Great news. I’m going to ride a positivity high and believe CDK, Vranckx, Adli, and Thiaw all become great players and we add Kamada, Openda, and a couple other ballers to take Italy and Europe by storm next season.

Baldanzi is very talented, I’ll never worry or be upset about the idea of signing talented young players. I can see why someone would compare to Brahim but there are tons of players of that style that grow their games and become really good. Brahim didn’t evolve his game, he is basically the same as 3 years ago in skillset at least. Unfair to just assume Baldanzi at 20 is what he is.

Besides, with Kamada and Baldanzi we’d have more diversity of skillset than we did this season. Two different players for different sorts of situations. Big need for this team is and always will be having different options across the squad. Example would be, Brahim isn’t a horrible player but we shouldn’t have ever had to rely on him that much. Our team was far better when he was an option and not the only option.

Get back to that and team will be a lot better off.

I don't like it, Baschirotto and Orsolini mediocres at best and they are 26 already, Morata and Scamacca are not reliable enough imho, Zaniolo would play RW and CDK and Kamada would play AM and Rebic earns too much for Lazio no way Lotito takes Rebic

Orsolini scored 11 goals 4 assist this season and next season he will be even better. Baschirotto has a very good physique and also long pass. Will be able to fill Kjaer role and play from the back with long pass. Morata is only third option will be much better than Origi, Scammaca deserve a second chance and he has the height that Pioli wants. Honestly dont care what people said because apparently everytime somone posting there is always people unlike but we have to be realistic not all position is going to be fixed within one season and people has to look at the transfer window in a pragmatic way.

Exactly...I'd rather spend 10m+ on a talented kid like Baldanzi who has the POTENTIAL to be great than 8m on Messias who everybody knew was going to be dogshit from the get-go.

Re Brahim, he's a good player but that's about it. He's done nothing special in 3 seasons that warrant management spending 20m on him plus the fact that they needed this long to evaluate him says everything (unlike Tonali, Tomori etc). Time for a change.

I agree with you that we can't fix everything in one mercato, i just don't want spend money on mediocres from Bologna and Lecce who are at their prime being 26, i think we deserve a lot better than Orsolini at RW considering it's one of the biggest need we have. We don't win the Scudetto changing Alexis with Orsolini

Baldanzi is the latest Italian young player that you can just tell he'll be able to contribute in Serie A for years to come. Is that going to be next year or will it take 2-3 years? Who knows. But he reminds me of Verratti, Tonali and Barella. Not in playing style, but just quality in general at that stage of their career. It was the same with all three of them. Talent was there for all to see. There is always that risk that things won't work out. But these are players worth taking a risk on. None of Milan/Inter/PSG regret buying those three. I think whoever buys Baldanzi will also not regret it a few years from now. It also does help that the hype is not quite there yet, so he won't cost what Barella did for example, which makes it an easier risk to digest.

But in line with what others have said, Baldanzi shouldn't be THE signing for our attack. I would look at him as a young squad player for next season. Meaning we still need someone to actually start and take the weight in the next season or two.
