Remove that 1 from the ''1500 Euro'' and you have the average wage for a teacher in Kosovo
Wow! How can they survive with such low wages!

Growing up most of the girls in my classes turned to be teachers, secretaries, or housewives. Now they can be anything they want: lawyers, cops, doctors which is good for them.

It used to be like 170 Euro a month back in the 2000s, and school janitors used to make 60 euro a month
Groceries and stuff are cheaper, or at least they used to be since nowadays inflation is making things more difficult
There's a lot of unemployment too

On a positive note, I'm happy with the appointment of Barzagli as an assistant coach, an under-rated defender that moved from Palermo to Juve where he became an essential player for Ladri and Italy. Should work exclusively with our defense and work to improve them individually and tactically.

Yeah he's a genuinely great presence to have. He wasn't very fast as he got older but he was so good at predicting when to step forward or when to drop back
Both gabbia and thiaw should do well to listen to what he has to say

I think their focus is on getting top four (at least) at all costs, the absence of even EL revenue will not just impact broadcasting revenue, but less match-day revenue, merchandise, and I'm pretty sure our sponsorships are heavily linked to European appearances--we have distinct European training gear, for example.

All I want is for them to get top four next year, even if I think they should be aiming the Scudetto (and should have been the last two years) which is what they said, consistently. But, at the end of the day, not playing in the CL at all is horrible.

I actually think they did aim for the Scudetto – not at all costs, sure, but no one in Serie A really does. Still, they absolutely went for it and failed spectacularly because they thought they were smarter than everyone else – which, as you rightly said from day one, they clearly aren’t.

I’m convinced they assumed Top 4 would happen one way or another, worst case EL. I doubt they seriously considered missing out on Europe entirely. Reality hit them by Christmas, hard – hence the panic pivot with Sergio and a mercato tailored around him, even bringing in his golden boy Felix. That crashed and burned even worse.

Now, hopefully, we've reached the point where they’ve finally told themselves: "Okay, maybe we’re not the smartest guys in the room after all – let’s hire an actual sporting director and spend serious money on a proper, title-winning, old-school Italian coach to get this thing back on track."

Because yeah, Gerry might not give a damn about Milan’s sporting heritage or emotional weight. But he does care about money, and Milan not playing in the CL is a direct hit to his wallet. That’s the one big, fat, often underrated safeguard we fans still have: he can't afford mediocrity.

I'm not too thrilled about Barzagli. And honestly how is he underrated? If anything I always heard too much praise for this guy considering he was starter in 2017 final where Juve conceded 4 goals to Real Madrid.

We have the best defenders of all time Maldini, Baresi, Nesta, Tassotti, Costacurta and countless others but we are getting Barzagli to be the defender coach?
I don't really get it tbh.

At least Gattuso will whip them into shape, give them hell if they play uninspired or lazy like they've been under Spalletti that none of the players said they were sorry to see go.

On a personal level I'm happy for Rino and hope he does well but the pickings are slim. Watched the match on RAI and the analyst Adani said that Serie A is composed of 70% foreign players, which makes our choices limited. I would lower it to 50 and give chances to young players to fill the benches.
In the EPL over 70% of players starting are foreign, I don't think the issues for Italy are that there are too many foreigners.

Italy's problem is that their attacking talent is horrific. Their midfield is fine, Barella and Tonali are top-class midfielders, while Locatelli, Frattesi, and others are good enough, especially as the next generation looks promising with Pisilli and Casadei. Their defense with Bastoni, Buongiorno, Di Marco (as a wingback, only), Udogie, Scalvini, Cambiaso, Di Lorenzo, Calafiori, all good players--but again, Buongiorno, Calafiori, Scalvini are all injured. In goal they have Donna, Vicario, Di Gregorio, Meret, Carnesecchi, they have a great keeper unit, one of the best in the world, actually.

Then you look at their attack and... Daniel Maldini is there. He shouldn't be. Lorenzo Lucca is not good enough to play for Italy. Retegui should be like Iaquinta, a guy who is there, he shouldn't be Italy's starting 9. Moise Kean might be a late-bloomer, but unless he steps up for Italy, he's going to be like a Pazzini.

Chiesa and Zaniolo had insane speed and power, but they both got too many injuries. Zaniolo also seems to be a top-level moron. Insigne was the last top-level winger for Italy, that's terrible. Who is Italy's winger talent today? I can't think of one.

Italy keep producing a bunch of tiny 10s like Baldanzi and Pafundi, who aren't even physical enough to play like Bruno Fernandes or Bernardo Silva, but Italy just keep producing these guys, like Liberali, who do great in youth games but then fizzle out when they need to step to the next level. Obviously I want Liberali to turn into Phil Foden for us, but I don't see that coming from any of these 10s that Italy keep relying on to win youth tournaments.

Italy have trouble in their attack, no speed, no threat, no power, they got nothing there. The only world-class attacking talent that Italy has is Camarda, and most young players don't pan out, and who knows if the kid makes it?

Most of Italy's best players are set in a 352/343 type system, fine, but even if Italy don't have injuries, would you say this is Italy's best lineup?

------------------Kean---Retegui
Di Marco---Frat/Ric/Loca-Tonali-Barella--Cambiaso
-----Bastoni--------Buongiorno------Scalvini/Di Lorenzo
----------------------Donna

That's not a great attack, and it's not like Cambiaso is as good at attacking as Di Marco is, so what's the point of playing with this setup when it means you force Di Lorenzo into a RCB spot and sort of duplicate his efforts with Cambiaso, and it's not like you're using this extra cover for terrifying strikers, they're not. Spaletti tried Raspadori behind Retegui, but should Raspadori really be starting for Italy?

Has @Samaldinho just been an early ChatGPT adopter all this time? How can one man type 19 paragraphs about how he would theoretically deploy a midfield of Adli, Fofana, RLC, Modric, and Xhaka,
Writing is not difficult for me, thankfully. I also get bored during conference calls that take up my afternoon.

The Musah situation is like you're at a party and all the hottest girls are fighting for the brokest, ugliest dude with no car 🤷‍♂️
But he's got a great sense of humor and can make all them girls laugh. :taphead:

There's always a reason why he's in demand.
It may be as simple as these coaches thinking:
Reality Tv Love After Lockup GIF by WE tv

So in the end he can still implode in their faces.

Can someone explain what is the plan. All the players are in sale and if someone interested the player will be sold.

Now all the other clubs know Milan has the money and will ask premium from their players. You can’t just sell 4/5 your so called top players and keep the same level (or try to raise the bar). I do not understand this logic. Maybe Allegri will fix everything…

We don't know what players Allegri are aiming for.
And there is no confirmation that all the money we bring from sales will be allowed to be used on the Mercato, because other teams know we have to fill the no UCL hole. Teams negotiating with us cannot ask for unreasonably high premiums, given we can just walk away from the negotiations. Moncada and Tare's lists are many.

I trust Tare should be able to find some bargains.
Xhaka is between 15-20M. Modric coming on a free. Whoever we buy should be within that range of a budget unless we plan to pay a buyout fee (like we did for Zerkzee last year). And if we're negotiating for unknown names, they'll cost even less.

Gonna support Como. Those fkers are trying to create something, Ibra and the crew are sleeping on the job

You never know mate, he could be the next Kaio Jorge. Boy did we dodge a bullet with that guy.

Ladri wasted 3 years of wages for just 9 appearances an 0 goals.:taphead:
