Just googled re revelations.

To me it doesn't have that RE feeling that I have while playing RE 1 and 2 couple of years ago. (then again, imho they have moved to different direction since RE 4)

It feels more like playing doom, but with zombies or whatever you call them these days :D

That said, I'm waiting for Operation Raccoon City for some nostalgia moment with RE3 Jill

You're right..in a way it's a bit like Doom..and it has to be said, the creatures look really unrealistic. More like Martian aliens than former humans that mutated.

But oh, I'm really rethinking my decision not to get a 3DS..thing is, my eye's firmly on the PSP Vita, but I just MUST play RE: Rev. MUST.

Looking at all the videos, the gameplay, the bossfights..man. Epic to say the least.

I've played almost every RE that's been made..that's the more reason why Rev won't pass me by. :proud:

Jill is very much her Resi 3 self..she's in her form-fitting battlesuit and has a really perky ass :o:o, but she's tougher than coffin nails. The part where she puts her hand through decaying human flesh just to retrieve a handgun..while her new partner Parker Luciani, a hunk of a guy, writhes his nose in disgust: :star: But really she's seen it all. You survive Nemesis and nothing's scary again. Ever.

Chris and Jill pair up at the end. Whatever you do Depreciation, play RE: R.

That monsters looked like the president monster from ff viii if you know what i mean.

That (dead) girl is clearly an amateur, she threw her handgun! Should've keep it, might find some magazines under some tables. :D

This on 3DS looks like a bad match, should have released it on console platform. I don't own a 3DS because I couldn't stand playing it for more than 1 hour. It really hurts my old eyes

I lost the list.
Fucking Sony and Nintendo always keeping good games locked on POS systems keeping me from enjoying them.

Japan needs to learn that PCs are for more than visual novels and pixelated porn.

Is it because PC games are very easy to be pirated (sorry don't know the correct terms).

This is a common thing in my home country though, it is almost impossible to find original games in the game store, all are pirated :D

Pirating PS3 or 360 games is hard? I'm sure you'll find out otherwise if you look a little.

PC sales break records every year.

So many people said that was the best of Final Fantasy series. I love FF series, so it's kinda annoying if i never play the best of it.

I only played FF IV - X.

I would say FF VII is still the best, FF X is my second favourite in the saga. But it came down to people's opinion after all.

I played FFI, II, III, IV, V, VI, all on DS and VIII on PC, somehow i missed on FFVII. And for me FFVIII is the best.

FFVIII was a unique experience, enemies level up with you, you don't get money from enemies but from your salary as a SeeD (I passed all the 20 tests using cheating answers lol). The triple triad was a great minigame as well.

Shame the characters were not that memorable to me, except Quistis.

Hahaha same here. The card game was really cool, although some rules were so annoying. It's shame if you forgot about Squall, even Zell was an interesting char. You remember Quistis because she's hot and flirted with Squall right? Hahaha. And i really love those GF (Guardian Force), so cool.

Shoot I'm busted, haha.

Yea there's nothing much I can remember about Squall and Zell, apart from Seifer called him a chicken wuss :D

GFs are cool, keep pressing that square button on Eden so that it can deal 60k damage lol.

president monster in ff? no idea

The only FF I ever completed was the mobile edition, seen my bro beat quite a couple of them though. Not exactly a fan. I'm thinking of getting FF Tactics for my VisualBoyAdvance emulator today.

Yep, unfortunately Rachel was a greenhorn, new kid on the block. Got turned to an Ooze for having such great tits.

I can guarantee you won't have much eye issues on the 3DS....I've played it enough to know......and I haven't seen hd complain either.

Except you're like 73 or something :D..........media just spun everything out of order, it's only in rare borderline situations that you'd get stung after playing for like maybe 9, 10 hours at a go.

FF Tactic Advance is a great game.

I actually have tried playing 3DS game, can't remember the game. It's this shooting game where you shoot balls at monsters that are flying around your room. Kinda like the mosquito/virus game in the old nokia phone. It's hurting my eyes after a while lol, dunno whether the fact that I was still using glasses back then is a factor or not.

Is this RE a typical gimmicky 3DS game? Or just a standard action game on 3DS

edit: just saw the clip, that guy must be really nervous when Rachel first walked down the stairs to get Jill, he missed almost every shot

Yeah.......even omegaared gets nervous in boss battles, just like the rest of us. :D

Dude's a good gamer, not a great gamer...but what sets him apart is his really interactive wts....and his gay voice.

