Hey guys, but you do realize Amorim didn’t say Moreira would play at right wing-back, right? What he said was that Moreira is part of the “attacking five” - il quinto offensivo. That doesn’t mean he’s assigned to one specific position, but rather that he belongs to the attacking five. IMO, Amorim’s attacking five consists of the striker, two AMs, and two wing-backs. So that tells us absolutely nothing about where Moreira will actually play.
In fact, as things stand, I have no idea where a large part of this squad is going to play. Amorim strikes me as the kind of coach for whom each player has a very specific position and won’t really rotate outside it. So in midfield, if Amorim wants to play a regista alongside a DM, he won’t field Jashari and Modrić together - he’ll play an actual DM, even if that means using an out-of-form Musah. The same applies to Terracciano. He’s obviously not an ideal player for Amorim, but he’s so similar to Gila that he’ll stay at the club, even if watching him will regularly make our eyes bleed.
That said, with Estupiñán seemingly closer to the starting XI than Bartesaghi, Chukwueze at RM instead of the Belgian, ******* Loftus in the starting lineup instead of some random fan pulled out of the stands, I honestly have no idea how we’re supposed to play without a significant new AM (if Moreira is a wing-back) or LM (if Moreira is an AM), plus an LCB, where we currently have absolutely no squad depth whatsoever, as this french guy isn't ready to play 1-1,5k minutes this season.
Ceterum censeo RLC has to be sold immediately.
