Day after defeat, it is funny that people thought that we were going to beat everybody by 5 or 6 goals. It will be a long process and a season of growing for our players.

- Cristante was our best player. Even though he was a big fault in Olympiacos first goal, his performance was great.

- SeS was a let down. Same as Insigne, sometimes he thinks that he has to be Batman when he is Robin, I like SeS but he had Sapo by his side and he always stop the ball and passed it to Albertazzi.

- Saponara was decent. I think he did better defensively than offensively. He was the sole responsible for Olympiacos third goal. Still, he has improved and needs playing time to grow into the position.

- Niang is too raw. He was dangerous until the final touch. His decision making is horrendous. He may need a loan the most.

- Albertazzi was a nightmare. He was too shaky at LB.

For next game, it is obvious that Alex has to play. It would be interesting what kind of midfield will Pippo bring. I hope Balo plays to see if he tries to adapt to Pippo's system or not.

Yeah dumbass...these 2 can actually dribble...and these 2 also play in La Liga too and they also play for Real Fucking Madrid the team that just won the Champions League and has some of the best players in the world...give me a fucking break!

SES doesn't have that kind of luxury
If we stick to playing wingers this upcoming season is already lost

Time to go back to what works...enough with the experimentation crap
I love the sensationalism here.

Ps, for anyone dismissing the fatigue angle, have you ever flown from Italy to NYC? The jet lag is killer. The players arrived Wednesday, had a full day event and then went by bus to Toronto. To their bodies, the match started at 2:00 am.

I expect better performances as they adjust to the time difference and pippo

How about Olympiacos? Shouldn't it be worse for them?

When did they arrive? I don't have that information. The commentators made it seem as if they've been in the us longer

According to their Twitter, they arrived yesterday.

Edit: Scratch that. They arrived in Toronto yesterday. In USA 2/3 days ago. So yeah they should be more prepared

For me, it's usually a three day adjustment, so that probably helped a lot. I got back from the Middle East and fell asleep at 7:00 pm basically every night. I didn't eat dinner for three days!

That's me working in an office, not playing a sport professionally, so the adjustment had to be tough.

Scathing remarks but yeah fair enough mate. Still think you are a bit harsh on saponara and ses. Its only ses's second or third competitive game post injury. Same goes for sapo

If we play our season like how we did against Olympiacos we are gonna dominate in Serie C probably :D

Not necessarily. We did not play good however Olympiacos played like Pippo wants to play (like Atletico). Olympiacos were just more physical and took care of their chances.

I am not hard on both. I think both are talented. I like SeS but he needs to learn how to make 1-2 combinations to progress as a player. On the other hand, Saponara has make a good transition into LCM. He still has ways to go but I have great expectations from him. If both can adapt and combine more, we will have a great left flank if you add DeSciglio at that side.

Yes certainly. Hope it turns out well. Lets say about 10 - 12 games should give us a better outlook on how our left sided players work as a unit.

For context, the last time we won the Scudetto our preseason looked like-

0-2 loss to Varese
1-1 to Arsenal
1-1 to Lyon
0-0 to Panathinakios (5-3 to Milan on PKs)
1-1 to Juve (4-2 to Milan on PKs)
0-0 to Inter (2-3 loss on Pks)
0-0 to Juve (4-5 loss on Pks)
1-1 to Bartha (1-3 loss on PKs)

No need to overreact now.

we bought zlatan on the last day of the transfer market though....

But we still have not bought any "zlatan" this season, so we have to wait for the last day of transfer martke.

Oh the calamity, we lost a pre-season friendly against a well drilled, prepared side who did well in the champions league last season (at least most of the starting 11 were playing). Not to mention we had Zaccardo who was responsible for two of the goals by himself...

I was @ the game and you are bang on! Was walking about these points with all the guys and our CB's were cringe worthy. I just wanted to see Mastour and Inzaghi didn't play him we were all so pissed bc we went to see him and Cristante

Mastour? It is good that he not played, Olympiacos were just too physical. He would have been fouled a lot as soon as he got the ball.

Relax, dont judge on this one yet because Im too not convinced with past 2 friendly match against small club.

Its better to show weakness right now so that Pippo & the team could learn something.

I do not know why some people think that should beat every team in this cup by 5 goals or more. There is transition into a new system. The two games aginst Renate and Monza gave us an idea of how we are going to play. The game against Olympiacos, also gave us some of the shortcomings of the young players in the new system. Time for the kids to grow and learn to be more physical on their play.

Thoughts on the game
-The team got to usa a day before the game.
-This is Pippo's 3rd game, and first serious friendly.
-That's not the complete team.
-It's a friendly game.
-yes, obviously the team still needs some signings to actually fight for CL spot.

Nothing ground breaking was found from this friendly. Except it was horribly planned to have a friendly just the day after a transatlantic flight with zero preparation.

They re not 17-18 yo . Mostly 22-23 . They didnt play football for the 1st time . This was pathetic performance and there is no way to up this play for CL spot . At least with this players.

So we lost 3-0 to the Greeks? Nice, I suppose they will have to install bigger scoreboards than the standard ones for the match vs Manchester City. I think I shall skip this entire upcoming season, and probably the next three also, unless Berlusconi starts to use his chopper and his wallet again and brings us winners instead of the silly excuses for players we have now. Jet lag my butt I would even be pissed if Allegri didn't make my day by having JUVE LOSE 2-3 in TURIN vs an AMATEUR SIDE (Serie D) with 2-3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAI! DAI! DAI! RAGAZZI!
