Strange phenomena indeed.

Hating legends of your club and continually ridiculing them is equally head scratching
That's why you have to separate the player from the man.

  • Real Madrid: 8 wins by 8 players—all of them won while wearing the white shirt.
  • Barcelona, Juventus, AC Milan: each have 6 unique winners who secured the accolade during their time at the club.
  • Manchester United and Bayern Munich follow with 4 and 3 unique in-club winners respectively.

Note: Other clubs (e.g., Dynamo Kyiv, Inter Milan, Hamburg) also have in-club wins, but their totals fall outside the top five.

I probably didn't explain it well enough but meant that a player fresh from balon d'or award the season before didn't produce as expected and was sold after two seasons. Had a great career overall, thougr
JPP did well for us but struggled with injuries in his second season
20 goals in 34 matches first season
11 goals in 29 matches second season
A bunch of these were sub appearances and not starts

After that he left at 30/31 years of age to Bayern but struggled with injuries even worse and it's there where he actually failed big
3 goals in 12 matches for Bayern 1st season
3 goals in 28 matches for Bayern 2nd season
No my friend, Milan got fortunate in comparison... we got one great season and one decent one out of him

All in all he was much better for us than for example Rivaldo who even though had been fantastic for Brazil in their 2002 WC win he was actually finished the moment he came to us and was such a huge flop that he won the inaugural Bidone D'or

More Balkans please. granit? What a wonderful name hope he is good.

Give a scouting report. Is he like Balkan Carlo ancelotti in midfield?

Granit with a bunch of Serbians he fought against and eliminated from the World Cup twice in the same team, should be entertaining

That’s true Yugoslavia. I have a jersey ready when they kill each other. Hope Gerry release 25 year one to make money.

Can’t wait for so many flamini level red cards

Sorry but half of this is bs
We got Rivaldo the same season he won WC on Bosman, we couldn't have predicted him flopping
Baggio was definitely on prime with us, that's crazy talk
He could never gel with big clubs who didn't play heroball and built the team around him though but he did okay enough

BTW it's arguable if JPP would have won 1991 Ballon D'or if Yugo war didn't break out
You could argue Savicevic was robbed that year

The discussion was moreso B spending a lot on Ballon D'or tier players or players who had already won it
As for having to get players before they win Ballon there were plenty of those we bought but we didn't always get lucky

BTW Ballon D'or has always been bullshit
I looked up 1963 when Milan won their first CL and Altafini is so low on the list that it's frankly insulting
This is the same season where Altafini set the record for ECC/CL goals which didn't get broken for like 50+ years by Cristiano at Real Madrid
He should have been easily at least in the top 3, France Football magazine is a joke

Ronaldo wasn't "THE Ronaldo" here. But he helped us in the 2007 CL season.
I have his jersey. You have no idea how happy I was with him in a Milan jersey.
Hell I used to be an insufferable twat when the guys came over to play playstation.
Overall, we'd probably been better off with Eto'o but :b: unserstood the emotion* of football fans

He may have overdone it also 👀

We're playing heardball for the player which means we know there's something there. He was scouted because there is something there.

If Conte has wanted him this bad for this long (this goes back months now) then I'd be hesitant to sell, provided Max wants to keep him.

But I like that we're making Napoli pony up... Mgmt playing it well, they KNOW Conte re-signed w the assurance he'd get what he wants
Interesting take

Ronaldinho was the one we chose over Eto'o, not Ronaldo
Ronaldo we got for 8 million on January so we didn't exactly break the bank for him

When he retired in 2011, I felt football was never the same after that
Saw his testimonial match for Brazil, he didn't even score that match... it was hard to believe that he was retiring

Sneijder should have been included in the Kaka deal.
Same as Drogba in the Sheva.
But for that you need a shrewd SD & G wasnt that.

If i could turn back time

Flog Kaka to city for 100M in January 2009

Then when Real began their firewall

Buy KJH, Robben and Sneijder in the summer for around 50-60M

We would have been set for years with those 3.

We also would have stopped inter winning their only ucl in the last 60 years (thank you PSG) ... and Bayern would never have become the force they did with Robbery

Another Ballon D'or winner who played for Milan I forgot
Roberto Baggio
Fuck me I can't keep up with all these Ballon D'or winners who played for us

This is why I'd never disrespect Berlusconi

He spoilt us rotten, and people on here show more love for a lb than the guy who actually put it altogether

Idiocy back then was insane.
It was like G doing it on purpose because no one is that stupid.

Kaka didn't want to go to City at the time unfortunately
Agree with Robben and Sneijder but not with Hunter because he failed here
I would have gone Robben, Sneijder and Eto'o instead
Would have also sold Pirlo and gotten Xabi Alonso for midfield

He should have forced Kaka out...if real.wanted him so badly he should have told them to cough up more than the 70 they paid for him.

But hindsight is a wonderful thing. Who would have thought robben would go onto peak like he did.

The guy was amazing for so long. Bayern got robbery for 50M

And they terrorised europes best for the better part of a decade

They have to be the greatest wing pairing I've seen in my lifetime.

Perfect combo

Robben the selfish cunt and Frank the provider.

Lvg deserves alot of credit for bringing the best out of those 2.

Hunter didn't fail here. He just wasn't given enough time. The guy was class... I dont care what anyone says. He went to schalke and destroyed it

Didnt need to force him to City, but ffs get some players in exchange from Real.
Maybe Robben was a gamble.
But it was ibvious about Drogba, Sneijder, Tevez, Crespo & many players.
Dzeko was dying to join & Ibra.
Just bad decision after bad decision.
