Had some great moments, but was always overrated.
Never bought the hype.

He was already established as a wc striker. 6 months from ballon d'or. But in those 6 months he got injured and started dating Barbara.

The rest you know.

Totally

:fp:
Did you ever see Zidane? P!rlo? Messi? Do you think these guys are the hardest workers in their team?

Pato is hated this much partly because of a lot of historical revisionism and slander on this forum

Yeah cause pato is clearly as talented as those players :fp:. Even then all those players you mentioned were never lazy, they actually fight for the ball and are very aggressive.

Pato in 2011 was a top top player. Too bad he never regained that form again cause of injuries. I thought he was the next sheva :fp:.

Is a player hardworking based on how he moves on the pitch or based on his work-rate(e.g tracking back, pressing)? C. Ronaldo isn't ask to track back or defend but he is a hard working player on and off the pitch. I would categorize Messi (more so under Pep), Zidane and Pirlo the same.

Pato under Carlo, I wouldn't classify him as lazy. He was young, talent and hungry. Along the way, he lost his drive and work ethic and the frequent injury problems didn't help. Milan do share some of the blame for this but I hold Pato more accountable-able.

Hard working doesn't = being Gattuso like, even if yes, the first thing that comes to ones mind when thinking of Rino is how hard working he was.

You can be hard working while you're slow, or don't go for every ball, you don't even have to be at your best quality wise to be hard working... you're hard working when you put all your effort in your best qualities, and sometimes you even trascend them.

You're also hard working while training hard, and being a pro.

zidane too until his legs went in RM years.
I wouldn't say until, he was still hard working, it just that his legs weren't up for the task most of the time.

from what im seeing, he has become a solid poacher in the box, and still has some of that speed that we all loved. If he can stay healthy and fit, im sure he would/could fit into our squad in the next year or so. I know arsenal were looking to get him in the winter market this past season.

If Pazzo doesn't deliver maybe we should try and bring back the duck if we can find an under 3-4m deal in the winter or free in the summer as his contract expires then.

If Pato came here he would easily become our 1st choice striker if he stayed healthy..

If he comes back the #taskforce would have a heart attack
Congo would get re-banned for firing up the electron microscope and posting his dick pics :proud:

7 goals in 9 games is very impressive.

hopefully this is a sign that he is finally starting to trust his body again after all those injuries

I'm not sure Pato would be interested in returning to Milan. Serie A maybe. I've seen a few articles (now that's he relevant and scoring again) where he blamed Milan for mishandling his injuries. Combine that with his Ex now involved in running the show, I dunno. Maybe Inzaghi can sweet talk him.

Another day of glory in football Pato. Today, a goal and two assists. There are already 10 games and 8 goals. He's flying! São Paulo remains strong behind the title.
