Santi lmao
This is why I was so dubious about this transfer but still he needs time.

Serie a is the most physical league. One more season
Don’t want another cdk deal happen to us.

Don't worry

Nobody will ever be able to match cdks glorious record at Milan.

It's up there with Goofy Ronaldos 1 season at Barcelona

Origi, CdK, Vranckx, Thiaw.

Renewed Pioli and literally built midfield around Krunic

Or just the SD, we are told competence trumps all

Hard truths indeed
I don’t disagree I was more so referring to the bigger picture after winning the scudetto in terms of Theo and Leaos decline

I'm not mad or surprised that we gave up two goals so early or that our come-back resulted in a draw, a score that doesn't help either team. To the neutral observer it was a very exciting match because of the many chances to score which the magnificent saves of De Gea and Maignan prevented while our defense continues to be a disaster and gifting the ball to our foes. Palladino said that it's been years since he's seen such an exciting game even though he lost a two goal lead.

Read that it's been 27 years since a defender has given up 3 own goals in one season, record that Thiaw can break since there are still 7 matches left. Tomori's return has not been a good one, so he probably won't be back next season. Theo was totally outplayed by Dodo, one of my favorite RBs that I wish was playing for us over a finished Walker. Fiorentina had 2 goals annulled, including a superb long shot not given because of an earlier foul from a different player, but they were the more deserving overall.

Fiorentina is so much better than us in midfield and striker, A trio of Italians with Fagioli-Mondragora-Casale with the first that was exceptional, a better passer than all of ours put together that has taken the starting job away from Adli. Quick, precise, and crisp like the across the field one that initiated the first goal. Kean looked dangerous every time he touched the ball and couldn't be contained by our CBs. One of our posters recently opined that he would take him for 20 million which is a pipe dream. Kean has scored 17 in the league and has a release clause of 52 million that some EPL club will offer. Commisso said that Kean and Fagioli our untouchable but doubt if he's able to keep the striker.

We are what the record says we are and making excuses for our players won't change the fact that we're barely over mid-table. So the next 7 matches I will be watching for entertainment purposes only, won't stress over results or ref's decisions but just enjoy the sport.

Concecaio is also dumbass. Why do you keep starting Musah only to embarrass him with 1st half subs? And any moment they had after Jovic scored he took it all away with those subs of Felix, Bondo and Chuk.

Conceicao is an idiot

Playing Musah it’s all on him.

Even Pioli and Fonseca didn’t play that moron that much but he’s obsessed with Musah and then subs him before the 25th minute, it’s crazy

There was two, one in the box, one just outside, it's insane how he got away with both.
But it’s Leao so R&B won’t complain 😍
I have no idea how the first push wasn’t a penalty and the second wasn’t a free kick

but

Narrativers gonna narrative :proud:
Also….

a coupl of nice sprints and good moves in the second half and Theo is forgiven huh?

Bruh, I “hate” Leao but this is a crazy take.
Theo showed flashes - running forward and blazing shots while getting roasted defensively 🥱

We sure love chasing coaches to improve these players like a gambling addict chases longshots to get out the hole.

Guys I dunno.. I think we should keep Jovic.. He has far more ability than just being a fox in the box. He uses his body marvelously well. He's intelligent and most importantly he scores...

Always thought Jovic to be most complete and 'able' striker amongst the ones that we have. He actually knows what to do with the ball and does the simple and straightforward passes and then get into space.
He was great when playing with Rebic behind Haller.

If not for his fitness and health issues, would have locked him down as at least 2nd striker for next season.

I have no idea why we treated him so badly
the guy is good

but just like with Santi…he needs service
For sake of all that’s holy please abandon 4231
go 433
make the striker the focal point
let Leao and Pulisic spam crosses
let’s have something resembling a build up play
C’mon it’s staring us in the face :fp:
Fofana-Reinjders - Bondo = not the worst midfield ever

Building a project around Gimenez next season is foolish considering his performance at milan thus far

If we buy another striker to build around, he likely won’t have the dog in him to fight back

Is he really 35m more valuable than Morata who we let go? i don’t see it.
We don't need another CF; we need a real SS. Jovic's game today is another proof of that fact. He played as an SS in a two-man attack and dominated the game in a role that was not even his own. He's a penalty box serial killer and needs someone else next to him doing the dirty work so he can be in the box finding those little pockets in the box, sniffing out opportunities.

Santi and Jovic could work together, but only with a seriously hard-working midfield behind them, something like "Pulisic -- Fofana -- Reinders -- Musah." Ideally, we'd have a real DM in there and a better RM. In that kind of team, Santi and Jovic would eat against these provincial sides.

That lineup would finish bottom half of the table. Jovic scored on a defensive fuck up by Fiorentina or else no one would be talking about him.

In a perfect world, we don't have such an unbalanced squad that "fantasy" lineups like this are even a thing. Jovic scored vs Napoli as well and when played with another striker, scores consistently. AND we're already at midtable, my boy.

