excuse me? You ever played a sport.

This kid picks up such minor injuries, that rule him out far longer than anyone else.

Specialists across the globe have said their are no problems with him. At some point you have to point a finger at him. It's frustrating as hell.

-

All I know is I've seen a lot of players play hurt, it's quite common, but the slightest blowing of the wind rules him out, ala aquilani

Problem is you make it sound like Pato is responsible for the injuries. As though he's doing something wrong that causes him to be injured which isn't the case.

Ofcourse its not Pato's fault, what was he thinking?

It was obviously the grass' fault.

Actually there's a great number of professional athletes that blame the injuries on Pato's running style...

He is saying if he wants to succeed he will find a way to play through these injuries.

That being said I see many of these pro players drop like flies and dont run off some of these injuries.

I dont know, its just sad, reminds me of Michael Owen - talented career filled with goals just robbed from him and the fans

I'm not saying he's responsible for injuries, I'm saying it seems he's quite soft in terms of playing thru pain.

Everyone plays hurt to a degree over season. It's impossible not to. Physical game, you will get bruises. Zlatan for ex. had major bruises/knocks. Cristiano Ronaldo too....

Actually there's a great number of professional athletes that blame Pato's running style...

That's a strong possibility. Though just as much down to warm up.

Another reason i think he doesn't get hurt in south america is humidity v. cold air in italy. Silly as that seems, it's easier to pull stuff in weather than humid climates

you're going to have to remind me. But Owen had some major injuries. Like knee/ligament tears, no?

Pato's never had a major injury (like broken bone, torn ligament), has he?

It'd be a completely different story if he had something like Rossi for ex.

it's so hard not to look at him as a pussy.

So soft. All his injuries are 'thigh strains'. No doctor finds anything really wrong. It's not like he messed up a knee, ankle or bone...

I'm really reaching the end of the rope with this.

you cant possibly be saying that a pulled thigh muscle is a thing you can play through. this is every injury prone players nightmare. Ronaldo, Robben, Messi before they fixed him with whatever lab rat potion etc.

Muscle pull is the most annoying injury that exists.

but he didn't pull his thigh muscle here. Strain isn't a pull...unless my translation is wrong...

yeah, ronaldo also tore his knee up in 5 different ways and probably doesn't have a single ligament left.

same with robben (lesser extent)

I guess best way to do this, is find a list of all the injuries last 2 years. Cause far too many of them have been 'bruises' and nothings

@ Senatore - I wasnt comparing their injuries though Owen did have hamstring issues iirc before his major injuries but the impact that those injuries caused to their careers.

Owen had a good run before his injuries got him but never was allowed to hit his prime.

If I remember well then there was an article circulating before the olympics that claimed doctors had to realign Pato's abductor muscles. If that was the case, then it's quite simply a naturally occurring problem that shouldn't be blamed on anyone. It's similar then to people with walk with the feet deviating outwards.

Pulling or straining a thigh muscle, hamstring, its all the same. its the most common muscle injury. And you cant play through it. your idea is completely ridiculous.

1. His running style does affect him getting this slight injuries, the way he accelerates has always been different to what you normally see...

2. People have to stop saying "Hulk like" he looks llike any normal footballer would look. If he doesn't have the same body as he did when he was 18-19 its simple, he's not a teen anymore (how many here in their mid-late 20's have the same body as when you were 18-19?), even more obvious when you're trainning daily, and instead of growing tall, muscles are starting to come out.

3. Without trying to overreact (since there's no news on how long this injury will last, though you know, a 2 week injury with this guy has turned into 3 months), he is looking more and more like Aquilani in terms of getting out as soon as he feels the smallest pain on earth. Really guys, remember how everyone criticized our doctor cause he had no idea what Pato had a few months ago....could it cause...wait a minute...cause there's really NOTHING on him, it's all in his head? "I felt pain so I don't want to train anymore". I dunno if maybe past injuries have done a number of him mentally or if he's just pussying, whatever it is...he has to grow it. This is his year to take responsability not fly away from it the minute he feels some small pain (which maybe is complete overreaction, maybe he just felt some pain out for tomorrow back on friday, but this is the year where he has to become a man and step it up).

Kind of good that this is happening before the end of transfer window.

Milan took for granted that he was fit... That was naive. The risk was always there.

Though thinking about it, if Ze Eduardo is the fix... This doesn't make any difference.

