People who believe that the money is gonna be reinvested are deluded. There has been NO indications whatsoever of this happening and in fact reports suggest that a large part of it is gonna go towards 'balancing the books'. Heck, our past history with selling stars would enforce that notion

I don't want to be fuckin' Man City. I don't want us to be spending money willy nilly and creative an unstainable enviornment. What I want is for us to have the fucking ability to retain our stars. To not have a overbloated wage bill for squad mostly filled with shit players. To have a GM who has even a minute shred of business sense and doesn't have his actions dictated by the love of his players. To have an actual plan of youth development. To have an ACTUAL fuckin' project, one that doesn't require us to sell our stars every fucking year

This shit was supposed to be over when we sold Kaka. It was supposed to be over when we bought Ibra. It was supposed to be over when the management boasted about plans of having a project

We sell Silva and buy a couple of more players from part of the money. One of them, if we are lucky, will become a star and then what? We sell him off for profit too and repeat the cycle?

What are we? Fuckin' Udinese?

+1 The way things are going, a CL spot will be our most optimistic target for next season. If Silva leaves, I guarantee more players will follow.

Ibra's career will end soon, he will want to win something before that. Obviously not happening in this team so he will hand in a transfer request.

After Ibra and Thiago are gone, Boateng and Cassano will seriously consider their options.

Take our current squad and look at who's left without these players. We will be a mid table team.

I thank the current ownership for everything they have done, but they have been fucking up for almost a decade now. Sound financial management and planning would not have gotten us into the mess we are now. regardless of the various drawbacks.

Look at Juve for example. They have been screwed over and over again, but are they such a huge pile of mess? No

Their management has been willing to invest. They might not have gone about it in the right way most of the time, but their ownership has atleast shown intent. Those who use the Fininvest fine as a crutch, do you realise how much money Juve lost because of Calciopoli?

It's clear as day that we need a new stadium. But where would we get the funds? Certainly not from these two bozos who would rather sell our stars and moan about how fuckin' unfair it is for them?

Moreover, considering how they have handled things in the past, why do people have this re-found faith that this time it will be different? I mean, Gattuso and Nesta themselves had to take the decision to leave. If it were Galliani, it would have been different. FFS! The jackass doesn't even give a proper answer to Seedorf

It's true we should support the club through thick and thin. But where does it say that it includes the management? Do you think fans were happy with the previous management fucking over the club?

I am a Milan fan, I can't help but stick with it. But it is fuckin' infuriating to know that the management is constantly screwing it over and I can't do anything about it but just watch it sink

So I see the following Scenario if we consider to sell TS

TS, Ibra, Binho, Pato & Mexès OUT

and JoJo (SS) + Alan Dzagoev (AMF) Witsel (CMF) + Acerbi (CB) + Ogbonna (CB / LB) + Astori (CB / LB) IN

F****** Weird

Is there any thing anywhere stating that Prince and Cass have said they will leave, might think about leaving?

Prince will not find a club that will treat him any better, nor be a guaranteed starter when fit... Similarly where is Cass going? Real, Man City, another Italian team who know what he's like?

I actually think that if Ibra and Silva leave then that will be it... Cass and Prince might make a fuss, G will give them an extra million or two per year and they'll shut up. Hell Cass will become a guaranteeed starter if ibra leaves!!!

Lets not go all full panic button, Ibra and Silva's sales are hopefully the final piece of "balancing the books", what with all the saved wages next year... I'm the first to jump on a doom and gloom bandwagon and bash B&G, but I see a bigger picture, and hopefully the future I see for Milan is one that B&G now see...

Pato, Cass, Binho, SES
Prince, Aqua, Noc, Monty, Traore, Munt, Ambro
Mexes, Acerbi?, Nesta?, Boner, Abate, Anton
Abs, ?

Is this team any better or worse than the 2009/2010 squad? In defence most definatly, but in midfield and attack its open to discussion I'd say?

I hope many on here follow Ibra out the door as many on here are only interested in a winning Milan, rather than a competitive Milan... I've supported Milan since 1990 and for the most part we've done well, but if we'd won the league every year and the CL every second year it would get boring. This is a shitty time for us, but come on people lets see what happens and hope for the best, not for an Arab or Russian to bail us out :fp:

WTF is up with all the hate. Jesus. It's not like G is reading your post and feeling guilty. I'm sure he doesn't give two shits about the plastic fans saying they will support PSG or Man City. To be honest 50 Mil for Silva is not a shabby deal. I would have pushed for 60 but 50 I can be content with.

I still believe all this media frenzy around Silva is just wrong. I personally think Ibra is off. If we manage to get rid of him rather than Silva for upwards of 20 Mil. I would be a happy person. We are in the Shit Financially. We need money. We need to start again. Our current philosophy of buying young in the last two/three years will bear fruits eventually. We just need the time to build a stable competitive squad, which can fund and build itself based on a new setup.

I'm not saying it will be easy, because it won't but I would rather have 4-5 years of being on a rocky road to success, than having this BS every transfer window and selling 2 or 3 big players that just about get us unscathed from embarrassing defeats.

We need to start again and look at the long term big picture.

what i dont understand is why players like binho, taiwo, mesbah are the 1st ones sold off if he are desperate to get funds in to clear debt.

Sell the worst of the worst before you have to sell the best of the best.

Would you buy the worst players from PSG and Real?

In this climate people want the best, not the fodder... unless your Milan!!!

Any business will always have more offers for its most prized assetts than its least... I'd love it if we'd sold Flam's for 10 last year, but no one was after him, we cant make someone buy him because we want rid. I'd love it if Boner, Mesbah and Taiwo were sold, Taiwo looks like he will be, the others dont, but selling all 3 for under 10 million aint going to balance the books either...

IMO we need to sign players like Witsel, Eriksen, Sahin, Strootman, Dede, Acerbi, Ogbonna ect players who are young and can give us 5-10 years of top football. Yeah they might demand big fees, but if you pay say 20m for Witsel and he gives you 10 years that's like paying 2m a year for his services, so why not? Utd and Arsenal do it. We have star power on this team such as Ibra, Silva, Pato and Cassano. We should be building around them so in a few years we can become a power house again.

There's something to be said for trimming the fat before gutting the thing. It's like going on a diet before getting your stomach stapled.

I still am in disbelief that NO team wanted Flamini for free. Arsenal had a crazy midfield crisis at one point before Flamini was injured...I have a feeling we could have easily sent him there for free and gotten his wages off of our books.

Unfortunately, we don't do business according to an efficient model, which is one of the many reasons I want new management.

12.11 - Leonardo is currently in the home of Paris Saint-Germain, but Galliani is still at the hotel. The deal is not closed, there is no agreement on the amount and timing of payments. (Sky Sports)
11:43 - We had mentioned yesterday we at MilanNews.it and confirm it in the morning: one of the main reasons for which Adriano Galliani and Leonardo are continuing negotiations is that due to the bonuses. Milan want cash, as much as possible, minimizing the figures variables arising from the bonus. Leonardo, however, would maintain a figure close to 10 million euros to be paid bonuses in the face of a drive from 40 million euros.

Aquilani to the yes, Flamini farewell

Alberto Aquilani is next door to stay at Milan. The termination granted with Liverpool is the first step to revise the former AC Milan in Rome. The midfielder now expects to agree on buonauscita the Reds (3-4 million), and then married - this time permanently - the cause of AC Milan. Simultaneously there are many opportunities to review Mathieu Flamini with the Milan jersey.
