Can someone be kind enough to predict our CL list basically?

Who will miss out based on numbers?
GK: (1) Maignan, (2) Sportiello, (3) Mirante
D: (4) Calabria, (5) Florenzi, (6) Tomori, (7) Thiaw, (8) Kalulu, (9) Kjaer, (10) Theo, (11) new LB (now it's FBT)
M: (12) RLC, (13) Musah, (14) Reijnders, (15) Pobega, (16) Krunic, (17) Adli
F: (18) Chukwueze, (19) Pulisic, (20) Giroud, (21) Okafor, (22) Leao

Home Grown (2/4 - so we lose 2 spots): Calabria, Pobega
Country Grown (3/4 - so we lose 1 spot): Sportiello, Mirante, Florenzi

Due to having only two HG players and just three CG players, we'll be eligible to register just 22 players out of 25.
If new LB were italian, we'd acquire one more spot, for CDK (for now)

Adli is likely to leave, CDK will take his place. New LB will be Italy grown likely

The fact that some of you want donnarumma at juve or inter just so you guys can officially hate on him.

Ridiculous 🤣

It’s like you almost want them to fail. Imagine my shock.
I hope they succeed. Doubtful that both will.
How many American players have done well on big teams?? Not many.
Just highly skeptical

Hojlund sounds like haaland. Both from same region of world.

Price is ridiculous. Atalanta took them to the cleaners. I can see Charles having success there. Gasperini will use him like Illicic.

100%. Such an important part of building up the play when you have someone you can trust. What's more is, they're looking for him but he's always looking and demanding for the ball. Doesn't stop moving to get himself into space and trusts himself to handle pressure. CDK (amongst others) often prefer to hide, like as if he's afraid to get the ball because he might fuck up.

Just wish we had one more confident and spatially intelligent midfielder to pick up the slack.
I completely agree with all the posters describing CDK’s propensity to go missing in midfield postions, and I would like to add that he isn’t a midfielder. Lets imagine Giroud as a 10 and wonder how that would play out.

Pulisic is definitely the closest to a star signing since we got Giroud.
Excuse me sir, @brk will have something to say about that.

Well, with Musah wrapped up, I expect him to play Kessie-like role here, not exactly holding midfielder, more as ball-winning midfielder or most likely box to box.

What really worries me at this point is that we need a Van Bommel type of DM, destroyer with good ball distribution and physical presence. This kind of player allows the other two MCs to move freely forward.

Or, as Pioli tries to learn from Guardiola with his fullbacks moving to midfield positions when in possesion, we could use an extra CD to help the midfield (Kalulu rings the bell, imitating the Stones position in CL final).

We need to see what the idea is, but generally, the midfield is the part that intrigues me the most. We had a more stable defense once Kessie was on the field, providing support to CDs, something that Bennacer/Tonali couldn't do as effectively.

So far we have the following (in order of the likeliness to start in the position):

GK: Maignan - Sportiello - Mirante
CD: Thiaw - Tomori - Kalulu - Kjaer - NEW PLAYER
RB: Calabria - Florenzi
LB: Theo - NEW PLAYER
DM: Bennacer - Krunic
MC: Loftus Cheek, Reijndeers, Musah, Pobega
RW: Chukwueze - Pulisic - Saelemaekers (?) - Romero
LW: Leao - (Pulisic ?) - Okafor
ST: Giroud - (Okafor ?) - Colombo

With Rebic gone, this means I expect the following to leave as well:
Vasquez (joining Sheffield Wednesday), Ballo-Toure (Bologna), Caldara, Adli, Messias, CDK, Origi, Lazetic

To address the remaining, we absolutely need the following (ordered by priority as I see it):
1. starting DM material (Van Bommel type of player - Tchouameni loan ?; or some with potential to take over as Federico Redondo ?)
2. backup LB (preferably Italian; low-cost transfer or loan; Parisi would've been nice for 12M)
3. young backup striker with starting potential; powerful striker type (Veliz ?)
3. 5th choice CD (low cost Moncadaesque solution)

It's not money coming out of Gerry's pocket. It's money that the club generated and can spend. We've talked about this many times.
This is simply untrue? We only made 13 million in profits? Where did the 47 million come from?

I think some people have a hard time understanding the difference between revenue and profit? Perhaps that is it.

I have to admit the current management moves pretty quick.

Rebic officially off our books.
FBT, Messias, Salad, CDK, Origi now.

We made many moves but, still, so much work needs to be done.

Unbelievable stuff after a scudetto winning season and a CL semi final.

Maldini Massara and (to a point) Pioli fucked us really bad.

What's up brother? Are you enjoying the mercato?
With caution. Love the profiles, all interesting. Reijnders the most interesting so far.
But winning the mercato doesn’t arouse me as I see it’s the case for most. It’s usually the biggest trophy of the season.
I don’t like wholesale changes.
Despite great profiles arriving, I don’t trust the coach’s ability to find the right combination of players or the right roles to make the best team we can…especially in the most important part of the field..Midfield.

I can’t wait for the season To start though…doing great or not, I need Milan (official) games on a regular!
