Was involved with two assist-assists (not sure if the first one formally qualifies but he created the chance that ended with Leao´s chance) in both of our goals today, and close to scoring himself. Was a bit skeptical about him starting in the pivot and he plays it very attacking but he also wins a lot of duels, even high up the pitch. Glad he uses his chances.

He did pretty well and sometimes he is an attacking threat. I think he is not so good with his tackles and commits a lot of unnecessary fouls, he is also not good in turning when he receives the ball so I don't think the CM position is for him unless we play with 3 men there.

It might be a bit crazy but I wouldn't mind if we try him as ST/CF/physical false 9, his off ball movement is excellent, his finishing is great for a mid and he likes to go into a ST position in phases anyway. I know it is a big change and a bit out there but ...

He is no Pogba.

He is Pobega. And he should be able to replace Bennacer for the rest of the season.

I'll just put this here again - this guy will end up with a fraction of the mins of RLC and maybe even Musah but will score more goals, average more tackles too.

I can accept signing one of RLC and Musah - but both, when they are statistically worse than our own boy hurts. We needed Dominguez. Someone with qualities in both phases of the game.
Really it should've been Dominguez, Samardzic and Reijnders.

I like Pobega he is a smart player , he is not amazing technically but he has other qualities and you don't see him making critical mistakes.

Actually I thought he gave the midfield more balance compared to Reijnders. This lead me to think of a diamond midfield with Krunic at the base, Pobega on the left, RLC on the right and Reijnders at the head. I think it would work especially when we have full backs who like to maraud forward.

Agreed.

Also, Pobega should considering be turned into a true DM, he have the physical, a good pass and the job in this department is there, needs to improve his man marking skills only.
IMHO, he would fit more as a DM than a CM. I dont know how tall he is, but he apparently is tall to help the defenders also.

Yes but I like that he knows when to join the attack, he has the engine to be present on both areas of play. If you saw vs Newcastle he was always inside the box when we attacked, giving us numerical advantage, and he is quite strong with his finishing.

I think he is better as a box to box and he should be given enough minutes with the starters to show his worth.

I want to see him get more minutes for sure. I get KPB vibes at times, he's going to be useful this season for sure, if trusted with minutes.

Pobega and Musah either side of Deers could be interesting as that's a great engine, they all have good engines. Against less technical teams I think they could work.

Either way, I've always liked our Ed Sheeran

I'm not sure what you mean about KDB vibes, unless you are referring to his tan ?

Would be interesting to try out that midfield trio . Pioli should try to mix and match since each midfielder can offer something different

KPB in terms of his bombing into the box.

People keep saying he's a bad DM, when he's not a DM, he's totally a B2B midfielder, that needs to be trained more on certain areas to redefine and refine what his true position should be.

I like the kid.

He always aces these

I think he's sorta intellectual leader in the squad. Always puzzled.why he is allowed to yell at teammates on pitch when he's clearly in the wrong. But now have a feeling he dont get challenged much in discussions.

He is an academic (economy if rememberer correctly) while that doesn't mean that he is super smart it is a very good indicator that he at least is above average.

Basically a rocket scientist among footballers then.
