Yeah.

I've been thinking that I wouldn't mind Theo being named permanent. What about you?
When Theo playing with armband, he played like being possessed and performed at 1000%,
while Calabria, I think since he became our captain he's been playing underperformed.

different in mentality?

Hauge pls come back! ( before you shit on me for having different ideas to Maldini...imagine if we had him to stick out on the right)
We’re basically getting Renato for the money we made selling Hauge.

Yeah, Theo looked immensely proud to be captain as well. You can't pull all kind of shit when you're captain, he knows he can when he's not

But club rules will prevail. Davide is a fine specimen, had a bit of an up and down season. But his mentality is not to be questioned I think. One of the players to whom lifting a Scudetto as captain will instantly raise his levels.

I agree. I think Davide feels the weight of this scudetto more than most others in the team. He's been through the shit years, he knows how bad we were and how different things are now. He's probably just getting PTSD flashbacks of passing the ball to Biglia or something. Hopefully all that goes away when he lifts the trophy.

It’s just not normal. And almost never tackle. Always on his feet.

Kalulu is just world class in a making, man marking, positioning really really a masterclass except for aerials on which he must step up to be a complete and world class...👏👏👏

You feel me now what I meant about these LGTB and other propaganda? This non-stop campaign trying to force people to accept and support something is never going to help with the integration of the minority groups. Having PSG numbers on the back written with rainbow colors is changing absolutely nothing, especially coming from a club owned by a country that officially forbid any LGTB signs during the upcoming World Cup. Grade A stupidity.

These are Calcio Finanza numbers. I'm using them to see our next season budget with the expected transfers to understand what sort of window we can expect. So our total player cost is around 130m last season. We've been on a very consistent reduction of our total player cost every year since Maldini took over. Now here's the fun part:

Milan 2022/2023
1652942091927.png

Here's what I did:
OUT: Romagnoli, Ibrahimovic, Kessie, Conti, Ballo Toure, D. Maldini, Castillejo, Caldara, Colombo, Hauge

IN: Botman, Florenzi, Parisi, Renato, Mahrez, Origi, Belotti

I'm not counting players that might stay on loan like Brahim (Calcio Finanza didn't count them either).

I'm also assuming we're renewing and raising the salaries of all the players in yellow.

So what does that do to the budget? It goes up by less than 4m. This is absolutely insane. I'm assuming we're spending 95.5m to buy the players we need and all this is included in the calculation as amortization. The total amortization on the books for next season will most likely go down, because we're releasing a lot of players, but also because we're extending quite a lot (which stretches out the amortization over the length of the new contract).

What this means is that we can get all these new players, give them reasonable wages, extend and raise the wages of our key players like Leao, and only have to increase our budget by what we just got from Frankfurt as a bonus for winning the EL.

Our total player cost as a percentage of our revenue (300m) is around 43%. Way, way below the 60% limit that the FFP mandates.

To have such a low percentage and still achieve our sporting success is absolutely unheard of. This is one of the greatest sports management achievements in history, and the great thing is that it's not going to be a short burst like Leicester, as Milan has a much higher ceiling, history and ability to retain our players if we need to. This is a foundation for long lasting, dynastic success.

I read you post, go browsing on Twitter and fall righ on this within 2 mins… complete coincidence

We arent even that hated by juve and inter. After reading their forums, to me it seems that most of them rather see us win the league than see the other team between them win it. It's like they dislike us for being direct rivals and for what we've accomplished in CL, but not much for anything else. Outside of italy, most teams actually want to see us back among the elites

This was absolute porn. Holy shit.

Amazing job by you in putting together the time to make this.

As I was saying earlier, our total wage + amortization likely doesn’t increase much at all due to the outflows from this year. You have proven it perfectly correct.

Top post

Edit: Florenzi is pretty expensive for what he brings, is he really worth redeeming at those figures? At 2.5 and a 2m wage maybe, but these figures would make him one of the most expensive players at the club

Thanks! I'm just going by what Calcio Finanza said Florenzi is paid, and gave him a 2 year contract and 4.5m transfer fee, which is our option on him. If we get him for less, great! If not, I still think we should get him. Italian, versatile, excellent squad influence.