I'd say RE: R is pretty much an action title, like most Resi games from 4 up. One quick way to judge is the fact that you can fire while running or strafing.....Capcom tried to bring in our beloved survival horror moments from the much earlier Resis, but it didn't seem to gel. At least we can be grateful we don't have to spend a whole 3 minutes doing a 180 degree turn in Resi anymore....that was pretty annoying but it did make it scarier. And the slow opening of doors. But tbh I prefer these new Resis.....more action, more gore, more grotesque, HUGE bosses.

Once you've gotten used to the 3DS you won't have any eyeaches in time......it's really in your head.....everyone's said stuff bout it so your mind works that out. Fuck the media furore....relax and enjoy your gaming.

I think there'll be a lot more serious games on the 3DS this year....I've changed my mind, will get it. Rev, MGS, Kingdom Hearts...... :proud:

Final fantasy? I've seen enough to know it's a great series....just that turn-based RPGs haven't been my thing from the start....Dirge of Cerberus was cool, an FF fps ......Vincent :proud: With time and a lot of my bro's influence I'll probably grow to like FF. He's crazy over the series just as much as I am over Resi.......so much that he's already planning his very own RPG...he's written a bit of the plot already. He's an amateur programer but he's done a good enough job with the source code.

So that's the final boss? Meaning you have watched all the playthrough before playing the game?

Not worried that it will ruin your gameplay experience? possible spoiler, surprising plot twist, etc..

Naaaah, Rachel isn't the final boss....Jack Norman is. But I've seen his vid too. :D

I've pretty much seen most of Rev atm.

There's a major plot twist involving Jessica Sherawat, but I know about it already.

I'm so excited about any new Resi, so for the period it'll take before I get my 3DS, I'm eating up anything Rev related. For me that isn't spoiling anything......it actually spurs me to want to play it more. :star:

Now I must make a distinction here.........most of the vids I've seen were boss battles, not true wts. I don't EVER use wts if I'm going to play that game, ever. Even omegaared's wts had most of the gameplay, weapons, secrets and stuff editted out....what you'll see are the boss battles straight up, and any important cutscenes, of which he tends to remove anyway.

So they really aren't spoilers at all.

I just finished my very first amateur Resi compilation vid today :proud:...but it's not going live yet, still rough around the edges. Once I can get more source vids from many Resis and ofc, CS5, the real cinematic experience begins.

Witness Corz sitting on his 'director seat' with the beret on and the clapperboard......lights, camera, create!!

You might be able to get FFX working with a PS2 emulator. I remember finding links for a friend 3 years ago, but I don't know how it went.

In my experience, emulators are hit and miss, so trying it is the only way to know.

Sooooooo true....emus are hit and miss. :(

But like I told hd, the more complex the console you're emulating, the worse it tends to turn out. SNES emus, Sega, GBC/GBA, DS, N64.....they're relatively ok, the top ones.

But once you begin moving into the PS domain, PS2, Xbox emus.....:head: You get all sorts of .dll patches and BIOS files, yet the bugs never go.

Then the roms themselves come with their issues, the ISOs. Some of them are good, but all in all it's really a hit and miss affair, unfortunately.

I played Symphony of the Night for PSX on an average dell laptop and a desktop with an old nvidia tnt card (circa 2003) and it worked well. I haven't tried it for a few years and the site I downloaded things from seems gone.

This forum seems promising http://www.requestiso.com/forum/index.php if anyone wants to try. I got several games to finish on steam, so I won't be doing that for a while.

Thanks for the forum link ......seems to be much better than the has-been, ngemu.

PSX generally is good...got it but haven't fully configured it yet......just guess the only rom I have for now?

Resident Evil 3. :proud:

I'm up to here playing all the other roms on the other emus (VBA, Project64, etc.) So for now I'm not getting more....I have my eyes on a decent PS2 emu though.

DopeROMs is a great site too, but it seems companies like Nintendo are pulling off the very popular games...like OoT or Mario Kart. Either that or you don't see the vanilla versions.....just mods.

The actual PSX emu I have is ePSXe, seems ok.....I think it also works nice on Linux's Ubuntu..haven't tried that yet though.

I used ePSXe as well for my PSX emulator too, works on most RPG games. I used a 2005 dell laptop.

Didn't find a working PS2 emulator to play persona and disgaea back then :(
