No players should be sold or purchased before appointing the next SD and preferably a new coach.

You can’t expect a chef to prepare a signature dish if the ingredients are chosen without their input.

Obvious fodder players like Origi and maybe RLC or Emerson, yes you can. The likes of Reijnders, Leao or Theo or Mike or Pulisic, or even Thiaw, let the new football people decide.
Fucking sell sell sell and give the new guys a cleaner slate.

Then assess and see what's actually needed... Or buy opportunities and struggle with knowing our starting 11 for the formations we want to play. That's worked for us so well...

I'd offload a chunk of players and regroup before buying.

But we do kinda need a SD and manager appointment sorted lol.

Really bro? Really?

Probably early onset dementia too. You might need to get yourself checked before it’s too late.

So our long term strategy and plan is based on, erm, see what others do, mixed with hope???

But we lost, so now need to rethink the management option / decision... While bring not further forward with a SD that might dictate our coaching choice?

We're grasping at straws trying to find a solution and are not even getting paid for it. Everybody has a say on what's the best option because we want Milan to win on the field of play more than anything. I feel as if we're in limbo, purgatory, while waiting for the big boys to decide our future, the same folks that led us to disaster who we should now trust to do better.

If we sell Leao we are completely fucked. We need to get Leao (and Pulisic to a lesser degree, despite shooting penalties he wasn't always convincing either) back to speed and focus on defense.

Being so concerned with attack is the original sin of Milan. That amount of focus is much better spent on the other side of the pitch, especially with this being the most consistent problem.
^ This.

People always think - "let's replace our best players".
Why not replace our shittiest players?

Who is gonna play on LW if we sell Leao? Okafor coming off of his loan?
Who is gonna replace Theo? Terra-fucking-ciano?

If you wanna prove "how shitty Theo apparently is" - buy a player who is good enough to bench him.
That would be an awesome sight to see, right? :proud:

You're leaving something very important out about what Chelsea did.

They sold a lot of their academy graduates for pure profit. About 300-350m since 21/22. We can barely sell our first team players let alone some twinks from the academy

Careful now with that sensible take on things bro, you'll confuse people...

Selling your shittiest players, what sort of crazy revolutionary thinking is this?

Leao and Theo are at the heart of all Milan related issues, sell sell sell.

Hopefully some change is coming..

Gerry bought Milan in a position where the club was trending upward and now he let it trend backwards again. If you start selling off the big name players in addition to no CL then the club loses more appeal. He owes money to Elliott and if Milan/Inter get to buy San Siro he has to find more money to pay for that and buy the surrounding land as well. That’s why I’ve said the idea was never to actually build the new stadium. Once the city approves purchasing San Siro and the land, he’s likely out. Owning San Siro may add a few hundred million to the value of the club.

Everything points to something possibly happening at some point this summer. Gerry hasn’t been seen or heard from all season. All contract extension have been put on hold. Short term deal with Sergio and the January arrivals (besides Gimenez). If a SD and coach aren’t in place by shortly after the season then I think they are waiting for the new investors or new majority owners. The investigation into the club should be wrapping up as well. The money is in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc. No American is going to buy Milan now unless you convince someone like Musk or Bezos who have money to burn.

So what? Elliott continues to own the club. Their human Furlani makes operational decisions

Cardinale is just a talking head, and a stupid head, too, since he decided that building a stadium in Italy is the same as in the states, and running a club of Milan's caliber can be done according to baseball patterns.

So he's also a coward here, afraid to show his nose in Italy now
I was being sarcastic

And not redeeming walker, the saviour of our rightback spot, lol... What a fucking mess they made in that position.

At least Calabria would have been an okay and cost effective back up... But no.

Yeah, I agree. But the reality is that our so-called best players didn’t show up when it mattered this season. Theo and Maignan were among the biggest letdowns in the Champions League, and Leao remains as inconsistent as ever. That’s always been the case.

I’m not saying they should be the first ones to go. There’s enough deadweight in this squad that deserves to be cleared out before we even get to them. But I also don’t think they’re irreplaceable. In fact, they’re far from it. The things they’ve done this season, on and off the pitch, are the kind of episodes that top clubs might deal with once in a decade. We had several of them in just a few months.

That lifeless and uninspired performance in another final last night only reinforced the point. Building the project around them keeps backfiring. They’ve lost my support, just like Gerry and the people running the club.

Of course, selling them only makes sense if we have the right structure to replace them properly. And with the current chaos at the top, that’s a massive risk. That’s why, before any major sale happens, the club needs to fix the management first. If they don’t, I’m afraid this decline will only continue.

Why can't these fuckers ever sell the club during spring? It's always concluded midway through the summer transfer window.

Cardinale, Furlani.. all of these fuckers

They are jealous to the bone marrow of Maldini
They probably hate hearing the name now that's for sure.

I think just after they fired him they thought they could easy replicate and better the successes that he was having.

I'm not saying Maldini was perfect but, our overall trajectory despite minor setbacks was an upward one.

I'm not in the room but, if you're a player, coach, a sporting director for another team or anything that has do with football/soccer at this level, there has to be a MAJOR difference when Maldini calls and Furlani is calling to ask/inquire about something.

He has previous relationships with these people, has played with, for or against many of them and they respect him IMMENSELY...and holds more PULL and INFLUENCE on just about everyone in the world of football/soccer than Gerry and whoever he brings in will ever have.

For a company/ownership to throw that pull and influence away is the height of arrogance, stupidity and mismanagement.

Good, bring the boy home... If we're doing banter again I want to see the guys enjoying BBQs to lighten the overall mood.

Or we could use Adli properly and implement passing and ball retention more, in a more attacking way... Crazy I know.

Gerry has a small ugly joke of a penis and accidentally saw Paolo's penis at the headoffice toilet stalls, Paolo's is magnificent obviously... The rest is history.

Leao is an idiot who isn't fit to be the main guy in a Milan team . It's so painfully obvious - just because he does a few things well In a game doesnt take away from what a huge liability he is for 88' of every game. I cant remember any "main guy" for a team that is sooooo poor at so many aspects of the game and doesnt show any willingness to improve..
It's sad that you are such a big Milan fan but are blind to his mediocrity.
Its ok, I dont blame you for not being smart.. some people just born with low iq
I don't think he is an idiot and I don't think we should get rid of him...but I agree with you we need another player or two who are better players than him who can lead. Who are leaders!!!

The weight is too much for him to carry by himself.
