how you do think things "keep getting better" without people actively working to make that happen? it's not magic, if there have been improvements in the way minority groups are treated it's because those groups fought for them and endured horrific pushback

it's not hard to "find something" to complain about when fans are making effigies of black players and hanging them off bridges while chanting for them to die during matches

it's a concerted effort by fans to make black players feel unwelcome, under threat, afraid, and then when they fight back they get told to quieten down and stop disrupting things

the 90s weren't colour blind anywhere – look at the Rodney King riots
