I have no idea where Amorim will deploy him, whether on the left or right in wide areas; he's played on both flanks with good balance throughout his career. He started as a pure winger in a front three, then performed and tested himself in a "wing-back" system in France, getting used to defending. But on one thing I was really certain for a long time: he was the only profile that Milan truly needed and that the market offered, precisely because of what I mentioned earlier. They were looking for a 1v1 profile who could cover both flanks—here he is. That's where that post I wrote on the evening of August 10 came from; it was a personal wish. A player with a fiery, cocky personality—it's both a pro and a con; the advantage is not being afraid to attempt the play. As I said, he's a profile that tears through and dribbles, who athletically devours you with explosive power and pace, a "spark" that changes the rhythm of the team's play against a low block. Who becomes lethal in transition with an open field.

This guy also mentioned him last week:

Diego Moreira in Serie A could really smash the matches and break those damn blocks with a barrage of dribbles and swerves. In the realm of "conservative" perimeter play, he was a loose cannon.

If both Fofana and Ricci are leaving, then the squad is short of a midfielder. Even more so if he wants Rabiot behind the striker.

Kind of. We’d still have Comotto and Musah, and Rabiot will still play in midfield since Amorim believes in RLC a lot. It’s not a crisis in midfield. The crisis right now is that we only really have Gila at CB that can play the way Amorim wants.

I want another center back. Sell Tomori and bring us a strong rcb.
Isn't Gila starting there?

I assume the next defender will be in one of the other spots.

As I already explained, @Soldier_of_god, for some unknown reason he seems to have some direct ties to Gerry. He supposedly even had dinner with him after the rumours about Gerry selling Milan to the Steinbrenner family broke a year or so ago, and Gerry apparently told him directly that he had no intention of selling Milan because the club was far too important strategically to his wider business interests – whatever the fuck that actually means.

Kush also got quite a few things right during this mercato. He correctly dismissed several rumours linking us to players we were supposedly interested in, only for the newspapers to come out days later with their usual "sudden brake", "Milan beffato" or some other convenient explanation for why a transfer that was supposedly happening suddenly wasn't happening anymore.

Obviously, there's no actual evidence that Kush has those ties to Gerry – at least none that I'm aware of. But if you put all the clues together, the story does seem to track, and this latest piece of breaking news is probably the strongest indication we've had so far that there might actually be something to it.
We should ban this twitter account as a source and censor their name

They’ll likely still bring in a CB, mid and AM.

Maybe another CF depending what they see in Camarda for this season.

I read that we're talking about involving him in the Santi deal but also read today that he's almost done deal with Roma. personally from the few games ive watched him he looks legit, got a bit of class in how he plays and could be a breakout player in next few years if things run his way. 50m on him while still a lot doesn't seem ridiculous either

was wondering if anyone seen anything saying we have any chance of bringing him in or he's going to Roma

Diego Moreira and the transformation of Milan He is not an attacker to be read solely through dribbling and speed: at Strasbourg, he was a very involved player in the build-up, with 43.2 receptions per 90 minutes, a figure in the 95.8th percentile, accompanied by 0.185 xA per 90, good production of passes toward the box, and about four dribbling attempts per match. His main characteristic is therefore the ability to receive, advance, and create. He covers both flanks well, though showing a preference for the left zone when seeking a finish, even from outside the area. His center of gravity is also further back compared to that of Milan's attackers: an element consistent with a player who participates in the build-up and tends to develop the play before arriving in the final third. It is precisely here that he differs most from Leão, Pulisic, and Nkunku. Moreira produces much less xG and starts from finishes that are on average less dangerous: his xG per shot is just 0.062, while the Milan attacking group sits on values that are clearly superior. Milan is adding an attacker capable of providing volume, connection, and progression. In a squad in full reorganization, Moreira can become a useful element precisely because he allows for modifying the attacking balances without forcing the team to completely change structure and, in the new setup, he could be one of the profiles that facilitates Ramos's expression as a box finisher.

Endrick is very interesting, and bringing him would imply that Camarda isn't that special

We still need an experienced #9 though, having both Camarda & Endrick wouldn't be good for a full season.. someone like Icardi or Embolo would be better

I'd take Guler or Rodrygo from Real if they were available though

You’re right. We need to get rid of Tomori and get another cb though. If we don’t get rid of him, it won’t be the end of the world, but we need new blood. We’re still thin in defense. The latest rumor is a Tomori-tavares swap

My guess would be Endrick would be brought in as an AM. But he’s going to have limited playing time at Real unless someone gets hurt. They have Vini, Diomande and Rodrygo ahead of him on the wings. Mbappe and Espi at forward. Maybe an opportunity at the end of the transfer window.

What fo we actually want?
Buying unproven prospect is gamble especially if he comes from obscure league. Cost ? Maybe 30-40. Will immediately lift our performance probably not.
Buying foder ala fofana rlc for same amount is waste of money, will lift performance also probably not
Bitching about world clas player ala bruno who os exactly what we would need atm, creative experienced player, his salary is to high he aint worth 50 mil? Then who is if not player of his profile? We need quality now not in 5years. Paying for some midtable french league player 40 mil or whatever this strasbur player cost is acceptable but 31 top amd is not worth?

With him even camarda will be scoring.

Bruno would be a cool signing as a bosman like Giroud.

But for 50M they can suck my ass.

Didn't Bruno just break the all time assist record of EPL last season?

I'd take him today even for 50M. Only questionmark is if Rubén is gonna be out of his mind again if he puts him in the double pivot again like he did at ManU.

The 3 players that we have brought in, not counting Diawara, will go a long way in satisfying our wishes that we have profiles fully integrated into the system that Amorim requires, almost the anti-Allegri way to attack and defend.

We need to add a couple of more and then we're ready to party. Ramos was controversial because of the over-pay but after watching him last game is an excellent player that will be of great help to our offense, a finalizer in the attacking third that has good movements and can find space.

Gila and now Moreira's deals are unanimously praised not only by the media but also by this forum where disagreements are the norm. Ramos at 25, Gila near 26, are in the prime of their careers, perfect ages for the present and long term stay at the club.

Moreira 22 but with vast experience will be instrumental for us on the wings, may even get better, and after giving us some solid seasons his price may soar sky high.

These are optimistic takes but there are no serious arguments like many transfers in the past about the quality of the players. Not like Gimenez, El Stupinian, Jashari, (that now looks good), De Winter, RlC. It's basically a perfect market for our needs and if Amorim is the force behind it, deserves high praise. (I will never give credit to Gerry whose involvement is only to sign the checks.
