Finnnaaaaaallly a Serie A start with a win. Congrats Pippo:star:

Let's not go nuts though. We had many home games like this last season. It was in away games with a 3 man midfield approach that we seemed unable to even beat the shittiest of teams. Pippo's 4-3-3 seems faster and more counter-oriented than Allegri's and as counter-oriented as Seedorf's later approach with a double-pivot, which gives me hope for away games too, but it remains to be seen if he has a solution to any of our real issues.

What was different (imho) was that the players knew where to go with the ball and tried to get it to those spots very quickly, even if they werent technically comfortable at times trying some of the passes.

I always see that as a sign of good coaching; players knowing not just what to do currently but the next move as well.

My biggest takeaway were the smiles during the entire match. For the first time in about 3 years, it looked like the players were having fun and did so while working hard. We can build on the movement and speed of the game, but trusting your teammates is vital.

Great start Pippo, but let's not get too excited yet.

A long road ahead.

We need to control the game better. We were clinical in front of goal, but the game just wasn't in our hands. I'm really curious about how we're gonna do against the smaller teams. That's gonna determine our fate if you ask me.

Undoubtebly. Many teams got a long way just by winning against smaller sides all season, hell even won championships. And I think this team has everything to win agains them. Give their best against top sides and we can hope for something, even 3rd place doesen't seem far away. But there are many games to be played b4 we see how this team plays. If we continue like today, control the game a little bit more then we are on the road to europe.

So he wants runners at midfield?.
Why would he keep
Saponara instead of cristante. And I am not counting this van ginkel dude, since it is a dry loan and not a replacement for cristante.

Considering that Cristante was our best youngster in the past two years to make it here from Primavera, it was a bit of a hard pill, but I don't blame Inzaghi.

I've been saying for over a year that Cristante was not ready and over here there's a lot of pressure. Good luck to Benfica, there's less pressure and easier league which is perfect for him.

Part of me thinks that the deal was done long ago, and we were delaying the confirmation until we found a replacement.

Taarabt: I told Galliani "You're the boss, sign me" but he replied "Adel I want you, but I don't know about Inzaghi...".

That seems like the universal excuse. The fact that Taarabt tried to shortcut Inzaghi is also something that is not good. Imagine if we got him and a few months in he'd be complaining about the coach to Galliani.

Personally for 7 mill I'm much more happy with Bonaventura than Taarabt (especially considering the character and the fact that Bonaventura has much lower salary)

If he is not the bitch, he is the one who made Cristante go away.

Stop being idiot, we all wanted from Milan to buy a midfielder, people in this forum asked for a midfielder before a winger.

And Pippo with Galliani did it, they got Van Ginkel because the fans asked them. Pippo and Van Ginkel have nothing to do with the departure of Cristante. Even if we would sign Dzemaili or any other midfielder, Cristante would still ask to be sold, because he wanted more playing time, and no he was not ready to have a lot of space. If you are angry because Cristante left, you can't blame Pippo and Galliani, Cristante should be blamed.

Seedorf never used Cristante, I remember when half of our midfielders were injured, and Seedorf played with Essien, in some matches of Seedorf, Cristante was not even called to play. With Allegri he only played 1-2 games, he was sub even in friendly matches. While Pippo used Cristante in every friendly match and you blame him now? Cristante had to stay because Van Ginkel, Essien or any other could leave next season so he would have space, he was not ready to have space this season.

There is only one reason to blame the managment:

They got him from Primavera to the first team when he was 17-18 and they hyped him, the best option for him would be to stay in Primavera for at least 1 more season. They are doing the same with Mastour, he is 16 years, and he will not play a single game, when any offer arrives he will ask to be sold just like Cristante because they have hyped him. He should left in Primavera for 1-2 seasons before getting him to the first team.

Good choice from Inzaghi. Slow and selfish wingers like Taarabt are not good for our style of play.
