I just watched the oldies 70's film produced entitled Serpico last night. Al Pacino plays independent young recruit entering the police force which fulfilling childhood dream. Unfortunately his force to be surrounded by cutting corners, forging document, and most important, taking payoffs from local gambling operation and narcotic rings. The storyline rocks, as the character goes too. His fight against corrupted system really thumbs up.

Its about 2 hours...

Its about 3 guys who walk in to a bank to rob it. They have everything planned out and its only supposed to take 5 mins. Then one of the guys bails out, and everything possible goes wrong for the 2 robbers. There is so much great character development and the movie is based on a true event that unfolded in New York City. Check it out, its really good.

Allow me to talk a little about John Cazalle here, people predicted him to be the next great character star along with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in the late 70s/early 80s. Sadly he died of brain cancer. His movie resume are very short but impressive : Godfather 1+2 (Fredo Corleone), Dog Day Afternoon and the Deer Hunter.

During the filming of the Deer Hunter he was getting sicker and required more treatment. The Director (Michael Cimmino) wanted to sack him. But the crew led by the stars such De Niro, Christopher Walken and Merryl Streep (his then-GF) threatened to quit, so the director kept him. It was to be his last movie, he died not long after the movie was released.
