Milan renewal for Pazzini
pazzini-lazio-shot490ai_0.jpg

Italian giants Milan are reportedly ready to offer Giampaolo Pazzini a new contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Pazzini arrived at San Siro in the summer from city rivals Inter in a deal which saw Antonio Cassano move in the other direction.

Although the 28-year-old has had his problems this season, as well as seeing the club net Mario Balotelli in January, he’s ready to be rewarded for his efforts.

Pazzini’s present deal expires in 2015, but the Rossoneri are ready to offer him a 12-month extension to those terms.

There should be no change to his €2.7m a season salary.

Pazzini, formerly of Atalanta, Fiorentina and Sampdoria, has scored 12 goals in 21 League games for the Diavolo this term.

He netted twice in the 3-0 win over Lazio on Saturday night after Balotelli was ruled out of the tie with injury.

that's all I want to see. We dont need typical wingers with Constant and Desciglio on pitch. Only good defensive work in middle to cover our FB.

:fp:.Just no let's not forget how many mediocre and bad games he had this season.it will be the 3 mohawks in attack, and pazzo as a very good 2nd choice

maybe for you. For me Pazzini is always good or excellent. He need good teammates with proper crosses and passes like everyone else pure striker. I see much more bad games from Nocerino, Abate, Flamini, Ambrosini and Boateng AM. With Constant, Desciglio, Montolivo, Ses, Balotelli, Muntari, Boateng(LCM, RCM), we will see a lot of goals from Pazzini and AC Milan ;)

Such a useful player, I really hope he stays with us and the talk of an extension is true. Really shows the value of having a proper centerforward wreaking havoc in the box (physical and mental warfare) and occupying central defenders.

Goal every 106th minute
Best in Serie A of those who've scored more than 5 goals and/or played more than 5-6 games.

Thats from Pazzini ;) i blame Allegri for too many mediacore and bad games this season.

And from his pov it's debatable that it's better for his NT chances to move to a mid-table club and basically give up CL football
(not to mention take a big pay cut and all the benefits of playing for a club like Milan...)

More playing time surely, but here he still will get decent playing time, play high level games, he will be around the Italian NT future players (and Prandelli like to call players with club chemistry)...

I would be very suprised if he didnt get the call for Confederations Cup in June. Not only is the forwards that can be selected notthat good but he also had a decent season so far. Plus I would imagine Prandelli likes him

i was really hesitant about pazzini joining milan given how he actually wound up on the team

but i am very happy he is here now and i hope he does not leave anytime soon. even with balotelli on the team now, pazzini is very important for them. i hope he knows this...i hope management shows him

Without question, and I think he realizes that based off his quotes after Barca and Inter, and if he just needs a little more reassurance that management really want him I think the contract extension should do the trick.

suddenly blaming allegri for..well everything became the latest hobby in this forum.

Beyond that. Pazzini is finishing beyond my expectations

Honestly. Some People expect Falcao level production from pazzini (no where near that good) and if not... FODDER

he's a solid player. I like him for what he is. He's not gonna blast 30 goals. If he did his name would be like cavani as best cf in italy

Elaborate please.

And lets talk this through, he has the best goal ration in Serie A currently, what else did you expect? A goal per match? Eh yeah, you know that's not exactly normal. A 0.5+ ratio is actually a great range.

I mean Inter has done fairly stupid things, but I doubt they would've gifted us a goal per match machine for Cassano and 7 mil.

It wasn't neither Allegri's nor Pazzini's fault to go some matches without scoring. It's NORMAL. I know many of you have started watching football in the Messi, Cristiano era, with some others like Eto'o, Zlatan and Rooney getting close to a goal per match ratio, but it's NOT the norm.

exactly he's not wc but if he finish with 15 or more goals,he should definitely stay since he pretty much promise more than 10 goals.

Interviewed by Italia Due, AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini has declared:

"What has happened to me in the last two years? You can move the numbers in many ways.
Last year at Inter I had a negative season, but I had scored many goals at the beginning.

Before the two goals scored in the last game they didn't talk a lot about me, even if I had already scored 10 goals.

I have found my balance, I want to continue this way for both my team and I. Leaving Inter?

What happened then has changed my opinion on certain people.
After what I have been through, an important club arrived, the one who has one most titles in the whole world,
I have found a great ambiance that has helped me a lot. Juventus and Napoli?

I am in good terms with Marotta, but there has never been a direct contact.
Napoli have been tracking me both last summer and in the past.

The arrival of Balotelli? I met him in the national team, there are a lot of rumours around him, but he is basically a calm guy".

@Milanello: Pazzini's perfect XI (4-3-3): Abbiati; Maicon-Dainelli-Nesta-Maldini; Palombo-Montolivo-Iniesta; Pazzini-Toni-C. Ronaldo.

Really? Pazzini as a winger? Hmmm. Huntelaar on the right, Pazzini on the left...sounds good to me
