You think so? I thought he was 7-8 out of 10 for maybe 7 years.. starting from late Lazio career until late Juve career, from around 2000-2007

Kaka's peak was 2004 - 2009 so that's 5 years.. but he was a 9/10 player during that time.

Come to think of it, Kaka is "obviously" the better player. I think Nedved was also a great player (albeit a real Juve douchebag) , he was well-rounded, more of a CM than a pure AM or SS which is what Kaka was
Actually Nedved's peak started earlier and probably ended earlier than what I wrote. He was already a key player for his NT at Euro 96 but that wasn't his peak yet. His peak started from when he joined Lazio and ended towards the end of his Juve career, maybe 2005 or 2006. I have to admit that I didn't watch him play for Lazio. I think it also holds weight that he was selected to deputise Zidane at Juve and he did an excellent job at that.

The banter won't stop for years if Pinter are let to win CL with players in main team that even Milan doesn't envy

But they do matter

We would have been greater if we didn't choke vs Dinamo Zagreb in the group phase.

During the scudetto year we didn't pass the group phase.

I'm going to exaggerate your logic to make a point:

Let's say team A finishes the season as UCL losing finalists, and second place in their league by just 1 point margin and they have a +90% win rate for the entire season .. and team B wins the CL on penalties, and qualifies to the final on penalties mostly, and ends the league in relegation... you think that team B is greater than team A in that case?
I can use that strawman logic too. dominating the league but failing to win crucial games in ucl which basically just displays poor mental toughness. Pressure games is what matters. They create winners. They failed 7 times.

Like I said. They are great finalists. Great losers. That’s all it is.

What is the point of dominating the group stages etc only to end up losing when it matters. No one celebrates second place finishes?

The year we won scudetto yes we were poor in ucl. So we obviously weren’t the best side

We benefited by playing less games.

Rube bombed out of ucl plenty of times cause they were shit, which allowed them to focus on the league. A corrupt league where every decision largely favours them.

Win% is a pointless metric if the number of ucl wins are not the same.

So Pioli and Ronaldogoat crashed out in Asian CL to japanese farmers. Hmm...
Japanese are good at football though
They are not scrubs like Italians and arabs

They are easily top 20 team in the world.

J league is quite good. Stop underrating japs.

They could probably fuck up some of the top ucl clubs.

WTF

I doubt Juve weren't going at it full tilt. It's just they genuinely didn't have the CL quality we had.
Also all the ref/league shenanigans didn't benefit them in a real competition

Am I wrong here?

Sorry, not what I meant earlier
I meant they were shit so they bombed out early out of ucl, which helped them focus on the league and win.

I want to emphasise the point about them being shit in the ucl.

I saw that match live

Too bad I didn't understand what was happening ... I don't understand football :b:
I’m certain you know a lot more about football than this guy.

it’s a toin coss between them

history is more on juve side while liverpool caught up in the last decade
Winning 9 scudetti in a row is quite an achievement and should be considered along with their two CL titles and their losses in the finals. In the past UCL didn't have the prestige that it has today but Juve still has the most fans in Italy, over 8 million according to Transfermarket with Inter at 4.1 and Milan at 3.8.
Internationally is different but domestically among other things Juve has produced the most players for the National squad and the trend continues.

They're also quite popular internationally.. there's always a guy wearing a Juve shirt in recreational matches, usually he's the biggest cunt on the pitch. I also see their damn logo on bumper stickers on cars.

They just have their own particular style. Not as flashy as other clubs. It's more of a serious, professional image that they portray. Winning by any means necessary, they embody the core of Italian football. Very machiavellian.

Oh I really hope I do. I'd throw myself into the nearest dumpster if I didn't
I think we both know you’re safe in knowing you are highly knowledgeable of the game you love and the club you love. Sadly we cannot say the same for Gerry.
One of the best days of my life, I remember the whole day, it unfolded like a Guy Richie film
What a game it a was a tactical chess battle of epic proportions. But the finale 👌

Not an achievement when it was achieved by fraudulent means

So no not really

But I do respect their management. Their attitude. win by any means.

Ucl is and always was more prestigious.
Past present and future. Ucl is far above any league comps. Always was. Always paid more too.

Rube can shove their fake scudetti up their arseholes. We will keep the ucls

Having said that, we need to look at dominating the league first tbh. Last time we had a stronghold in serie a by winning consecutively was in early 90s.

As corrupt as the league is, we need to find an SD that can take us back to that level of dominance. So we ideally need a crooked son who is ruthless.

More than a coach, we need a marotta.

Thanks for the affirmation. I was starting to believe that Chelsea should be in that top 10 euro club list and that Scaloni is already among the top 5 coaches of all time :proud:

Yes, that entire season was like magic , we defeated Madrid, Dortmund, Bayern, Ajax, Inter and Juve along the way. It was a fully deserved victory after a period of underachievement.

I dont get your logic

First you say that Juve's scudetti shouldn't count because they were achieved by fraudulent means, then you recommend for Milan to go through such measures to return to the top?

Make up your mind man
