I like Silva, very good centre half, but he'll never replace the legendary Nesta.

The Italian was on another level, but to be fair to Silva, no defender of the last decade was as good as Nesta.

Nesta is a legend :star:

but never say never, Silva still have the chance to achieve great things here with milan :D

Unfortunately i wouldn't be too suprised if TS moved to another club this/next summer. Even though CDs very rarely change their clubs the brazilians are among those who do this most often. That would be nightmare for us simply because even if we invested 100% of his sales money in new defender i dont see anyone close to him in potential. So Thiago please stay!!!

Manchester City have launched a stunning bid for AC Milan defender Thiago Silva.

If they can pull it off, City will have trumped Barcelona for a player regarded the best centre-half in the world.

Corriere dello Sport says City are prepared to slap down €30 million on the counter for Thiago Silva and are also open to discussing a swap involving Mario Balotelli.

Balotelli would move to Milan for a price €20 million, meaning City would only need to cough up €10 million to land Brazilian Thiago Silva.

i hope this doesn't happen (or maybe for 90mil:D)

Replacing Thiago Silva with Balotelli are you shitting me?

Silva represents everything good in a football professional and Balotelli represents everything bad, if we accept this, I would be convinced that Berlusconi is posessed by the devil.

the other factor being one's a CB and ones a CF

Unless we are getting Balotelli to play CB

In any case if we do sell Silva, Ibra is guaranteed to want out

no way no way NO F**KING WAY i swear i will be so so angry if we sell T.S., we sell T.S then that speaks volumes for what kind of ambitions we have as a club, how can you replace the best defender in the world, impossible. T.S. goes then Ibra also goes. i swear if we sell him the curva sud may open a can a whoop as on berlu and galliani, im talkin the kaka protests that time a few years back X100 :mad::mad: the big difference in circumstances here is T.S is at the top of his game and at the top of his career, Kaka was on the way downhill and we wanted him to stay more for sentimental reasons more than anything else

From Spain: Milan offers Thiago Silva Thiago Alcantara (and 10 million)

As reported by "Sport.es" , Barcelona, Milan would be proposing to the exchange-Silva Thiago Thiago Alcantara, plus a cash payment of 10 million by the Catalans. A hypothesis that seems rather fanciful, linking two very different players from the value.

that could be G's strategy. at the end of this summer, when we fail to land any big name player on the market, he will claim victory in retaining Thiago Silva.

That would be a good victory. TS cannot be replaced.

Though I would love to see a 'big name' arrive, keeping TS should be considered more important. We can still improve the side without a big name signing, just smart signings.

Galliani and Berlusconi can fuck off with this retaining victory bullshit... as far as I am concerned, the only person who is unsellable in this team is Thiago Silva... Ibra, and the rest can all fuck off but Thiago stays

Manchester City through Mancini asked Thiago Silva to Milan. Milan made the price: 50m €! So far, Milan haven't included Tevez in the deal with Thiago Silva, but asked for Kolarov on loan.

We can forget about winning even Coppa Italia next season if we sell him.

City has two top players in the defense: Hart, Kompany. If they get Silva, all they need to win CL is someone to replace Mancini.

That would be the highest transfer fee for a defender in the history of football

I said this when Barca was sniffing. If we put TS on the market, City would scoop him up and pair him with Kompany........ please dont let his be so.
