But Allegri himself said he risked Thiago Silva for that game. He knew something could've happened with him during that game.

And I also think it is possible that Thiago himself was aware of that and wanted to play anyway. Sometimes, I think the coach has to say "no" despite the player's will. Now we don't have him for two more important games than the one against Roma. And two games that he could be absolutely crucial.

Having Thiago Silva for a game against Roma is important, as he's the best center-back right now. But having him against that Barcelona side in two different legs looks vital, even more decisive.

From Thiagos face expression when he leaves the field i think he wanted to play ... But Al should have said no for fuck sake :(

Allegri has no clue about managing the 30 man squad! He can manage first 11 setup and the rest is in god's hands. Its all bullshit.

To risk your best player 10 games before the end of the season + CL games is ridiculous.

We are 4 points ahead of Juve who has weaker squad then we have. Whole year we havent played at our 100%, same last year. MAybe few games but that is it. Preparations are horrible and rotation is also.

PR, taking the blame instead of blaming your staff (the right thing to do).

Why not? Roma was fighting for the CL spot, and it was a complicated game overall, and one we had to win in order to either mantain the gap with Juventus or increase it. We used the best squad available at the moment...

And vs Juventus...it was vs Juventus, Coppa Italia, SerieA, CL, Tim Cup...games against chief rivals are always crucial, or at least are games you're looking to win always, specially with the recent issues we've had against them.

But like it's been said over and over...the player and the medical staff have the biggest responsability (before the coach), the medical staff with the player are the ones that give the green light to the coach, who will just play his player if the guy says "Yes I can" and the medical staff tells him he can.

Exactly.

If Nesta's fit for the Barca game then I doubt we'll miss him badly. Abate, MVB, unfit KPB, Aqua and Binho however..

We are gonna miss him BADLY

Nesta is just returning from injury and very unfit. That coupled with his age is a bad combination

Plus neither Nesta nor Mexes are speed demons, so we are likely to get burnt a lot without Abate and Silva

What I wanna know is this:

WHY wasn't Silva subbed during the Coppa when he got injured DESPITE the fact that we had subs left?

If anything, playing him the whole 120 mins in the Coppa was the main reason why his injury got aggravated

And deny all you want, but the blame for that solely lies on the coach. Dude needs to fuckin' prioritize. Did the same shit last year when he played Silva in a meaningless game against Ajax despite the fact that we had a tough schedule coming up....

Allegri has to start using his head and show some belief in the team...

Silva didn't have to play the Juve game or atleast not all 120 Minutes.

Silva didn't have to play against Roma, especially if you think about he already played 120 minutes in the midweek and showed some injury problems...

Allegri :max:

Has to learn his fucking rotation.

And we seriously have to fire the motherfucking medical staff!

I hate this selective thinking on the whole forum. If you don`t like something, write it off as PR.

Medical team probably told him that he can play but there is a lot of risk involved, and he decided to play him.

I think you greatly overlook the fact that it depends on the player as well. Every footballer (ok, sans Tevez) wants to play every game. If your star player feels that he's fit enough to continue, you generally tend to take his word for it. I know it's not obvious watching games from the comfort of your couch, but there's probably no player that Allegri communicates with more from the sidelines than Silva. Constant glances, signals, gestures - they have an incredible understanding, if Thiago wasn't in a state to continue he would've waved his arms and asked for a substitution. In hindsight Allegri should've taken him off, but adrenaline probably influenced Silva in underestimating the extent of his knock. No one person is at fault here.

thats true, but then overuse him in week in week out its different case, i guess no proper back up and Mexes injury in early season leave Allegri with no option.

We'll get knocked out and now without a doubt. But it doesnt matter as scudetto is our option.

And Allegri has a lot of things to learn. But he is big headed coach who is stuborn. First mistake was Pirlo and keeping Seedorf ( this year look who did better. Zvone Boban commented on how Allegri's fault it was actually etc.), second is absurd trainings that injure half of the team or something ( not only his fault but he is the coach ), then rotation and the way he has no balls to play the team without Thiago and Ibra.

Thiago should have been subbed after 45min in Torino! Idiot Max started to think its PES...

Coz the man never was in a big club and his leading of 30 man squad is rubbish. He looses his head.

''Milan doesnt do turnovers''

Looks like galliani has no clue what the word ''turnover'' means:fp:

This could have come in a worse time. The team will not be the same without thago. Well done allagri.

goal.com is reporting we will make him captain next year in order to help keep him from joining Bartha or Madrid

that would be nice, it annoys me when I see abbiati wearing the armband.

Because Silva for example deserves it more.

I love Silva, but no, he doesn't. Abbiati has been with the club longer and has actually done more for the club (huge part played in two Serie A titles).

Silva will be captain one day, but not yet

If we play with low defence Nesta is just as good as Silva.
