Sure, Kessie isn't a CAM. We all know that. But he offers more than Diaz does physically, in his presence, than Diaz certainly has as of the last couple of months. You want my opinion though? Saele should've started centrally, or Krunic. Saele last time was thrown in mid and was everywhere. Didn't look as out of place as Diaz who is meant to play there. Crazy.

Krunic is the back up CAM. Ofc not Brahim. Pioli was using Krunic a lot more in the first half of the season but his last start hasnt been since Inter copa game. Where he played cam and we dominated them. Not only is he a well rounded system player with the common atributes for cam but he also adds height to our team. Not having Kjaer and starting midget trio midfield means we have zero height. Pioli needs to get his head out of his ass and go back to his old tricks. You play the out of form Diaz or the defensive midfielder Kessie and then wonder why we can barely kill games 1-0.

There's room for debate whether to start Krunic or Kessie, but certainly no clear winner to the extend of calling Pioli a pussy.