I hope this trade war liberates us from Cardinale. I have zero hope or investment in anything until he’s gone. I went through all of the stages.
Sporting stuff aside, which is awful, the only thing to focus on is the outcome of the new stadium. Once that’s figured out then maybe we can start thinking about liberation. We should know by the summer one way or the other how San Siro is going to play out.

For the people with brains -

Pulisic and Leao are still in Serie A top 3 assists rankings. 1 assist behind top 1.

But we have 0 players in Serie A top 10 goal scorers. Lol.
We've spent 35M on Gimenez and Con won't even let him play.

So, Sergio's Milan in a nutshell is leaking goals like an crack whore.

And we are barely scoring shit in return.
There's your real problem.

Sometimes I hate being right. When Concy was hired, I immediately remembered his Porto and how they played, how I hated their playing style and just felt the jeepers. Now here we are...

Who are you again? I don’t recall you ever watching bbbelan play? Can you name all our players without googling?
I've literally been on the forum longer than you have.

I watched our match yesterday.

I was there when Dodo fought with Theo Hernandez. I was there when Dodo scored an offside goal and they celebrated for 2 minutes before it was ruled off. I was there when Tammy got an invisible injury. I was there when Fofana (I think) completed his transformation into Peg-Leg Kessie and took a 30 yard shot which spooned wide and over instead of playing in a forward. I was there when their player scored an audacious goal after a clear foul. I was there when the referee slipped over at least 6 times across the entire match. I was there when Chukwueze passed it to Reijndeers and he fell over and it went out for a corner. I was there when Gimenez got an impromptu hernia and had to be subbed off after being subbed on. I was there when Gimenez fucked up an easy 1-on-1 with De Gea. I was there (bbboth times) when De Gea turned into Lev Yashin against us this season. I was there when Leao applauded the referee. I was there when their player went down injured and then was clearly still injured when coming back on the pitch. I was there when Tomori got into a tussle at a corner and it looked like the Fiorentina player had spat in his face.

Maybe shut up was harsh but reading your asinine vitriol again and again and again is taxing.

Conceicao this season has been an odd one.

We played his Porto multiple times and they never resembled how we play now (maybe in one or two of the big games, that is it).

He joined and we instantly became one of the most gung-ho, ultra-attack teams in the world. It was crazy and yet I seemed to be one of the only people who noticed and was a bit nonplussed at it. We went from Pioli Hero-ball and Fonseca nonsense to Sergio - who I always thought was more grinta and workmanlike - and then we were playing a literal 5-0-5 with extreme forward pressing. We would counter-attack and frequently have more attackers than they had defenders, we would cross it and have 5/6 players in the box.

It was, in short, very exciting but also clearly lunacy.

Unfortunately, the results fell off when this playing style ceased. We all know that the attacking fluency tends to go out the window when the results fall off a bit - even Pippo started his tenure with us being very exciting offensively - but it just all fell off and it didn't move back into something resembling quality or coherence. It would not surprise me if the players simply got too tired for it to work, plus other teams figured it out a bit. Fofana, for one, was a major player earlier on breaking up play and resetting but then he became clearly too frazzled and hasn't been the same

We do seem better in big games but we also got knocked out of the CL timidly. Overall, not a positive season unless some miracle happens.

Till the last few years where I don’t give a fuck anymore about this bbbelan piece of shit garbage team.

My eyes were fixated on Tomori. That guy has the reflexes of an 80 year old man.

Theo showed flashes of his old self. Maybe he needs the right coach to get him back on track. They should look to sell Leao for the highest bid possible. He’s so lazy.

He had that one run where he really looked like his old self – but De Gea denied him with a superb save.

On the flip side, in the first half there was a moment where Parma just walked through our left side and nearly scored – while Theo, wearing the captain’s armband, was too busy having a chat with Dodo a few meters away, completely uninterested in what was happening behind him.

He was also partly – if not largely – at fault for both goals.

For me, he’s still miles away from redemption.

I'm not sure about that. There were rumors that we offered Jovic short term contract. If Jovic get 80% of his Frankfurt form, than Gimenez would be luxury we don't need. Jovic is still young.

Gimenez is 23 and scored 70ish goals in the last two seasons. Give him a pre-season and a bit more patience to settle in a new club, league and country. He'll come good.

Now that I can use this narrative to my own advantage: remember CDK? :o

His Musah obsession is really next level shit. Especially when he ha s to constantly sub him out before HT.

Or maybe he's trying to prove a point. I don't know.

To be honest, though, Gazidis watched Maldini hire Giampaolo and then Pioli, who started off about as bad as any of our recent managers, so I never really blamed him for beginning the process of intervening. From a corporate perspective, it showed a lot when he essentially admitted he was wrong and gave up the pursuit of Rangnick when Pioli got things going well.

The relationship never recovered, though, based on Maldini returning the backstabbing when he spoke with Gazzeta.

Back-stabbing a man who was fighting cancer at the time, mind you. Not cool.
