Just wait for the first time Leao gets benched. A 27-year-old player who has never tracked back or pressed defenders isn’t going to start doing it now. If Amorim keeps Leao in the team, he’ll be digging his own grave. I hope they accept €35 million. It’s not much, but keeping him in the squad for another season will end up costing us even more.

The same people who joke about Maldini and trash our players are defending inter players..

Coincidence? :proud:

With Turkish teams you never know though

Offer might be loan for 5, option to buy for 20, and various bonuses for another 7-8

This Osorio guy seems very interesting.

Is this the same guy that we were following when he was still in South America?

Edit: @brk -I should've kept reading 🙈

People who think that we will get a better player if we sell Leao for 30+5m are delusional

Would he want to stay if Man U or Chelsea or Barca was offering 35m? Or would he want to push through a move and be annoyed that the club is refusing to sell at that amount?

How ridiculous is this? 2 months ago..."I've done all i can here and I wanna go".....and now, "changed my mind, I wanna stay (because nobody outside of Turkish clubs want me)".

I know. I’m just saying that if we brought in a manager because of his style of play, then a player like Leao simply doesn’t fit that system, and keeping him in the squad would be footballing suicide. On the other hand, Leao is far too much of a prima donna to ever accept being on the bench

I genuinely cannot believe the reaction a silly joke about inter got. Admittedly it was weak banter but the taking it so seriously is where im confused. Oh well it’s all good in my hood.

On a different note, I’m surprised I’m not seeing more people put off by our striker situation. We’re going to have more games this season, and that rotation behind Ramos is disgusting. One lengthy Ramos injury could single-handedly derail our season right now. I want Camarda to get minutes but I’d want someone else more experienced in that rotation. Maybe they accepted they can’t sell Santi and it will be him? Bleh

It didn’t stop them from doing it before

Leao hasn’t fit in any systems since Pioli. Gerry needs to learn to cut his losses

Maybe not. But we have to think about the functionality if this formation. We brought in this coach, so let's at least attempt to give him the tools he needs for his formation to be functional. We have 3 right footed attackers to play behind the CF. Add Cisse and even Saelemaekers to that group that can step in there. Centrally or wide, doesn't really matter. Thise are details for the coach. But we don't have a single left footed player (no, i'm not counting Chukwueze).

So selling Leao means getting a left footed player that'll fit the needs. Not sure if he'll be a better individual than Leao. But many individuals are not better. That doesn't mean that they won't make the team function better. Leao, individually, is better than most LWs out there. But he doesn't make the collective better. We see this time and time again.

I don't think we should be worried about ramos injury until it happens. We dont have funds for a backup after dropping so much on him. I hope he is good enough to lead the line. We desperately need it. I have faith in our youngsters, they need the minutes more than we need a backup or they just wont develop at all.

35 million will get you a Chickenwueze + Bondo combo. Would rather keep him for another two years and get nothing. At least he's gonna contribute some goals

I respect this thinking but it’s a big gamble for me. Going into a stretch of tough games for a month with Camarda could easily backfire. He does deserve an opportunity too but we need to manage his confidence and expectations. Fans turn quickly on players. We’ve seen people on here before say that teenagers aren’t good enough for not showing it quickly enough. But yeah there’s also a world where he gets like 7-8 goals and grows a lot, I’ll admit that.

I don't think we have many realistic options to not gamble. The season started with a huge gamble with Gerry being directly involved.

The mercato is taking a road nobody expected.

Probably a GOOD offer for Bartesaghi will arrive in the final weeks of the mercato and we gonna buy some promissing kids to sell in the future. I just hope for the best of it.

My suspicion is Villa never made an adequate offer. This “I will evaluate Estu” angle is market posturing.
Yea moretto just used Milan’s name to get more clout.

For 35m it even make sense to keep him as second choice LAM or CF. I rather have him as a super sub than just getting 35m

Shameless piece of shit. 2 months ago he openly put the club in bad situation saying that he is leaving. Now, after seeing that no decent club wants him 'he changed his will'

The fucker really thought City and Real will be fighting for him :lol::lol:

I don't think management wants to pay salary to a sub who is among the highest paid and most marketable that will be setting a level of play they aren't happy with.

On paper, having him as an impact sub is great but the dynamic may not be what coach or management may want for a player of his status within the group.

Should be more like 50m for Leao at least, especially if the rift with the club is seemingly getting smaller.
Leao might suck against the ball but his quality with the ball is practically not possible to replace for us. At least realistically when looking at the market and us being out of CL
whoever is brought in as his replacement will not come close to his chance creation I’m pretty confident of that

The defense contribution can’t get worse but yeah there will be a downgrade in that area 100%

Yes, Maldini is a deity at Milan. :star:
Thank you captain obvious.

The alternative for you would be Zanetti. :proud:

What if he suddenly plays like Rafa of scudetto season?

We would then be able to ask for 70 80 mil. And then sell. Reinvest.

Fair point, but not exclusive to Rafa to be fair, that's a very real danger with Nkunku and even Pulisic (depending on his form trend) as well.
