What worries me about Chuk at RWB is not the hustle, it’s the defensive awareness. Scanning, checking his shoulder, ”bodypositoning”, interrupting runs, etc. I have a hard time seeing a 25+ year old with no previous experience of that learning it fast enough to warrant starting games. He could be a sub when chasing a lead, but that’s it.
Amorim has been very clear in interviews during his career that he plays attacking wingbacks in games he wants to dominate, but reverts to a typical wingback when he's expecting to suffer. So in games like that expect him to use Athekame for example, not Chukwueze.

I think Pulisic might generally be more for the RAM/midfielderish spot but we will see once he is available.
Amorim was very explicit about this. He clearly said he think Pulisic is perfect for the left sided AM position.

Amorim’s ideal set up is having two ball playing DMs sitting in the double pivot. Aided by fast physical wingbacks

AMs up top behind strikers will have to help the midfield and drop deep.

He prefers his AMs to operate like a physical CAM. Kind of like a hakan

A Kessie type player alongside say a Fabian Ruiz in double pivot

With 2 Trinicao type players is what he needs as CaM.

The team is flying back from Asia today, this could help speed up the transfer market from Monday on.

Everyone in the media is picking Inter to repeat because its players know each-other well and their formula has yielded great results. My fear is that they will become the Bayern of Italy or another version of Juve that won a ton of consecutive titles.

Most see Napoli as the closest to merda but these predictions are based on what the clubs look like on paper and there are always surprises like Como finishing 4th, one point ahead of us.

Allegri in an interview on DAZN regarding De Bruyne explained what his role wold be in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 formations that he's been using in the friendlies, mainly the first one. At Milan he was inflexible with his terror ball but working for ADL makes a difference.

When he first got hired I was pretty sure that the two had spoken about tactics, and since Sarri had chosen Atalanta over Napoli they hired the complete opposite which wouldn't have happened unless had agreed on some kind of system.

ADL has made a few mistakes in hiring coaches, (Gattuso, Mazzarri), but is usualy spot on like Sarri, Conte, Spalletti, Benitez. When an owner knows the sport well and has weight and influence in the league it contributes a lot to the club's success. He brought Napoli from Serie C to two Serie A titles, including 2 of the last 4.

Not sure if he forced the change but I suspect they talked about it since Napoli has a ton of offensive weapons.

Unfortunatly with this new era of funds owning clubs that in large part eliminates the human element, the passion of Berlusconi, Moratti, Agnelli, Viola, and others franchises, are now run by faceless automatons.

You mean Mazzarri II or, because his first stint was imo very important for them.

What worries me most about Amorim is that he's chasing some sort of perfection that he achieved at Sporting which may never (or has never) been a real thing.

Even the best 'system' coaches like Pep adapted through the years. Amorim's stubbornness to adapt was his downfall at Man U and it doesn't seem likes he's changed with what he's said with us this far.

Management has clearly also not gone all in on him considering the fact that we've signed two players who could be good under any trainer (hopefully Ramos lives up to his fee). He clearly hasn't gotten the full backing of management because there are massive gaps between what players he needs to succeed with his 'system' and what he has to work with so far.

Hoping for the best, but not feeling confident.

#Maldini to @Corriere: “Technically, we’re a country that no longer produces talented players. Something isn’t working at a systemic level. My sons saw it in the Milan youth teams: it’s all about tactics; if a kid has talent, it’s a problem. But that goes against the rules of modern soccer. And then we have dilapidated stadiums, inadequate training facilities. We wanted to involve everyone to change rules and regulations in the shortest time possible.

What rules? A Pact for the National Teams. Rules that would push Italian players to play in Serie A, B, and C teams. Mandatory investments in youth sectors. Here we no longer know how to defend and no longer know how to attack; we’re slow; and the referees whistle too much.

We need to train coaches in a more modern way.
Today a coach who works with kids between 10 and 14 years old earns a thousand euros a month, has to have a second job. We need to help them, because that’s the decisive age.

I have a regret that I’ll carry with me. I had taken on a heavy commitment that in those days had almost become a dream: to do something for the next generations, to build a competitive Italy. A dream interrupted but beautiful, also because of the many people I had found willing to work. Do you know what Guardiola talked to us about at length?

