Seedorf Tips Inter For Scudetto
Milan put Inter to the sword in the Derby, but Dutch ace Clarence Seedorf believes the Nerazzurri are still the side to beat to achieve the Serie A title.

The Rossoneri have had their worst start to a campaign in 22 years, with back-to-back defeats in the first two games of the season, but have hit their stride now, comfortably qualified for the UEFA Cup Group stage and even claimed the Milan city bragging rights, with Ronaldinho's first goal in a Diavoli shirt condemning José Mourinho's troops to their first defeat in the Derby della Madonnina.

But former Inter player Seedorf feels that the Beneamata are still the stronger side in Italy and are hot favourites to land their fourth Serie A title come June.

"They are the team to beat," he told **********. "They are the reigning champions and have the most complete squad: they have so many quality players in all the roles, it's incredible.

"I'm not saying we are inferior to them, but the Nerazzurri have six or seven options in every position. Moreover, I think it also comes down to continuity: our last season was dismal and we need to get back on the map with humility, through facts, not words."

Along with Milan, Juventus are also keen to challenge for the title, but are going through a tough spell at the moment and are four points adrift of the early pacesetters' pack of Inter, Lazio and Udinese.

"Juve remain an important rival," asserted Clarence, "we were also in a crisis and now it's their turn, but I'm sure they will come out of it, as always. They were demoted to Serie B, but never lost their identity and are already back in the Champions League."

Beemer said it a while ago, he has the biggest press mouth... reporters love him more than carlo :)

And it already started, we already dropped from 'we will win scudetto' to 'inter will prolly win it'. How long till 'we'll end up in top4 spot' statement? Any bets?

seedorf was just speaking live in the sky sports news studio in england, he spoke about alot of topics, that if a good offer comes in from england he might consider it but it has too be something special for him to leave milan, he thinks chelsea will win the cl, he said he will consider coming out of international retirement if they recall him. lots more but cant be arsed to type it at the moment.

Seedorf: Beckham may never play for Milan• Dutchman says Beckham will struggle to break into line-up

Two of Milan's biggest names today gave contrasting reactions to David Beckham's imminent arrival at the San Siro. Clarence Seedorf said that while he was "excited" about teaming up with the England midfielder, he expressed doubts over whether Beckham would ever play for Milan, while Ronaldinho was rather more positive about the deal.

"I don't even know if he'll be able to play for us," said Seedorf. "I mean the first goal is for him to get fit and in the best shape possible. Training with a club like Milan will definitely improve his game even if it's only from a training point of view. But I don't know if he'll play, that's another thing completely."

Beckham, who will arrive on loan from LA Galaxy in January, believes the move will help him maintain his England place, something Seedorf concurs with. "He should focus on his physical state, train as hard as possible in a structure that's one of the best in the world to prepare for games with England which I think is his final goal and that's right," Seedorf added. "[The World Cup in] 2010 is not that far away so he has to work hard and show [Fabio] Capello he's still here."

Rather more positive about Beckham's prospects at Milan is Ronaldinho. "I am very happy to know that he's coming," said the Brazilian. "He's going to help us a lot and I'm looking forward to helping him be the great player he is as well. I always like the way he plays. I always admired him and it's very cool to play with important people. It's always very motivating."

Ronaldinho and Beckham are both known for their free-kick abilities, but the Brazilian believes they can complement each other. "That's not a problem, [although] it could be a problem for the team we're playing against," he added. "I hope to learn a lot with David Beckham."

Clarence Seedorf: I Could Leave Milan For England

The Rossoneri's Dutch veteran has reiterated his interest in the Premier League, although he is satisfied with his situation at the San Siro...

A host of clubs will no doubt be sizing up a January bid for AC Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf after he expressed his love for the English game.

The 32-year-old snubbed a number of opportunities to make the switch during his prime years, but he has been thoroughly impressed by the competition's improvement in recent times.

"I would love to play in the Premier League," Seedorf said in the Daily Mail. "Which player wouldn't? It's one of the best leagues in the world. I'm happy at AC Milan but I never say never.

"The development of the Premier League over the last five years has been incredible. The football is exciting with much more quality. I love to watch it on television."

While it is unlikely that a top-four team will come calling for Seedorf at this stage of his career, Champions League hopefuls like Manchester City and Everton could use a player of his calibre and experience.

I really doubt they got a interview whit him,but as Arish said knowing his verbal Diarrhea habits it may be true.

I really hope it is true,he can`t play as a starter if our ambitions are scudetto and champions league glory ,we need some one who can put good performances all year and we have a chance of getting that in Gourcuff.

But for that to happen he needs to leave the team,or accept a bench role.Although it would be wiser if we let him go.We could trick city owners to give us more money that his worth+ the wage budget would be reduced considerably .

Haha yeh...we could prolly sell him for 15million...I'd sell him...He's extremly inconsistent. and Gourcuff or another young good replacement would be appereciated....I'd go for Gago or De la red! :star:

I love that experience stuff, blabla etc. and i know you can't win smth only with youth but considering for example seedorf...there is time when you need to find a replacement to secure future, slowly giving him a chance to become a starter, important player for milan...only name of club & trophies are what is staying but players are coming and leaving.

I would love for Seedorf to go in PL,coz obviously no one here will force him
to go...This man has won everything he could in his career and he is one of the most trophied players in Europe...He has no more motivation here and its
effecting his apperances and most importantly it effects the team...He needs to go further in his career to seek for new challenge or more money...

Imho Seedorf only looks bad because Pirlo is also there.....you can't have TWO slow players walking around not doing much....but in truth le looked better than Pirlo in almost everything. Clarence is a far more classy player than Pirlo and if he had those heat-seeking passes that Pirlo has but seems to be losing - he'd be 100% better. He is stronger, faster(like that's saying much), keeps posession, makes fewer mistakes, more danderous free kicks and more penetration in the final third.

Seedorf actually did a lot of defending last night....not that he wasn't shit and he had an opportunity where he had a bunch of space on the right where he should have tried to walk into the goal rather than to send that shit cross in.

I'd rather Pirlo and Emerson go than Seedorf tbh.

Yet Pirlo who played MUCH deeper than Seedorf forced two great saves out of Amelia. So how exactly is Seedorf better?

We can't have two slow players walking around? We shouldn't be having even one!

Did a lot of defending? Watch the highlight of the third goal. About 5 seconds before the cross came in from Balzeretti (I think it was). Just watch that lazy ass piece of shit (Seedorf) and then comment on how he 'defends'.

But dont bother watching Pirlo's defending, coz he never does that!
Maybe he could get hurt by doing that, or in attack if he would go more forward with ball someone could tackle him...Fucking Princess!!!

Anyway its lame from us to discuss who is worse Pirlo or Seedorf :head: ...

Seedorf defended his ass off that game...even the commentator said that....but NemcyTheKing is right we shouldn't be discussing who was shittier.....I really missed the incident you were talking about so perhaps you're right but the truth is I feel far more uneasy when Pirlo has the ball
