I hope Maldini has a long and wonderful Ibiza trip

This job has aged him a lot

Where did I say that? Cardinale bought the club, he has a right to exercise his vision. Trust me, if he sells our star players and we tank, revenues will tank. He paid full price for the team, not an Elliott situation. He needs to succeed for his investment to be worth anything.

He is objectively the most invested person in this club, this is business, it’s not personal.
Right here:

"yeah, they do. It’s sad but it’s true...'

That’s not your call (obviously)

and if the change provides an improvement, Gerry will prove himself
god you are so stupid, Gerry didn't know milan or football was so popular( it was his own words in the last scudetto celebrations) how the fuck he will prove himself ??? he has 0 experience or money to run a football club.

This hurts.

Even if it turns out to be great for the club, this decision in and of itself hurts.

Emotion is forbidden in business for good reason. Everyone is accountable and GC has made that crystal clear to us all with his first power move as owner. Talk about putting your balls on the block.

It'll soon be known if that play was in the best interest of the club. We can only hope.

From a fan perspective, it is my call.
And from my perspective Maldini(SD) did more for this club than Gerry.

If we don't win, at least the Scudetto next year. This upcoming season is a failure.

I expect a credible CL run, it's a knockout tournament, so anything can happen--I mean look at City and Pep.

But after doing this, I expect excellence. I expect to win. No excuses.

You fire the architect of this team over a single season? Fine. Better turn this team from the Warriors under Mark Jackson to the Warriors under Kerr.

You have to win now.

Elliott got the club for peanuts, they needed the stability and fans behind them. They were able to right the ship, financially, in management and on the field. They also found lightning in a bottle for a season and we won a completely unexpected Scudetto.

The Scudetto was great but it added expectations and our management also completely fumbled the first mercato after the Scudetto. Last year most expectations had us in 3-6 spot, we won it all. That was not a Scudetto winner on paper guys…..

And the 2nd place the year before the Scudetto?? What about that? So far Redshit's record after 1 year is not as good as Elliott's even though they started with a team that was better than Elliott's Milan and with higher revenues and a lower yearly squad cost than when Elliott took over.

You asked if they have the right to turn it into their toy.

They own it and they do have that right. You didn’t present the scenario of them selling off our best pieces for parts. I’ve already laid out how that would be a bad move for them. Less success, less revenue, less value for the club.

The revenue of this club is tied to their success on the pitch. Gerry paid full price, not the Elliott discount.

Real possibility of landing SMS...on what budget exactly?

Sent from my SM-S918B using Tapatalk
I was talking about the possibility of M&M blowing 30m on Arnautovic + RLC and signing Kamada for free when you could just buy Serie A proven SMS for the same amount.

Roger Federer is the GOAT
In an ideal world Pioli is fired, Moncada takes Massara's role, and Maldini decreases responsibility

Oh well hope for the best

Absolute hate how Maldini was treated

This is what I wanted as well. I wanted accountability too, but with the coach.

‘No individual is bigger than the club’ yes but some individuals are bigger than other individuals. Maldini was one of those individuals, he’s our legend and our icon. He did not deserve to be treated this way.

I would have accepted this if he was given a lesser role and he refused and decided to walk away.

Or he simply couldn’t find a common ground with Redbird and decided to walk away.

I would have lived with that. What I can’t live with is the harsh treatment he got.

I really hope for the best and hope things work out, but even if that happens, this treatment of Maldini will always leave a sore taste in my mouth, I’ll still be disgusted with it because he’s our legend and he deserved better.

Yeah it was always gonna be either him or Pioli.

In my case I wanted it to be Pioli, I think he’s the one that failed bigger. Firing both would have been catastrophic.

If Pioli fails again next season he’ll be sacked too

Don’t get those who want the project to suddenly fail btw, get a fucking grip brothers. We are all shocked and many of us are upset, but we should still want Milan to do well and still hope that whatever comes out of this, our club can somehow be better from it. I have low expectations but hoping the project fail because our legend got sacked is not it
I am just sifting through this so I didnt say anything about failing but I need to ask - whats the project?

Who told you about the project, who gave you an inclination about what the project will become?

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
Ibra and Paolo leaving within a day, it hurts.

But people who say they'll not watch Milan anymore are clearly overreacting. For me Paolo is Milan and I don't want him get kicked out like that, but I can and will not stop supporting Milan with all my heart.

To everyone who wants to have their meltdown and insult other people, you can have your fun, won't make your life any better. I'll wait and see what happens next before I judge these changes at Milan.
I’m too invested as a supporter for too long now to stop Milan is more than a hobby Milan is a passion. This is too rash a decision for my liking. Many are accountable for any shortcomings this season. We have all discussed this frequently.
Maldini will be a loss a big loss so too will Massara. I really hope Moncada is up to the SD job and I really hope this decision does not backfire horribly for Milan as a club.

Forza Milan ⭐⭐❤️🖤🏆

I didn’t want Maldini out but all the results you are citing were with the same management group in charge, spending similar amounts. Ownership changed but nothing else really did.

Redbird want the chance to do things their way, they need to perform objectively better but they have the right to try…I don’t like it but it’s the objective truth.

Football is not only business, it is built on emotions, a larger than life theatre... how can you think the opposite after the yesterday farewell for example.
