I think I will split both and go with 17 G+A (I'm reall shit at these things)
- As I said I wont only rate him by stats. I expect him to be the starter though I can see Giroud start the season and maybe Pioli opting for Giroud to start big games initially.
I expect him to be a competent finisher and making our attack more potent even if he isnt getting the assist which is why I said initially it wont be down to his tally.

My main issue with Giroud in between his productive times was that he was wholly useless and it was severely hurting our attack. He simply couldnt shed a defender and it was painful, whatever Origi provides I expect to see better movement and buildup than that most every time he plays.

I'm not sure about the timing, but let's see Leao do it for more than one season, and I'm sure they'll gladly give him a good salary.

I want to see Leao being decisive in big games against big teams. In important games, he has shown up, like against Lazio, Atalanta, Sass, with pressure, he's shown up.

But against Inter? Napoli? Juve? Porto? He didn't really do anything. I want him to decide big games against big teams before I clamor for him to get 7m.

Thing is, if he shows consistency, that he can do it for more than one season, and even improvement, then negotiation next summer is going to be at 10m a year.

You gotta factor in that they will disappear at crucial point of every other season. So you either pay them less or avoid altogether. Ultimately it's money out of their pockets. It's a real issue, and it should be discussed. Of course ADL, with his sensitivity, is the last person who should touch this subject.

I think at best we can expect an 8-10 goal season for him and maybe another 5 assists. Considering Messias and Salad combined for around 7-8 goals last season I don't think that will move the needle on its own if CDK is the holder for that position.
