on the same note, i love the narrative of "an italian club winning is good for the whole of Italy", even supporting inter and juve (even shittier club) to justify serie a getting more recognition.

real Madrid has claimed the CL as their own. is anyone tuning in to see villareal vs. real betis as a result? or is la liga a dead tournament.

having inter win will do nothing, nothing but elevate their own personal status and liquidity, and as we clearly see, gerald doesn't know/care about personal serie a rivalries.
having inter win will not alert anything in the ownership, maybe an ibra motivational speech (and he seems to have lost all passion for the club as well).
Italy doesn't care about Milan, gives us the shittiest treatment with refs fucking us over every game, not wanting us to build a stadium, postponing games like with bologna how they please, and we are supposed to cheer an Italian club? No thanks

Play without pressure

The guy is at an historically prestigious club, is the top earner and still want to play without pressure

Anyone thinking this lazy bum will be ballon dor level is either delusional at best or acting in reverse racism at worst
I have a feeling he actually did not find any joy in all this shit and he was under a lot of pressure.

Roger Federer is the GOAT
what has davide calabria has done in his career as so he is not justified to recieve spite/grudges?
do we even know what happened behind the locker rooms? Is leaking information not susceptible to dislike by the managerial staff since it actually reflects bad on their ability and control the club and team?

surely the players themselves wouldn't care, he was just their teammate. didn't personally harm them.
conte is throwing his players under the bus, btw. gasperini as well. publicly.

yes, a coach shouldn't have vendettas, but at the same time sergio is an authoritative figure by nature (many saw it as an upside, as so he would finally bring theo & leao into discipline). The negative side of a controlling/authoritarian figure is in him being emotional and not "the bigger man", for better or worse.

Yeah and people hate/criticise Conte and Gasperini for what they have done lol.

Secondly, is there any proof that Calabria has leaked stuff? Or is it just nonsense perpetrated by fans that have an agenda?

Cause the lineups have been more or less correctly predicted after a couple of months? Maybe there was another leak?

Blaming amerikkaaa when it was them who saved the club from bankrupcy and further financial penalties after the decade of mistreatment by the Italian or the disastrous season of the Chinese is hilarious to me

Italy international full-back Calabria, who was replaced as captain by France goalkeeper Mike Maignan earlier this month, brushed off the incident as being a "dressing room matter" while Conceicao cryptically said "if your kids are behaving badly, you have to act".
not stated outright, but calabria supousdely caused shit and behaved unprofessionaly, especially as a Milan captain.
That probably has to do with the lack of repercussions for the squad for years, especially under kind uncle pioli.

Which is why I am saying again, condemning Conceicao for holding grudges and judging him to his worst (while maybe there was concrete reasoning for his lack of hospitality) while vindicating and giving the benefit of the doubt to calabria outright is hypocritical.

Let's view this in a different way. If management saw Davide as a pillar of the team, an untouched Milan captain (even for the lists), surely they wouldn't have booted him out a month into a new coach's regime just because the coach asked, no?
and a 6 month try before you buy coach like Conceicao at that.

All this is really irrelevant

You’re again missing the point. Their beef ended, Calabria went to Bologna.

Ergo it’s time to bury the hatchet.

The fact that Conceicao is holding a grudge months later is looks bad on him cause it’s clear Calabria moved on from whatever issues happened at Milan.

So yeah, nothing justifies Conceicao ignoring Calabria yesterday.

Its Sports Psychology jargon. Processes and outcomes and all that shit. Its to free the mind. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. And sometimes the players (in other sports also) literally take it the wrong way and think it gives them an out on decision making due to its the way we play.

It was around minute 83-85.....we had a corner and the ball went out to Walker. Don't remember now if it was a short corner or if it got sent back out to him from the initialy cross.....but either way...this motherfuker looked up and saw 7 Milan players in the box. Every single big boy was up there waiting for a cross. AND, he just looked back down and passes the ball back. What the actual fuk????? What is wrong with these players!?!?!?

Yes, this resonates with my observation. The smile, the smirk he wears in matches are merely a technique, a tool to cope with the pressure and unhappiness. We would frequently see him smile at the most awkward moments ever. Those moments always strike up a question in my head "what is this guy trying to hide?"

He would go from smiling to sulking in a few minutes. The mood swings are insane, almost too much fluctuation for a competitive athlete.

Thing is, the more he tries to keep it under control, the more turbulence it brings.

Then there was the give and go where he wouldve been wide open in the box to cross or shoot and he just stops and the ball rolls out.

Absolute waste of a transfer
