AC Milan will soon complete the signing of Daichi Kamada and they beat some strong competition to sign him, a report claims.

The Athletic confirm Milan have a verbal agreement with Daichi Kamada, who will join on a free transfer when his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expires at the end of the month.

The 26-year-old was also a target for Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Benfica, while clubs from Saudi Arabia came forward. Kamada even spoke with reigning Saudi league champions Al-Hilal.

However Milan ‘was always the option that he was most attracted to’ because he ‘grew up supporting Milan’ after watching the club’s Champions League successes.

Now, he is expected to sign a four-year contract with the club of his heart and will become one of Milan’s top earners, with just issues over image rights to be ironed out.

Kamada has made 45 appearances in all competitions for Frankfurt this season, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists, and his final game for them will be against RB Leipzig on June 4 in the DFB-Pokal final.

Teams can score in different ways - if you cant cleverly break teams down then you have to score on counters, set pieces or the incessant crossing we tried to do.
We know our issue is poor buildup and breaking down teams, we are also poor at set pieces - these were never in doubt and have always been laid solely at Pioli's feet.

What I have said many times is that there were instances in our matches where we had good attacking spells early in matches or excellent chances on the break where we failed to capitalize on, that in turn led to the poor matches and bad results where we struggled mightily that we saw this season. I think the players and the person who purchased some of those players have to take some blame in that.

There were also other matches where we were horrible right the way through like we didnt even care to be there - that too falls on the coach as his methods werent as effective as last season - that could also be complacency on all of their part after the title.