The impact Cruijff had on Spanish soccer. For two years he was fought by everyone. But if today Spain produces talents, it’s thanks to Cruijff’s guidance. We don’t want to compare ourselves to him. But that was the path. Difficult, long; but it would have changed the identity of Italian soccer.
It’s a shame. A real shame”

According to ********** (via MilanNews), there are a total of 12 players who could part ways with Milan this summer: Tomori, Terracciano, Fofana, Athekame, Odogu, Cissè, Ricci, Estupinan, Gimenez, Musah, Loftus-Cheek, and Leao.

So all the rumours were true.

Maldini wanted to change too much and the Italian dinosaurs got scared.
The Peerlo crisis was just a spectacle to get him to resign.

Maldini was not perfect as SD.
But he was our Maldini.

I wouldn’t have him as SD or working in a role that requires him to build a team but I would always want him to work for Milan. Give him any other c suite role like head of marketing or some shite. But yea. Maldini is Milan.

We are suffering cause he isn’t here.

I would rather lose with Maldini than with bitchindale cock munching phaggot.

I can’t stand the slimy cunt.

The future of Rafael Leão is entering an increasingly hot phase. After being rejected by Milan for the first offer of 30 million plus 5 bonuses, Galatasaray would have no intention of giving up and would be preparing a new assault on the number 10. 🔥🇹🇷

According to what was reported by Orazio Accomando of SportMediaset, the Istanbul club would be ready to push up to 45 million total: 40 million plus another 5 linked to bonuses. A figure decisively higher than the previous one, but still far from Milan's request, which would want at least 50 million euros in fixed part to seriously consider the transfer. 💰🔴⚫

The formula remains at the center of the contacts. The possibilities would be a definitive transfer or a loan with a guaranteed buyout clause. Galatasaray would then want to build an operation capable of convincing Milan without necessarily paying the entire amount immediately. 🔄

And for Leão, a pharaonic contract would be ready: five years for about 12 million net per season, bonuses included, divided into 9 million in fixed part plus 3 in bonuses. 🤑🇵🇹

But right here comes the detail that could completely change the negotiation: Rafa has not yet accepted the Galatasaray offer. The Portuguese player continues to reflect on his future, and the stay at Milan remains an absolutely possible scenario. ❤️🖤

The relationship with Rúben Amorim and the positive feelings shown during the tour could also contribute to changing a scenario that only a few weeks ago seemed headed toward a separation.

Now the economic gap between the parties is decreasing: 45 million against a request of at least 50 million in fixed base. But the decisive word could be given to the player.

🔥 And you, the Rossoneri fans, what would you do in the face of an offer of 40 million plus 5 bonuses: would you sell Rafael Leão or keep him at Milan and try to relaunch him definitively with Amorim? 👇❤️🖤

#RafaelLeao #Leao #ACMilan #Milan #Galatasaray #CalciomercatoMilan #MercatoMilan #RubenAmorim #SportMediaset #Calciomercato #ForzaMilan #SempreMilan #CuoreRossonero #TifosiMilan
This will probably drag on for another two weeks and they will reach an agreement during the last 5 days of mercato, only to spend the amount on 2-3 end of mercato fodder panic buys

A tale as old as time

Out for a walk.
I've really no idea why some of you guys think this summer was going to shed 3/4 of our squad, and with there being better replacements across the board. You fools con yourselves into thinking this every summer, getting mad when your unrealistic nonsense doesn't come to pass.

Especially if the plane makes a few stops to drop off Leao in Istanbul and Estupinan in Birmingham.

Contact with the Manchester City manager went far beyond an initial approach. "With Guardiola we studied the lists of players, starting from the under-17 team and above," Maldini said, revealing that the coach "even began writing out line-ups".

what's with this guy and summer school tasks? Writing a 40-page email for nothing, and now wasting Pep's time with knowledge of players like Esposito and Fratessi

The negotiations between the two sides reached the point of discussing financial aspects too. Guardiola, Maldini confirmed, showed great willingness to take on the task: "Guardiola told us: give me one euro less than what the last coach was earning and I am ready."

Money was never the issue. Maldini stressed that Guardiola "did not refuse because of money", pointing instead to the fatigue that had built up after years of work in England, on top of back surgery. "He was exhausted after ten gruelling years in the Premier League," he said.
:lol::lol: Pep of all coaches refusing money and coming to coach Italy for the feelz while being paid *checks notes* 1.99m euros a season, less than Rino?

How stupid does Maldo think people are?
