Older by a year actually

What has pato done since 19?

25 goals in 84 games in 2 years in brazil?

some more fun facts, in 1.5 years in milan he scored 6 goals in 25 matches

Basically in about 3 seasons he's scored like 31 goals in 106 games, most in lower leagues, almost none in any legit competition. But hey, remember that goal v. barca?

He said italy was a mistake. And we all know why

cool. Fun fact, Royston drenthe sunk barca once too.

Show me consistency

Balotelli has ANYTHING but consistency but over same span balotelli scored 50 goals in 102 games in epl and serie a. Not brazil and serie A. And if you wanna play big game little game he sunk man utd, chelsea etc.

46 goals and 21 assists in 102 games. quite impressive stuff by balo. italy's environment is just too appalling and backward in general. Too bad for him, it was never meant to be unfortunately. I hope he does well in liverpool. balo > pato. but pato's form in 2011 was much better than anything i have seen from balo.

Sounds familiar?

http://inbedwithmaradona.com/journal/2012/5/11/the-ill-fated-career-of-francesco-coco.html

Blaming others, being more focused on the lifestyle, got called out by the senatori, was and had in him to be a big talent but never was.
This has to be a double account. either that or the lamest crush Ive seen in my life.

Both Pato and Balotelli are great strikers and the fact that they use instagram doesn't make them unprofessional. its hilarious how one can mock Pato about instagram and everything else and not Balotelli. In the end, you can pull out any stats about Pato or Balotelli but they are still as close as it gets to the complete package as a striker in terms of physical and technical ability. They have speed, strength, skill, shooting/finishing ability that is unquestionable.

Pato's issues are health related. Once he left Milan he has been healthy. He had some trouble when he first went back, which is to be expected since he needs to learn to trust his body again.

He seems to be doing much better in São Paulo

i don't really care either do. That was just a joke. Balotelli legitimately cracks me up on IG. Pato only posts selfies, kinda lame. Again don't care. it's just a generational thing.

I have a little more faith in Balotelli, because he shows more desire to be a pro, as opposed to Pato who is more obsessed w/ being a celeb. Basis, basically every report in italy and brazil confirm on pato. Such as leaving a match early to go to a beyonce concert.

Balo of course has temperment issues, so he may never be what he should.

Talent is worthless without the right head. Pato really doesn't have it to be a top guy, imo. Maybe that changes but i dont see it.

Balo may not either, but i've seen way more hot heads eventually mature than laissez-faire motivated types like pato.

My two cents

Based on?

Most every report from brazil (and goal scoring stats) show he's a huge disappointment.

Same motivational issues he had at milan.

Balotelli is much more a show off and an attention whore than Pato. Anyway, Ronaldo Fenomeno was possibly the most lassez faire player Ive seen and it still didn't take away from his brilliance. Yeah sure he could have racked up Messi/Ronaldo numbers, but whats the point? Sacrifice your life so you dedicate everything to football and nothing else. point is if youre good, youre good and Pato is good. You cant take away that speed and technique. He never let himself go like Ronaldo, he takes care of his body like a true pro. Same goes with Balotelli, hes also a bit lazy on the pitch, but so what.

Its just weird that you put them in a different bracket and give different treatment.

ronaldo at 21 had accomplished more than most will in their careers, so i don't see point in comparing ANYONE to him.

extremely disagree.

Ronaldo also had a level of talent only messi and cristiano can even compare to.

He's like generational good. You see guys with that talent once every 15 years.

And in many ways, love his game, he did underachieve. Though we'll never know how much of that's tied to continuous knee problems which can hurt anyone

Thats exactly my point, of course R9 did underachieve but what does it matter. You don't really need to maximize your potential so that you are good or even worldclass. yes Pato would be better if he hada different mentality, but you making him out to be some dud is plain wrong. so yeah, he is also an underachiever, but that doesn't make him a bad player. nowhere near, add heading to the aforementioned qualities and youve got yourself a complete striker

i mean there's a complete difference between a guy who underachieved banging 25-35 regularly and a guy who is more like 10-12 w/ 15 being a high point.

even after he left milan for a weaker league he hasn't exactly gotten better.

He's talented. He's not THAT talented.

Would love to see Pato at Chelsea, man city or barca or even Real Madrid

Somewhere where they have midfielders that would feed him

He would score 15+ any of those teams I bet

Its the serie a. 15 is a respectable number when youre 19 years old after half a season in calcio. soon after that the injury nightmare started, and his development stopped.

He can be a 20 goal striker in Europe again, but someone needs to show faith in him and make him an important piece in their system.

Did u follow him ever since he came to Milan? Cause if so that is bull shit, there was no reason to doubt the hype in his first 1.5 half years here. He had a goal ratio of 1 in 2 games for a extremely young player.

The hype was real, injuries and most importantly his total lack of work ethic made him turn out to be a flop.

Did you ever see Zidane? P!rlo? Messi? Do you think these guys are the hardest workers in their team?

Pato is hated this much partly because of a lot of historical revisionism and slander on this forum