Fuck anyone who thinks we were smart selling Silva and Ibra when we were the same idiots who could have avoided selling them by selling the cripple

not that i was or am against his sale... but selling him would probably not meant that we didn't have to sell ts and ibra. their wages was our main problem, ibra had a moster salary, and ts was gonna ask for more. + the bid for the players was to much to refuse for a club in financial difficulties.

and pato would have been replaced by tevez in the same window anyway.

so... fuck you :D

While understanding Ibra's sale, I don't see how Silva's wages would be a big problem? We basically bought a bunch of fodder to replace him who combined are earning the same as what he did

And if we can't even afford to pay top players wages, why do we continue to live in the fantasy that we can remain a top club?

Lots of things suggest we sold TS to PSG mostly because that's what was needed to make Ibra accept a move to PSG. They tried to get Ibra, we accepted their bid but Ibra said no(according to our favorite Wegerup:proud:), then they tried to get TS and we said no(Grazie Presidente:proud:). Then all of a sudden we want to sell both and they both accept the move.

Yeah, TS did try to get a salary raise after we turned down their offer, but this was something the club should and did expect(source:interviews).

And TS said it himself, they(Ibra & TS) wanted to stay or move to the same club. But I'm pretty sure it was mostly Ibra wanting that since TS did accept a PSG move even when Ibra wasn't involved in the deal, while Ibra didn't.

Owen already ruined his career when he move to Madrid and 2006 WC injury almost end his career since he comeback he become mediocre player

let's see how pato did this season before jump to any conclusion and hope he didn't get ruined being partying too much like his senior Ronaldo,Adriano and Ronaldinho

I hate and despise the Thiago sale just like anyone else. One reason I can come up with is that the bid was just to good to refuse + the fact that TS wanted a higher salary (fully understandable, since he's the best defender in the world atm). I think he was on like 4 mil, (just like Mexes :fp:) and wanted 6-7, a new contract was even signed... he makes around 10 in Paris now. The combination of that forced the sale.

Another reason could probably be that they wanted to get rid of Ibra, and that PSG only would buy him if TS was included. This combined with the TS situation (high bid + higher salary demands) made it impossible for them to refuse given our economical situation. But I personally doubt this was the case.

---------

Milan will always be a top club, look at Liverpool, they're still regarded as one. What we're on the pitch, that's another question.

What Milan is doing now is paying for the mistake of keeping old players on big contracts for too long. This along with (and because of) the fact that Berlusconi, for various reasons, haven't been able to spend money on the club for a long time.

The financial crisis obviously being the biggest reason for that. Berlu being the leader of a country struck by this crisis made it impossible for him to spend money. Imagine if the leader of your country preached about economical responsibility from the citizens, and that the country had to save money by cutting down on investments in the schools, hospitals, roads etc ... while at the same time buying players for his football team (and running big losses) for huge sums. He'd be kicked out of the country in no time.

If Abramovich spends huge sums of cash, no one can tell him not to. He's not being a hypocrite. Berlu and Milan doesn't have that luxury, call it the curse of being owned by a political leader (of a democracy :D).

If we put aside the childish football fan side that we ALL share, there are perfectly understandable reasons to why Berlusconi have neglected Milan. One could say that he should have sold the club if he was going to prioritize other things. But it's his club and his terms. Personally, I want Milan to be owned by him, even though I don't like his political views.

Another factor is the FFP, people seem to forget this all the time. I think we're going into this new "financial era" in a good way. A different way as opposed to other big clubs, but in a good way. Teams like Real, Chelsea, City and PSG are stocking up on big stars and quality for a lot of cash NOW, since they know that they will not be able to do that in a couple of years. We on the other hand are creating a sound economy for being able to take advantage of the FFP later on.

You also have to remember that Italian football doesn't have the same conditions other countries like Spain and England has had (taxes on salaries for example!). It's not like Juve, Inter, Roma are acting like the big spenders in Europe. They're in the same situation. The Calciopoli hit hard on Italian football.

------

It feels like people on this forum forget about these reasons every time they go full ****** in the rumour commode. Now I'm not saying that there are no room for criticism, things could have been dealt with in a better way, but I don't think that our situation would have been much different anyway. We'd probably still be sitting here with great players who would have wanted large pay checks, and we'd be forced to sell them abroad. The FFP is about 10 years late.
