The goal for this season should be to make it out of the group stage at least and win the scudetto again. I doubt Milan can hang with the big boys in Europe yet. These 2 Chelsea games have been a reality check.
Only delusional people needed a “reality check”. I always wish and support our team to beat any opposition including the best in Europe but none of our players are among the best in Europe in anything yet unlike what some people on here like to believe.

I think Mike, leao theo among the top 5 - 10 players on their position.
Bennacer, Tonali. Tomori among the top 10 - 20.
Calabria, Kalulu top 20 - 30.

Rest not worth playing in mid table teams in serie b, ignoring kjear due to age/injury. and this is what always hunt us, to compete with the best you need 15 - 16 players on top level, we only have 8-ish, that's why we might play good but the end product(especially in the attack) always pull us back.

He's a boring German whose too obsessed with rules. According to rules it's correct, seeing as he believes that it warranted a penalty then the red is justified in his mind.

The problem is that with all these technicalities going on referees lose their personality and cannot run the game by instinct anymore. It makes for a dull match. You complain and the ref will send you off. This is how football has become. There are cameras everywhere and you have to go according to the rules otherwise your reputation as a referee will be ruined.

The sport has changed, im not sure for the better, but whatever is written in that book is applied in an almost literal manner. There was a time when you could get away with being cheeky, which is what Tomori tried to do, by to exerting enough force to clearly foul Mount, but just enough to make him lose his balance. In another era this would never be a foul but today the referees decision can be justified even though I don't necessarily agree with it.
So every contact is a foul? Anytime they use their hands to touch a player did the ref blow a foul? When Sterling went in studs up did they check VAR? Were their fouls punished with yellows with the same harshness as ours? The ref was ‘technically’ correct in his opinion but was his dial set to the same for Milan as it was for Chelsea? Honestly he seemed to relish the role of being against the crowd and tried to overcompensate, like he didn’t want the crowd to influence him so he did the opposite.

At the end of the day he didn’t deny him a goal scoring opportunity and the ‘foul’ wasn’t worthy of a yellow let alone a red. Give a penalty, fuck it, but the red is only for challenges that deny a goal scoring opportunity.

Controversial opinion here... So, did anyone else think Theo left Fik exposed following a marauding run that saw him not get back quick enough? This looked like some sort of Pioli tactic to have Theo help match/overload the middle when we were in possession... But we weren't in possession. Leaving Timori 1 vrs 1 with arguably Chelsea's most consistent and effective player.

Did Timori touch a shoulder, yes! Did he tug the shirt, pull the player back, clip a heel, sweep a leg? No... Soft penalty, even when following the rules.

But I'll take the penalty, these decisions happen. But to then send him off??!!! Fuck hell no!!!!

The referee could have applied common sense and not effectively killed of a competitive game so early.

Fik hasn't been himself this year, could being constantly overlooked for England be playing on his mind, ollowing a stand out first year in Italy?

Or we could just shit on him...

Leao, oh Leao... In Serie A he's an undoubted star, playing mostly with average to above average players on his right and ahead of him... Against better teams in the CL, with better players/squads, he's playing with the same average players, some times worse. Anyone else see the issue? Maybe let's hope to see him with 2 better, far better players beside him then truly judge him?

He does go missing sometimes, but quite often other players didn't step, especially against better teams.

Also, he's had to carry this team for 6-9 months, he's still growing and has this fucking law suit hanging over him... All the time still starting every game with a smile on his face and hope, so much hope in him.

That said, we need resolution to his contract situation! I think he wants to stay, but obviously his lawyer and Mendes are stirring the pot.

Simply put, we NEED some more quality, it's so obvious. We can argue back and forth but CDK needs to find his feet, we need a RW with end product, and we need a fit, healthy, mobile, instinctive young striker. Then we hope one or two of our hail Mary summer signings come good...

We were in last night match from start to finish, but it's the same old story... We get fucked with a decision, they take their opportunities, we fluff ours, game over, we lose.

I slept sound last night, today's a new day, we're not dead yet, but last night was a Fernet Branca flavoured pill to swallow!!!

Forza Milan x

VAR. what’s the point of it if they don’t let him review his decision? A red and a penalty at the 18th minute. Clearly a soft penalty and red. He managed to get his shot on target. Check the fucking VAR. Then decide if it’s still worth a red and penalty.

If VAR is dependent on refs having some humility, what’s the point? We’re always held hostage to their ego.

I couldn't believe he didn't even look at it again. That seemed to be driving the players insane as well because how do you not even check when it's that soft???

2 of those teams spend 80M on their goalkeepers

I'm not going to berate Pioli when he's not given the adequate tools to compete at this level.

No, I am for a more free game. I am not defending the referee, I think he is a twat. I'm not sure why you have the tone of accusation.

tl:dr Stevan was right :o

Goes to show how dangerous it can be to bring unpleasant truth to an angry mob

Him being an autistic fuckwit didn't help either
Strange thing is that both Wes & Joy seemed more concerned about some popular softies who overacted & yet steven was banned

I felt bad for you and all our fans in attendance last night at SS. With one action, Siebert spoiled what was shaping up to be a good, competitive game.

There's more glory ahead for this young Milan team. In time, we'll be dancing in the streets once more.

OK, maybe not Stevan. . .

Just admit what massage parlor you went to.
My son's too young to take unfortunately... But I did enjoy the warm embrace of a lovely large pour of whisky and looked at the Serie A table and everything didn't seem so bad 💪

TBH, Pioli has had shit squads at his disposal for just about all 6 matches, and as far as I remember, he got a draw vs Man Utd? Anyway, he has played vs huge referee errors vs Chelsea and Atletico.

I've never missed him and Milan don't miss him.

A top player on his day but that day only arrives 5 times a season. For the rest of the time he is medocre, inconsistent, mentally weak cry baby.
