How about criticizing him and management when the dust fully settles on the season. When results are tallied and we can actually say "This season was a monumental failure".

Why before a Cup Final?

I swear these journalist claiming to be Milan fans are fucking bullshit clickbait opportunists. They are no Milan fans.
Half this forum I'd question about being actual fans lol...

Football is a business, journalists earn a living talking shit...

The age of loyalty and self respect are in the past some might argue.

When you have a tsunami of former Milan legends giving opinion and passing judgement on our situation, before the seasons end... Does it hold less weight because there's still 3 games to play?

This season has absolutely been a failure!!!

You have watched games? You have read the stories? This isn't a poor season where we were hard done by. Management fucked up.

Did you watch the 125th Anniversary game? Did you read the words of so many greats?

We're in a bad place and it's yet to be seen how we get out of it with Gerry in control?

This line defines Milan, this club is simply a different from everything else, the most mythical club in the world

Careful with that sort of anti-redbird hate speech...

In their prime, who is better;

Sheva
Drogba
Etoo
Ibra
Van nistelroy
Henry
Adriano
David villa
Rooney
Raoul
Shevchenko is the only correct answer.
He was #2 to Ronaldo at his peak.
There's NOTHING anyone in the list above has over him to a noticeable degree....except for Henry's pace. (I guess Eto'o was faster too)
Adriano's peak was up there with Sheva and Henry but it was much too short at the top level.

If I had to list them it would be (only peak form considered):
Sheva
Eto'o
Henry - Mainly because he won everything. Would be lower if he didn't
Drogba
Adriano
Raul - Never as great outside Madrid
Rooney - Not really a super goal scorer
David villa - Great player, benefitted from his team more than was the front man
Ibra - No CL/ Not a big game player for most of his career
RVN - No CL. The most limited player on the list.

We all know that the team are underperforming and in a bad place.
We aren't dumb, deaf or blind.

Now answer the fucking question, why publish this before the Cup Final?
What the fuck does that do for the team?

I'm bookmarking this post....because...you know...reasons 😇

They're playing in Ecuador against the team with the most clean sheets and less goals conceded

Good luck to the old man to try to open that defense up (no homo)

This is a good ass list bro, only person I'd change is Drogba and Henry.

Drogba could play as a pivot upfront and the mf was a big game player. Name another player who would score a header last minute against Bayern in the GK's face. :proud:

We need a Roma win, yes?

Ice cream baby strikes again (or doesn't, more accurately)

I believe it was @Wild that said at the time, the guy couldnt score it even with a hooker, hilarious

@jawz10 where are we on the "gonna win a trophy with a major EPL team" timeline now?
I dont recall saying he'd win a trophy with a major EPL team, just that he'd be sold to one... I could be mistaken. Tho he is streaky AF the Prem-faces don't really watch Serie A, so the hype is still strong.

So needy and demanding...

How am I supposed to know why now?

I have asked, was he asked questions? Did he answer them? Did he release this all specifically to destabilise the powers that be in Milan?

I'd argue some are dumb, deaf and blind...

Boban or Longoni? :taphead:
Honestly don't have issues with Zvono doing the interview.
This release time is dumb as fuck though, Longoni is an idiot trying to destabilise the team on the eve of a Cup Final. And he dares call himself a Milan fan?

Did I? Even in the post you quoted I literally said these suits have zero love for the club either and don't deserve my sympathy. That’s not defending them, that’s calling it what it is.

I’ve criticised this management plenty. It’s all there, just scroll. I’d like to think my stance is fairly nuanced. But apparently that’s not enough anymore – you're either waving the Redbird flag or you’re a club legend ultra. No in-between.

Truth is, I’m deeply frustrated. This season has been mismanaged from top to bottom. And what worries me even more than the results is the growing disconnect between the fans and those running the show. It’s not just about losing games, it’s about the way this management carries itself. Cold. Distant. Arrogant. That Christmas dinner disaster said it all: players and coach sent through the front like scapegoats, while Furlani and friends snuck in through the backdoor. That’s cowardice. I already said that many times tho.

As for the new SD role, my gut says they’re going all-in on D’Amico and falling back to Tare if it doesn’t happen. Maybe that’s optimism talking. Tare would be a solid choice, but if we wait until June just to settle for Plan B, we’ve already wasted two months. Again.

I could go on. There are concerns on every level – sporting, structural, strategic. But I won’t relist every single one in every single post just to make sure no one accuses me of "choosing sides". Because honestly? I haven’t. I’m not on anyone’s side. I’m just tired of watching this club hurt itself over and over again.
Great post, as always.

You have one of the treasured minds on this forum. The kind that we like to see think.

I don't quite understand your development. Okay, delving into critical thinking over the Maldini period, and phenomenon in here - I get it. It deserves it. What I don't get is the mental gymnastics that eliminated Paolo and Zvone as real forces of Milan? Why?

We are at the mercy of the alternative. What many missed from the Boban interview is what he said which was actually very positive, and in opposition to even the most rosy view in here - that the team, from a technical perspective, is close to Inter parity. That takes pondering, that's also a nod.

How anyone of sentience or intellect could oppose the criticism of Milan as a poorly led sporting venture, I really struggle. You've sort of "joined" people on this forum in opposition to Maldini, Boban, romanticism etc, but I fail to see how we create a winning society without soul and leadership.

All the best.

Considering we are currently 8th place, I'd say that was pretty much proven already.
Why make it even worse for the team?
Do you honestly think comments in the paper by a guy known to have a beef with management, dissing management, is going to have any affect on things?

Seriously?

And are folk supposed to say complimentary things just now?

Sure it's great we're in the cup final, but a win in it only papers over our issues.

I honestly don't get the annoyance at Boban saying what he's said.

mental midgets. every matchday we write how this team, management & organisation is. in most games matches going fans are whistling/booing the team, mngmt & organisation. famous old player says the same & the sky falls.

its not as tho the guy is lying... ppl working for this club are wank, at every level.

thats harsh! he moved from Real in his mid 30s... thats the age most players go into semi retirement (US or other lowly football country) Raul went to Germany and did reasonably well. & he was a player n a half in his day... no matter the star bought by real, Raul wud always keep his place in the team
