The more they save on the LB, the more money they can use on the RB.

We're pinching pennies until we sign that backup Striker, and who knows, if we save enough from all the other deals, that backup might just upgrade into a Starting ST, with Gimenez as the sub.

Dominion and success – especially outside of Italy – won’t happen in a league still run by dinosaurs and choked at every corner by politics and bureaucracy. Doesn’t matter what Gerry wants, what we want, or what anyone dreams of.

The sooner people come to terms with that, the less heartbreak there’ll be when Milan – or any other Italian side not coached by Simone Inzaghi – fails to consistently challenge for the CL. Which, in essence, is what you've just said and what Gerry meant on a macro level. That's my point.

On a micro level? Sure. We can disagree with Gerry and his band of baboons all day long. And we should. There's enough damage done that has already been discussed to death. But the whole "they don’t want to win every year anyway" trope is still annoying as fuck.

True, the bureaucratic system in Italy on so many levels has strangled the opportunity for growth until that changes nothing can move forward. We know this to be true.

I think it is safe to say many have already accepted this but cannot trust RedBird, Gerry or his yes men. As you say there is ample cause to not trust them, given the chaos they have caused.

Are Gerry and Co the guys to change this I have serious doubts, what exactly are their intentions or plans? No one really knows because there is very little clarity in their direction and actions.

I think RedBird want to win they need to but their infrastructure is so chaotic it is becoming clear they bought into the wrong sport. Gerry should have stuck to baseball.

I hope for some major also , but it is just hope . Most expensive probably will be CF , but not more expensive than Gimenez . It should not be . Someone for reviving but on reasonable wage or young who need to make next step . I am not excluding also selling Maignan and signing another GK .

Serie A champions Napoli signed Lang, KDB, Bukema, Lucca and still figthting Inter for Lookman, Inter signed Sucic, L Henrique, Bonny and pushing for Lookman, Juventus signed David, Sancho ... all of them without loosing any of the key players from last season. Roma completed the transfers of Wesley, El Aynaou, and Ferguson, while our Milan sold Deers and Theo. with all the respect two players that could actually make a difference, both playing for their NT etc... what kind of future is ahead of us???? we lack at least 2 starting FB, Jashari and probably a starting CF to be competitive. ok i can leave with just a solid Gimenez backup if the other 3 positions are filled properly. Estupian, Doue, Jashari and Boniface/Vlahovic are minimum to be competitive.

Forget Origi he was a bad signing before he even arrived or was connected to Milan. It was a bad idea time has proven this.

Origi is the least of Milan’s problems, there are now several more wasted transfers clogging up the squad who bring nothing and cost real money, some were brought in for substantial transfer fees and are on high wages.

And worst of all they will be difficult to move on

You guys are trying to argue about Origi as this unique financial problem that we will never recover from, meanwhile... we've spent a lot of money on Emerson Royal, Chuk, Musah, RLC, Morata, Pellegrino, Terracciano, Pavlovic, Felix, Walker, Okafor, Sottil, Bondo, etc.

But even with the absurdly lopsided transfer ledger--ooo we sold Theo on his last year!--there still is this, minor, tiny, little problem:

We got 8th place.

But have no fear. We aren't losing that much in a single year, don't worry.
