Furlani made a statement to Gazetta

June 6 was the day of surprise. The world of football has realized that Milan will continue without the head of the technical area. Furthermore, which will continue with a completely new style and the last line of the press release makes it clear what the two central figures of the new course will be. Stefano Pioli, called American Coach, and Giorgio Furlani, the CEO. "First of all I want to say thank you to Paolo and Ricky and express the gratitude of all Milan collaborators for their significant contribution to the Club in recent years – says Furlani in the Gazzetta -. Paolo was among the greatest players ever and as manager, together with Ricky, he played an important role in achieving our 19 ° championship. Sorry to see them go away". Then the explanation of the decision: "In our club we constantly analyze the most suitable strategies and models to ensure that Milan can continue to progress on and off the pitch, to compete with the leading teams in Europe. The first fundamental element, I always repeat, is, and will remain, football. Precisely with this objective we have decided on an organizational reorganization that leads to the creation of a working group for the technical / sports part". In short, Milan relaunches, promises a future up to par: "Our priority now is to consolidate and strengthen the progress made in recent years, in all the members of the club. Our ambition has not changed, indeed it has strengthened: to be competitive at the top of European football. We are on track, but there is still a lot of work to be done.I hope that our wonderful fans can keep club support intact and constant, and personally I hope to be able to interact with our fans soon, so that they can understand our strategy, to continue together to see Milan grow".

Thank you Maldini for everything. The official statement is so cold it doesn’t do you justice

Thank you for getting Leao/Theo/Tomori/Mike/Bennacer/Tonali/Krunic etc and getting all of them to essentially extend. We wouldn’t have done this without you

I wish you all the best. I’m sorry. You have build up a really nice portfolio as an SD and it’ll be a shame if you retire as an SD. I hope you reconsider and find another club preferably outside Italy to manage.

The way you have left Milan is unacceptable and I will always be furious at that. It’s not fair

Georgayo calls Pioli American Coach. Some y'all are open arms to this soulless conspirator? One who talks without any warmth and charm? You'd abandon family of a near century for this Faglani?

🗣️ Giorgio Furlani to #Gazzetta: "Stefano Pioli is gaining importance, both at Milanello, where there won't be figures like Maldini and Massara present on a daily basis, and in the transfer market. He will provide indications on his needs, like any coach, and will have more weight in the choice of profiles, the type of players to target in the market."

They can’t have it both ways. They showed they trusted Pioli by giving him an extension and a raise so they need to make sure they’re getting him the players he wants or at least replace the players that left with players of the same level.

They were never going to give him the treatment Klopp and Pep get and nobody is asking for that. Pep and Klopp get 100 million euro players. Pioli, by winning the Scudetto, showed that he deserves to be consulted at least. Bare minimum is to replace the players that he relied on the most who left on a free transfer. Kessie and Hakan were never replaced. Two players he relied on a lot. Instead MM threw the money we “saved” by not extending their contracts on a player that doesn’t fit Pioli’s tactics. Even you admit CDK doesn’t fit Pioli’s tactics. Is he a CF, an AM, a RW? We still don’t know.

Pioli had a winning system. Why should he change his tactics to accommodate players MM got him. It should be the other way around. You get players that can play in our current set up. Don’t fix what’s not broken.
Fuck you for making sense.

And they expect to believe its about accountability lol

Pioli is of great importance - the man who has put out some of the most eyesore football this season

Big words from Furlani. Pioli have the power now. And if he makes mistakes he is out
Steve Jobs: “A players attract A players. B players attract C players.”

Pioli is no A player

Except for Kamada, of course. But yeah. Awesome. Can't wait to see Moncada's brilliance.

The man likes Kamada, so I can't wait to see what else he has up his sleeve.

You guys were all busy talking about how average Kamada is and how he's underwhelming, but Moncada, Furlani, and Pioli (and Billy Beane too probably) all approve of Kamada, so can't wait for this summer.
Are you gonna cry all summer ?

Well they’re dumb idiots then. We are AC Milan, not AC Maldini.

The first thing I want to do next season is #PioliIn, I’m so happy he signings worked out and the team is playing well.

I really want Pioli to prove to me that if he has his say, this team can go next level. Pioli has a lot to prove next season and I simply can’t wait. If he proves me wrong I’ll tip my hat off to him and make tribute about him and how he’s on fire and stuff.

If he doesn’t, get him the sack.

If they can find a goalie that's slightly better than Tata, Mike could very well be sold. Rumors are that Chelsea already offered 60+ Million.
Sportiello is not bad. I love Mike but if they can get 70 millions for I'd do it but only on the condition that the money will be used for transfers and not to line Gerry's pockets.

Oh I always thought it went "I like being Corporate America's bitch." ;)

you'd sell your most beloved brothers for profit. Football is family. Soccer is business.
