As always, take it with a giant grain of salt.

The 30M cap doesn't make sense. You could go for a rather "cheap" profile for 25M, but on big wages and maybe no decreto crescita and end up spending more on that player than a 35M investment on low wages and with decreto crescita. Why would the management only allow to go for the player who has a bigger annual "weight" on the squad costs (despite lower fee)? I really don't think that's the case.

What do you mean by cheapness at the highest levels?
Calciomercato.com is a notorious bad source and I was just reporting what they wrote not knowing if it's accurate. As for cheapness, putting such restrictive limits on how much we can spend on transfers and wages limits our chances to improve. I think we need to be more flexible when some good opportunity arises, like SMS. That's if what is reported is true.

If even this forum is now telling me Guardiola is the best then we really are doomed.

Come on. He got incredibly lucky in 2008 that he started to coach a team that had all the best talent in the world.

And in City he could spend as much as he’d like to get the perfect team.

Carlo won a CL with Milan in his first season where they invested. For Guardiola it practically took him 7 season to finally win ONE CL with huge backing and he’s suddenly the best now?

Guardiola is an incredible coach, definitely one of the greatest of all time but calling him THE best when he never really suffered in the teams that he managed is just not right to me.

Has he ever had his team been dismantled into pieces where the owner decided to stop investing? He has came into team that was in disarray?

I’m not saying he should be coaching a lesser team now because given his ability he has the right to coach any teams he wants but I just can’t say he’s downright the best when the circumstances in his coaching career has been beneficial. He never really needed to work his way up and face the early struggles because he was given the keys by Laporta so early in his career.

The worst thing is that United and Chelsea are run by fucking morons so people conveniently use those 2 teams as examples that money can’t buy everything to credit Guardiola’s achievements. If only Klopp’s Liverpool was able to get money to spend like United/Liverpool, we would be talking him as the GOAT and not Guardiola. What a shame. I hate Chelsea/United for allowing this nonsense.
i get your point, i really do but i'm sorry… pep won more CL finals in istanbul than carlo

Give any half decent coach the license to buy players to fit his system and a war chest to invest, they are likely to do well.

Arsenal have spent a lot but many of the purchases weren't tailored to suit the needs of the coach.

Chelsea were banned from investing for a few years.

Man utd are just morons. They are still searching for a proper coach. They tried morons like ole who is such an average player lol who got famous off the one fluke goal he scored.
Then you have Liverpool who were good a few years ago but have just made silly acquisitions that don't fit klopss style and yet they have spent no where near shitty.

So yea Lone ranger shitty will find it quite easy to dominate a pathetic league.

Tottenham lol. They are miserly.

There are far too many to name past & present
Hilarious talking about others doping we most likley doing it ourselves back in the 80's. Especially the late 80's was a freefall especially the use of EPO which Italian doctors were masters. Especially Francesco Conconi the Don of EPO and Michele Ferrari Lance Armstrongs doctor. You do know Italy is elite level doping country. 2016 and 2017 they finished above US Russia and China in the failed doping tables for those years.

Some pages back someone wrote that he wouldn't take any Inter players. Putting hatred and bias aside their midfield is way better than ours: Barella, Brozovic, Mkhitarian, and Calhanoglu. And I wouldn't mind Bastoni and Lautaro Martinez in our squad. Even Dumfreys who play RWB I would use as RB over Calabria. Let's be realistic, we have some top players but Inter has more, that's why they beat us 4 out 5 times and pretty soundly. We have to work hard this summer to close the gap with good transfers while hoping Inter loses some of their big pieces. Skriniar will be gone but Darmian has done an excellent job replacing him after the long injury. Barella, (one of my favorites, wish he was playing for us), and Lautaro would be devastating losses for them.
If there was a team objectivity here I'd be on it.

He won CL with 2 clubs that are under investigation for cheating, corruption and financial doping, needed to spend 2 billion to finally win a CL with this stacked city squad.

Debate is over? You wish

Real Madrid last season or Liverpool 2019 CL titles are far far more impressive.

yes and the other half are good, so in ideal world you work on your defects and improve it. like you give more power to select the targets for Moncada or add a process where multiple approvals are expected to confirm targeting a player, you don't turn down the house and lose your only charismatic legend you have onboard and become unable to compete even with midtable teams who can pay the same salary as you are.
The trend wasnt encouraging since he took full power.
There was also no signs that he will get back to how he begone leading a team rather than a one man show.

I saw Di Marzio say Napoli's next coach might be Paulo Sosa

He was Adli's coach at Bordeaux and was rumored to be bringing him to Salernitana next season

Wonder if we Adli at Napoli next season
paulo sousa also coached my hometown club, doesn't mean he'll poach players from there

i don't see any reason giving adli to our competitors, doesn't make sense

he's either loaned to mid-bottom serie a team or stays (i believe that's his will since he refused to be loaned out during the winter)

Imagine not thinking Guardiola is the best manger of all time, when he made the premier league a one-team league.. A league in which the relegation teams can easily spend 100 million + on transfers.

Mind you ac milan and inter can’t spend that

“He can’t do anything without money”.. well chelsea spent historic 600, SIX HUNDRED million just to end in 12th.

Also I would understand if the players bought was already world class players, but none of them were. The only class player that all top teams wanted is Haaland.
Notice that no one will mention another coach because any excuse will be debunked.
It used to be Klopp who became Flopp.
Carlo spend 200mil less than Pep & just got a 4-0 haircut.

You guys are too obsessed with what is happening at other clubs

How you gonna convince yourself that inter is over after last nights performance?. You been saying the same thing for 2 years nonstop and they keep proving you wrong every time
I wonder if at FIF there are dedicated users who analyze and scrutinize our financial performance as well

26 year old striker whose peak is at gladbach so far… don’t know whats so proven about him
well proven in a top 4 league and probably better than most of our alternatives. he's not a world beater and pretty overrated here but we also won’t invest heavily in a new CF.

the CF market is dry as fuck, at least thuram allows us so spend the money on other needs (chukwueze for RW and a CM). he's entering his prime years now and has the tools to succeed in padre's system. would be a smart signing.
