value. Cause if we gonna sell him, we expect to get alot for him because he is still milans future in our eyes. So the problem is what should we do? should we have sold him to PSG? i dont know

I think that he needs somebody like Mourinho, like he fixed benzema! benched his ass at the beginning..

Agree

Mou, Capello, Fergie but hell look at Wenger and all the nursing of Van Persie.

Love how Fergie dealt with Welbeck, he showed promise but as soon as he did the Cantona celebration, bench, loaned him out and came back the next year a near star.

But as Senatore says those type of coaches wouldnt last long at Milan because of management. Can Allegri navigate the landmines and Pato ever wake up? Unlike most I think he has a year or two.

He didnt. It was allegri himself who told him 2 do it.........

Wait what? Whats this talk about him doing drugs?

Do you mean his coke addiction which lead to rehab and was covered up by the club as an "undisclosed injury".

Or do you mean something else?

You really should put a source to that or some link or just say he is lazy or likes partying.

Still you guys give Cassano a pass like he is immaculate and his only obsession was food:rolleyes: and Ibra doesnt have an anger management issue :o

Of course not. But just like Pato, Cassano has overcome such things.
Unlike Pato, he's been performing wonders on the field, works well with Ibra and the rest, and should have a fine future in Milan if he recovers.

You mean those two and a half months

I do hope he recovers and can be a game changer though, that remains to be seen against top clubs. Keep my spot on that bandwagon warm.

Yeah but it's just so unfounded.

It's like me saying "Nesta didn't dangerously injure his back, he merely got caught with Anabolic Steroids and was banned for 9 months. The time fits. Check 'em :o"

Sure, it may be true....

But Wegerup is such a lapdog that I wouldn't be surprised if she merely fashioned her own news to support Ibra's cause.

Wegerup? She's got nothing to do with this. Many people know of this, also here, with totally different sources. No one dares mentioning it though. So who better than the most beloved amongst Pato fanboys to do it first?

Anyway, it's not a huge deal. I'm sure most players in Milan have been to a party or two. But it shows some more how much this club has done to polish and protect this guy.

No.

SM84 said it, and knowing how you have both begun to fondle each other's testicles, I wouldn't be surprised if you were feeding him the information.

Yes, of course, Kuja.

And it's all made up only to hurt Pato. A mission paid for by Ibra through a number of middle men and companies in the Caymans and Jersey so the funds can't be traced.

 I think it's much more likely the injury was either of an embarrassing nature, like some sort of venereal disease, or a broken finger, or something that would reflect negativly on Pato and Milan.

Cocaine? Is there one credible report on that? Is there even a pseudo-report on it? Something written down in any media apart from this forum? If not, that shouldn't even be debated to be honest. If you can't provide a credible source, or at least some sort of backstory, that should be met with ridicule.

I`m not sure when was the last time (if ever) that I saw people write such incredibly ridiculous stuff, without even a hint from the media, not even a slightest rumour on the back-page of a fucking local newspaper. Trolling this hard should warrant a ban

If you don`t think media all over Italy (and then Europe too) would be filled with news about Pato doing drugs if he was, you don`t just hate the guy, you`ve reached an unprecedented idiocy levels.

I agree it's a friggin ******ed discussion, but credible newspapers would never write something like that without proper evidence. To accuse an athlete of doing drugs without rocksolid facts backing it up is such a clear case of defamation or libel that it would lead to a huge lawsuit, damages, and a giant loss of credibility. It would most likely ruin the paper.

If he had to go through any kind of rehab, it would`ve meant he had a rather serious problem with it, and that wouldn`t go by unnoticed..

And even if there were no evidence of such things, there would be numerous reports everywhere (maybe not the most credible papers, but there would be).

When a guy like Berlusconi gets torn apart in the media with all those scandals, no reason to think Pato would not be..

Berlusconi owns Italian media.

Anyway, again, it's not a huge deal. Do you have any idea of how wide spread coke is amongst top athletes?

Are you kidding? The guy takes the government jet to transport prostitutes to a party and it's barely mentioned in media. Are you kidding?

It was Italy's economy that brought Berlu down, not drugs or hoes.

Anyway, I'm leaving that discussion. Believe what you want.
For me it's not a big deal except that it shows the club really has worked it's ass off for this guy.
But fanboys still say it's someone else's fault he's not performing.
And for the record: this is history. I'm sure he has no such problems now.

Pretty much.

How come Pato went to rehab for like a month for a cocaine addiction, and yet, nobody knew anything until you started saying it a couple of days ago...

Did the Statute of Limitations just run out on it? Does it have to be said? Did Galliani finally stop saying go away and caved into your incessant questions?

No.

This forum is the only place it has been said. Not on Twitter, not on other forums, not on Facebook, not on rumour mill sites. Not anywhere.

And yet, some Zlatan fanboy(We're seemingly amicable atm, but it's not like it's false) is the first person to say it, with his rock-solid sources(aka Jennifer Wegerup's column in Aftonbladet) and then it's parroted by the Jay-Z of the forum. Someone so desperate to hold onto a fad he suddenly has sources... sources which have only just materialised.

Why is it such a surprise that footballers does cocaine? (I'm not saying all do it but come on). No, most of the time it isn't reported, unless the team is completely oblivious to it, and the player gets caught in a doping test, most clubs either hide it through injuries to try to avoid their players getting caught by the media, or they find other cleansing methods/keeping the player in the stands for a few weeks till you can feel safe that he's cleaned...

ffs, Pato doing it would certainly not be the first case of a Milan player (outside the usual suspects) I've heard. In fact, I do remember reading various people reporting that on Pato in italian forums 2 years ago, around the time he got divorced (due to partying every night mostly)...And really it isn't much of a surprise when a famous 20 year old is presented with the possibility to do it specially when he's hanging out with the wrong friendships...So I really don't find it surprising or anything.

Come on guys, I'm sure all of you have been at one point or another in the same bar/club as famous athletes (or "athletes") from your country and you've seen them doing dodgy stuff which never comes out to surface and mostly it doesn't unless its obvious it has harmed the player/team enviroment. Journalists could report it but at the same time, most players (specially from top clubs) know who the journalists are, teams know how to deal it with journalists too (pr/deals not really something unusual in the football world among top clubs).
