I wish someone just buy the club immediately and rectify the mistake
And this is where I will remind all that moneyball didnt win - moneyball scaled up with real money behind it did.I don’t think anyone knows.
My best guess is Gerry always wanted Maldini out and to have his own people run the show, based almost entirely around analytics. He couldn’t it do it last summer because we won and starting off by losing Maldini was a hugely embarrassing way to start off. The disappointing performance this season was enough of an excuse to pull the trigger. But overall, I don’t think RB should even be disappointed with the performance this season. CL semis, qualifying (barely) is a good result for them. They made tons of money. I don’t think it has to do with performance.
I also don’t think it had to do with Pioli. They wouldn’t blow up their capital with fans because of Pioli. They made a huge move, one that has far reaching consequences for fan perception. It’s bigger than Pioli.
In my mind the only reason is power, and a difference of opinion about targets. Maldini wants to win now and spend to get guarantees. Investment ‘now’. Gerry wants it slow, keep taking smaller risks and coast with a profit, develop his portfolio of smaller clubs that will feed Milan until we build the stadium and then he can flip the club for a huge payday.
We’re about to turn into a pure moneyball analytics machine. Maldini wanted another direction. They clashed and Maldini had to go. I honestly think this is the only explanation and it was going to happen sooner or later unless Maldini kept winning enough where it was impossible for him to get fired.
fanboys gonna fanboyMotherfuckers even Paolo wouldn't feel this bad about the raw deal hw received. Get over it. Move on.
He is rich. Why do you care?
Let's focus on the club now.
Gerry bring it to us. Let's win the scudetto again and do well in ucl.
I don't think Maldini was fired for incompetence or lack of results. We hit our target. Performance was fine. The issue I think was that Maldini wanted a different strategy going forward than the one Gerry was building towards. One title and a UCL semi doesn't equal back to glory
Maldini was, is and will be icon and legend of Milan but if a job doesn't fit for you...end of story.
Maurizio Zamparini (RIP)You know after you fire enough people it becomes clear who the problem was all along?

I agree. I'm not happy. And this is where I will remind all that moneyball didnt win - moneyball scaled up with real money behind it did.
Will that be in our lifetime? What happens to the stadium plans that seem to be hitting backlash after backlash from the public?
The summer definitely took a big turn.
LMFAOOOOOOI always supported General in his feud vs Qaas. Seeing his reaction to this Maldini sacking was shocking to me. He had a bigger heel turn than Stone Cold at WM17. I am officially in team Forza Qaas and fuck jenny coke now.

Marco GiampaoloMaldini made no glaring mistakes. None. Only with hindsight, can you question some moves. The main one being CDK. Even that could end up as great business.
Pioli made plenty. Unforgivable and ludicrous ones.
He stays and our legend goes.
Please DM what you actually think about this situation. No trollingMaldini built this team as an extension of his soul with blood, sweat and tears. A loyal and dedicated team.
That's why it will be all the more ....
amazing when Gerry sells the hype and cashes in big big big![]()

He talks too much about intelligence for someone who got outsmarted by Limone inzaghithe intelligent footballer comment was a shot at rebic and bakayoko for me.

Jeremy Renner is playing Bruce Buffer in a Netflix film about the famous ring announcers back story... I'm so excited!!!
Guess what it's called...
DB Milan: Only two things left for Cardinale to do. Hang Franco Baresi from the Curva Sud and burn the San Siro to the ground.
We are in good handsI will take it.
Next summer is on me boys.
We eat.

BIG question mark .. at this point nobody knowsAre we selling all players? Media said it last night?
Or we are good now and everything will be ok?
Theo specifically. I was shocked how he agreed to that low salary (for his standard) when he could start for any team in the worldi hope Paolo called the players and told them to calm down and dont punish Milan for it.. if i was Theo id be fuming , same for Leao
I think we know that. Players will be furios for some time. After 2-3 weeks everything will calm down. Thats life and sport. You play for the club not for a one man.BIG question mark .. at this point nobody knows
that one man is not a regular man.. hes the best defender this game has ever seen .. it matters a lot to guys like Theo Especially the way things unfoldedI think we know that. Players will be furios for some time. After 2-3 weeks everything will calm down. Thats life and sport. You play for the club not for a one man.
And I love Maldini alot.
Yes, it is not a level playing field but that also doesn't mean that the person in charge can just do whatever they want. Well they can, but they still have to be smart about it. This does not scream good business decision at all by Gerry. It screams someone who has no idea what they're doing, and how has no idea how the sport works in Europe. So yes it was a terrible decision and he deserves to get shit for it.It’s a fair question and, as a sign of respect to a fellow RnBer, I’ll give you a fair answer.
this has been talked about a few times in the last 30-40 pages
the one big factor that is leading to your conclusions is “Maldini the club legend“ factor
as if that should give Maldini latitude more than anyone else. Like he is almost untouchable
i can empathize with your position. truly
but the other side of the coin is that it literally is NOT a level playing field. He does not have the authority to do whatever he wants. He answers to the board. Gerry has the right to sack him and, there actually may be cause for the sacking.
for me, and I don’t think I’m 100% right as these situations are complicated and how the next year goes will frame this as a good/bad decision… but you take the maldini name out of this and we would overwhelmingly support a sacking of the technical director and coach
weve been through a bunch of shit. The best and only thing we can do is move forward
