If 4 or 5 of those 7 hit, it will already be more successful than these past two seasons.Let's see......Reijnders (70), Mike (25), Theo (20), Thiaw (25) = 140. We spend no more than 20m on players....so that's 7 new players. Yep, sounds about right (big number of signings). Couple of years from now, 1 or 2 of them pull "a Reijnders"....rinse and repeat. We're doomed man. We'd be lucky to end up like Dortmund or Ajax at this point.
I'd agree, the chances aren't greatWell what are the odds of chivu being the right man and continuing with the results they had under limone? I'd say pretty slim
We'll see. I'm hopeful, like any fan i guess. But we have zero reason to be confident of anything. If 4 or 5 of those 7 hit, it will already be more successful than these past two seasons.
If it gets us #20 and UCL qualifications, I would trust Allegri and Tare more than Furlani, Zebra and Scaroni to reinforce the team with better.
Disagree. Abate's success in the Primavera should have landed him the Futuro job. he should have had that chance to further develop the core of kids that he brought up.I'd agree, the chances aren't great
Considering the shit position they are in, I don't think its the worst gamble, he obviously had a very successful time as a player there and should command respect as a result, and more importantly, his results as the coach of their primavera was excellent.
I can't speak to the talent level that he was working with, but I do think that success is worth something
And like us last summer, I would have rather gambled by promoting Abate than hiring a known dud like Fonesca. Good chance it wouldn't have worked, but I prefer the unknown that has showed promise coaching the youth team over known mediocrities, which is basically the situation they're in now
Modric Hjulmand RabbiotProbably rabiot and someone else
Oh I 1000% agree there. He was the obvious choice for the Futuro job.Disagree. Abate's success in the Primavera should have landed him the Futuro job. he should have had that chance to further develop the core of kids that he brought up.
I will never forgive Zebra for not letting that happen.
Ok, I remember Seedorf for Coco, our best trade ever.Inter's biggest rival is Juventus, not Milan.
There have been over 20 direct transfers between Inter and Milan, and more than 40 players played for both clubs during their carewr. That's not a rivalry ffs, we're practically best friends.
Meanwhile, transfers between Inter and Juve are far fewer, almost nonexistent.
How are you and your dad holding up?I can't image the amount of crying that would be happening in here if we had signed Chivu instead of Allegri. Merda in the mud.
Oh shit, my bad and have no interest in stereotypes but for some reason thought Tare was Romanian. Remember Chivu as a very good player in Serie A but hadn't heard that name in ages until he got the Parma job.Tare is Albanian, but this may be a build up to a derogatory gypsy joke, so not sure…
Pirlo actually also came over from Merda.Ok, I remember Seedorf for Coco, our best trade ever.
Googled it, and while I can't speak to the old timers, hell of a list of players that played for all three (as you'd expect)-Pirlo actually also came over from Merda.
That guy has played in all 3 of Italy's top teams.
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Juventus 2004-06; Inter 2006-09; Milan 2010-12): Ibrahimovic has played for a lot of big clubs in his day, but he found a lot of success among Italy's three giants. Italy is where Ibrahimovic's famous run of domestic league titles picked up steam. The streak started with his final season in the Eredivisie. But after joining Juventus in 2005, he won the Scudetto five years in a row with Juventus and Inter. Obviously, the Juventus titles have been stripped, but he still won during those seasons. After returning to Italy from Barcelona, he won the Scudetto with Milan in 2011. That was the final domestic title of the streak.
- Andrea Pirlo (Inter 1998-2001; Milan 2001-11; Juventus 2011-15): Pirlo did not have a lot of success at Inter, appearing in only 22 matches over the course of three years, most of which was spent on loan. With Milan, he became an international star, winning the Champions League twice, white also famously helping Italy to the 2006 World Cup. At Juventus, he won the Scudetto four years in a row and was a catalyst for the Bianconeri as the they reached the 2015 Champions League Final.
- Christian Vieri (Juventus 1996-97; 1999-2005; Milan 2005-06): Vieri is most known for his star years at Inter, where he played more than 150 matches in all competitions. However, he played 31 combined matches in Serie A with Milan and Juventus.
- Edgar Davids (Milan 1996-97; Juventus 1997-2004; Inter 2004-05): Who was not a fan of that hair and those goggles? After several successful years with Ajax, Davids spent one year at Milan before moving on to Juventus, where he became a Serie A star. After his final year at Juventus, he played 14 matches for Inter in Serie A during the 2004-05 season.
- Patrick Viera (Milan 1995-96; Juventus 2005-06; Inter 2006-10): Viera only played two matches for Milan, but that qualifies him for this list. Combined between the three clubs, he still did not make as many Serie A appearances as he did with Arsenal. He played 406 matches for Arsenal, compared to 138 in Italy.
- Roberto Baggio (Juventus 1990-95; Milan 1995-97; Inter 1998-2000): Baggio and his awesome hair spent most of their career at Juventus and Fiorentina. He still managed to play two seasons each for the Milan clubs. He scored 115 goals in 200 matches for Juventus and kept high scoring rates at Milan and Inter, as well.
- Aldo Serena (Inter 1978-79, 81-82, 83-84, 87-91; Milan 1982-83, 1991-93; Juventus 1985-87): Aldo Serena really liked playing for Inter, didn't he?
- Enrico Candiani (Inter 1937-46; Juventus 1946-47; Milan 1949-50): After nearly a decade of service with Inter, which included a Scudetto and a Coppa Italia victory, Candiani ended up playing for Milan and Juventus near the end of his career.
- Giuseppe Meazza (Inter 1927-40, 46-47; Milan 1940-42; Juventus 1942-43): The San Siro is officially named the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, and rightfully so. Meazza is a legend of the early years of Italian football. After a long run with Inter, he played a couple years with Milan and one with Juventus.
Really nice of you to remember the situation first off, and to ask. That means an incredible amount to me.How are you and your dad holding up?
Speaking of the Merda Chivu situation:Googled it, and while I can't speak to the old timers, hell of a list of players that played for all three (as you'd expect)-
I am really happy to hear of that progress! Yeah, doctors are weird when it comes to this stuff. Some are really pessimistic, and others more upbeat and proactive.Really nice of you to remember the situation first off, and to ask. That means an incredible amount to me.
So, after I posted here that a doctor had said there was nothing more they could do because his kidneys were fucked and therefore he couldn't have more chemo, we got a call from a different doctor. He disagreed, and said there was one thing they could try.
They got him in the hospital and basically replaced most of his blood with fresh stuff. His blood was full of so much chemo and other medicine it was basically no good. This treatment worked, and he is now back on chemo again, and doing well!
In February he was halfway out the door, but now he's still fighting. June 16th will be two years since we were told 6 to 18 months.
Huge thanks to everyone who sent prayers and positive energy. Here's proof it makes a difference.
Inter is a system based football club, is isn't our situation where a manager comes in and decides what he wants to do with the squad.Well what are the odds of chivu being the right man and continuing with the results they had under limone? I'd say pretty slim
All the best to your dad.If anyone sends well wishes for my dad, please don't think I'm being ignorant by not responding. Heading out for dinner and a movie, so won't be on until tomorrow. Have a good night all.
15 millions and bye bye. Sign immediately Svillar.Mike told the club he wants to join Chelsea
There’s that famous leadership he brings to the club
I’ll be honest I cant trust a keeper with that face15 millions and bye bye. Sign immediately Svillar.
Well he can only blame himself. The Mike saga is a little bit more complicated than him wanting to leave us for greener pastures. I think there’s some resentment on his part for how the club didn’t negotiate his renewal as enthusiastically and punctually as he would have liked a few months ago.
